Salmon, Filet
Skyla L.

Haven't been here since I was a kid! This was wonderful. We went around lunchtime on the wknd. They had a great looking buffet brunch, but we opted to order off menu. I had salmon with side of fried onion strings and daughter had filet. Excellent food. Swift, pleasant service. Very cozy atmosphere. Would be a great place for date night, a group, or just casual like we did. Highly recommend!

CHICKEN FRIED LOBSTER
Shelette S.

This place is truly rustic; it smells woody. Not a bad thing, it was just the first thing I noticed when we walked in. We had a reservation but it wasn't full or even halfway full so they didn't ask- just took us to a table. The server came out really quickly and was very cheerful. We ordered drinks and the calamari appetizer which the man really enjoyed. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. For the main entree I asked about the chicken fried lobster but the server had never had it. She mentioned that it was pretty popular so I went ahead and opted for that with the wedge salad and grilled squash. The man ordered the ribeye with onion strings and a baked potato. The salad was so good. I could have just had that and been happy. The lobster was ok. The batter was pretty overpowering but the lobster was cooked nicely. The ribeye was cooked to perfection. We spent just under $210 with tip. I could go back but it wouldn't be at the top of my list.

Lemon drop martini with Anjeo tequila

We had reservations and got there about 20 minutes early. We noticed people coming in after us with no reservations were being seated before us. When we asked where we were in the list we were told we wouldn't be seated until our reservation time. Odd to me but okay, I guess. I did think the wait for the food was long but giving grace because it was prom weekend and they had several parties. Considering that the waitress did her best being attentive but a person can only do so much. The food was good. The pork chop was overcooked for my liking. The steak was cooked to perfection. Ironically enough the salad was the best thing for me. I could have gotten that and would have been satisfied.

Steak fajitas

This place is on the pricey side, but the service is great! We split the steak fajitas. The meat was tender and had a lot of flavor.

Bad fajitas and a combo plate

Skip it. We meant to go to the Dallas location which is rated better than this one but we came here because my boyfriend picked the wrong address on our gps. Big mistake. The food was mediocre at best, the people next to us were so loud and were talking about super personal things at the table. Our tables were so incredibly close so it was hard not to feel like we were in their conversation. My fajitas were not seasoned. They were the worst fajitas I've never had. My boyfriend got a combo plate and that was okay. The cigars were the best part of his meal. We immediately tipped the person who was there for live music when we got there because she didn't have any money in her guitar case but then she quickly took a "break" and came back on right before we left. When we left we noticed that she took the money we gave her out of her case and it was empty again so that must be a strategy she uses to get more money. The whole experience was not good. With so many better options, just skip this.

Chicken Sandwich

Very cool little restaurant. The ambiance was very fun! The menu was a bit lacking and I had a hard time finding something to order, but once I figured out what to get, it was a good experience. Decent food but very pricy! We ordered 2 entrees and that's all and it was $90+ for a steak and a chicken sandwich. That's my only real complaint.

Patio seating with live music
Arun P.

Making a reservation online was easy. The restaurant was busy and had to wait at the reception before we could be seated. The reservation was for patio seating but they gave us a table inside and we requested a table in the patio. What's the point of a reservation if the details are overlooked? The live band inside the patio was good. Be aware that drinks in the patio are served in plastic cups only. Started off with margaritas which were nothing to rave about. Chose to switch to red wine. Guacamole for the appetizer was ok and so were the steaks. Service at the table was good but there were misses on requests. Overall an ok-ish experience. Pricing : High, considering the experience. Not worth the money spent. Will I return? : Probably not given there are restaurants that offer a great experience in the area.

We love eating here. The fajitas and salsa are delicious and on the weekends when they have live music we love to sit on patio.

I pulled up and there was a woman a bit to tipsy to drive, and a bartender came out insisting she call an uber and made sure she got home okay, so they have my respect for that great first impression. They only have 3 things on the menu: burger, hotdog, and Doritos nachos. I ordered the burger and it was pretty good. Honestly, no notes. I'll be back.

It's never felt like a place that values new faces or fresh energy, and that's a missed opportunity. As for karaoke nights, it's no secret there's an inner circle. If you're not part of it, good luck. Despite signing up early and showing up ready to contribute to the night, I've consistently been pushed back or overlooked. It's hard to ignore when the same familiar faces keep rotating through while others wait endlessly. The karaoke host (yes, you know who you are) makes it clear who's in and who's out. If you're confident, talented, or don't "fit the clique," don't expect fair treatment. Some people protect their spotlight at the expense of others -- and that's exactly what happens here. It's unfortunate, because karaoke should be about building a vibe, not gatekeeping one. It's no wonder the place was dead last Saturday. Places that don't grow community eventually lose it. I'm speaking up not out of hate, but because I believe people deserve to know the truth -- and Rockwall deserves better than what this spot currently offers.

