Just divey enough. Will definitely go back again. Four stars just because our mixed drinks were on the noticeably week side.

The first review was 3 stars and I was not impressed with the food. Service was good. This time, I went for lunch with a friend on a Friday and the restaurant had very few customers. I had the two tacos for lunch ($11.99) with seasoned ground beef and I liked them. They were not the best tacos I ever had, but they were good. They came with salsa from a jar (or so it appeared). The accompanying tortilla chips were over-fried and not very good. Our server was very attentive and helpful. No problems with the service. This restaurant has changed ownership three times in the past three to four years. One change was COVID induced. Given the nearly empty restaurant at lunch, the way things are going, it does not look good for this ownership. It's a good location so I wonder what the problem is.

There were lots of kids enjoying the space, which makes it a great place for everyone to gather. Goodfriend has a great beer selection, fun specials, and a menu full of casual favorites. It's perfect for a weekend afternoon, meeting up with friends, or just enjoying the Dallas weather outside. One little thing I noticed: we've been able to split appetizers for payment in the past, but this time we weren't able to. Not a huge deal, but a little more consistency with payment options would make the experience even smoother. He was a nice guy, service was good. We ordered some appetizers, which were phenomenal. A side of macaroni and cheese that had some homemade potato chips on top. And every single entrée our party ordered did not disappoint. Literally all 8 dishes had 0 complaints. I think this speaks to the quality overall at the restaurant because that is hard to impress 7 teenage girls and a foodie adult.