I fell in the parking lot, wasn't even their responsibility. It wasn't their fault, but their staff, was more than helpful, made me feel like what's in the right place. Next thing they did, was to comfort me, and give me medical treatment. I mean it was only a few scratches. My forearm was bleeding. Of course. I was bleeding all over the parking lot. But they didn't care, they took care of me when I need them. They opened their bathroom, and they gave me sufficient medical care to get home. I've never been in Dudley's bar before. But I give them a AAA reading on there staff, and need to be helpful. It seemed like a bunch of off duty. Paramedics took care me. I very much appreciate their time and their care.

However, this being our 4th time visiting Dudley's, I was surprised to notice that the "locals" seem to get the attention of the bar staff. I understand that they are probably all fast friend and buddies but, we're paying customers as well. It was difficult to get someone to take our food order, another beer, water refill, etc. All of the action this Sunday was clearly with the regulars. Not the best experience at one of our favorite brunch spots. We don't need much and pretty much want to be left to enjoy the atmosphere, however we do need some service when we're empty.

A week later and I am still thinking about the delicious food and fantastic service! We didn't wait…read moresuper long for a table and the hosts were great. We took my dad to dinner and he complained that it was a little loud, but felt like we sat right under a speaker. I explained to him that it was part of the "vibe". Other than the volume making it difficult to hear, everything was fantastic. We probably could have asked to sit on the heated patio. The chips were warm and fresh and came with both red and green salsa, and both were super tasty. My husband asked if I could make salsa like that at home! We ordered drinks and they came quickly. I appreciated the quality of the drinks especially since we mostly ordered from their drink menu. We ordered "The Good Guac" to start and our server made sure that it wasn't too spicy or anything for my dad. I thought that was very thoughtful that she asked if how it came was ok. For food we ordered street tacos, Baja fish tacos and the parillada en fuego. The food runner seemed confused and brought us another dish (maybe the Verde molcajete) but with the loud music the message that we didn't order it was lost in translation. My husband thought maybe it was what he ordered and started in. Because our server came to check on us so quickly, she caught the mistake right away. She apologized profusely and said they were bringing what we ordered. They allowed us to keep the dish, and no sooner did we have a few bites of the deliciousness the correct food came out. They checked on us quickly, apologized profusely, brought the correct food immediately, let us keep the other food, sent another manager to apologize and finally followed up with coupons to return after making sure we were satisfied with how they handled it. I understand humans make mistakes, so I feel like the recovery or response is what is important. This is the type of amazing service that will keep us coming back. We were actually happy with the mistake as we were able to try another dish we likely wouldn't have ordered (but ended up being our favorite thing to eat). The ambiance was fun, parking was easy, the wait was reasonable, the service was FANTASTIC, the food was delicious and food/drinks were made with quality ingredients. We'll be back!

Well, the good was definitely the chips and salsa. The chips were lightly dusted with some seasoning. I didn't take the time to figure out what it was, but it gave them a nice kick. So subtle but so significant. Unfortunately, my experience kind of dipped from there. Service was slow and a bit inattentive. I got the Molcajete parrillada en fuego. The literal translation is mortar grilled over fire. I should have asked what that meant because most Molcajete dishes are heated over fire. What it means at Vidorra is cook the meat, drop a hot coal in the mortar and put the cooked meat with a little mole on a grill screen over the mortar. It's basically a fajita dish served on top of the mortar bowl. However, it doesn't stay warm. Needless to say, I was disappointed. That said, the verde Molcajete that someone else got looked as expected. No one else (there were six of us) raved about their food. So, I'm in no rush to head back.

My daughter had the Moline Rogue, her fiancé a gin and tonic, my wife a red wine, and I went with the Fig Paper Plane (which, I'll admit, I forgot comes in a pretty fancy glass, lol). All of the drinks were excellent. We kicked things off with the hummus and bam bam shrimp. The hummus was delicious and very smooth, but we did run out of naan bread pretty quickly. We asked for more and didn't realize there was an additional $5.50 charge. Not a huge deal, just something we would've approached differently had we known. Dinner overall was very enjoyable. My wife had the miso salmon with Wade's Brussels...great flavor, though the roasted carrot purée leaned a bit salty. Our daughter ordered the grain mustard glazed salmon, which was very good, just slightly heavy on the mustard (easy enough to work around). My future son-in-law had the blackened shrimp pasta...rich, flavorful, and no complaints there at all. I ordered the market catch, which was Chilean sea bass. Since it's Lent, I requested no bacon. The owner personally came out to explain that the bacon was incorporated into the lentils that accompany the dish, and they were more than accommodating in offering a substitution. I went with the carrots with chili crisp, which turned out to be a great alternative. Aside from the slightly salty purée and the surprise naan charge, everything was well executed. The service stood out, especially the attention to dietary needs, which was very much appreciated.
