ZERO STARS BC NO REASON FOR EVEN EARN THE 1 Someone stole my designer purse so obviously my friends and I went and asked the bartender if someone had turned it in. She then got upset at us for asking (suspicious if you ask me because anyone in their right mind would freak out and ask if a purse had been found duh?) we then looked around all over seeing if someone had left it or was wearing it or threw it out because you never know and they had thrown my camera from inside my purse away in the bathroom trash so we were trying everything we could to find it. After I got yelled at for asking the bartender lady for my purse my sister went and asked a bit later and she got kicked out??? (Again...suspicious) I filed a police report and went home because my night was absolutely ruined. The poor security guard who was working and said he was new was super sweet tho and apologized for the bartenders behavior and said he's heard she's an issue. I was told to call back on Monday when the manager was in for video footage. I called on Sunday to follow up AND on Monday multiple times and no answer. I emailed and DM'd them and again no answer. I tracked down the owners email, Leah Mosier, and she finally answers me. I respond telling her what happened and am again being ghosted and she has not replied. This establishment is absolutely horrible at handling business and issues and conducts business in a sketchy and unprofessional manner. You run a business based on customer service and providing an enjoyable experience--let's act like it shall we? If you want robbed and scolded tho i recommend! Wear your nicest purses and items here if you want to get rid of them, free of hassle! (Side note: multiple people who I've told this story to from the area all have their own horror stories about this sketchy place and how it draws a dangerous crowd. Many of them have also agreed that the women bartender is known for being sketchy and has been involved in a similar situation with a missing purse before and looking through other reviews this bad obviously has this kind of reputation) read more

Came here randomly on a Thursday afternoon & had a great experience. London, (our bartender) was so amazing & down to earth! Be sure to ask for him if you want some really great drinks! I was able to park right in front of the establishment, however I would imagine it to be harder to find parking on a busy night. I tried the chicken linguini and it was okay, nothing to rave about. However, the bar was definitely a vibe itself with all of the Halloween decorations and diverse music selections. There were some small table games, 2 pool tables and a few TVs for entertainment. I stopped by this weekend to relax and have a drink after a long day of work. I am still shaken by the way that I was treated. I initially ordered a mixed drink and sat at the bar enjoying the music. Before I left I noticed that they offered frozen drinks so I ordered one from a different bartender. The gentleman slammed the drink down and to my surprise threw my card with the check holder at me. I calmly asked him why he had chosen to throw the check holder at me while passing everyone else theirs. He responded "I don't give a fuck about your feelings." When I told him his behavior was rude he decided to pour out the drink that I had just purchased, while smirking at me. Instead of stooping to his undignified level I asked for a refund so that I could leave. He then called me a broke black bitch and threw a $5 bill at me. He proceeded to ask security to escort me out as if I were the problem. I go out alone often and have never felt unsafe doing so until that night. I would urge all women and especially African Americans to think twice before patronizing this establishment. Had I read the reviews before stopping here, I too would've chosen a different venue. I've traveled as far as Asia alone and have never felt as vulnerable and unprotected as I did in that bar. In addition, I will assume that the owner is ok with his bartenders barbaric practices because my initial review was deleted. I will be sure to share my experience on every platform. He was too busy playing pool to play rocky top or accept anything as a tip, kept walking away after every song. I was completely disrespected and screamed at by the bartender, Chris (long hair in ponytail with a beard). I was not drinking. I was with three other guests, one of whom is my husband. We walked in and they ordered three drinks and asked for an ice water for me. I don't really like water without ice, not a wild request for some ice water. Chris told my husband he could get water at the end of the bar. (I wasn't at the bar but near the bar). My husband brought over a paper cone cup with some water and said they wouldn't give him any ice water at the bar. I was thinking what? No way. So I walked over and asked Chris for a cup of ice water. He said "You can go to the end of the bar and get water." I said, "okay, can I please have a cup of ice?" And he said, "No." There was not a line. No one else was waiting for drinks. Are you kidding me? I can't get a cup of ice after we are paying customers? I was extremely displeased so when the other bartender walked up, I asked him what the long haired, ponytail balding guy with the beard's name was and he told me it was Chris. I planned right then and there not to leave a tip. It is our choice as a paying customer to tip based off of treatment and service. We were probably there somewhere between 10-30 minutes, hanging out by the bar. Not that crowded, not busy at all. When we asked for the check, I took it to pay. I noticed immediately the 20% added gratuity and it all made sense. Of course this guy Chris didn't care how he treated me, he had a built-in 20% tip on the check. I marked it out, subtracted it from our bill and signed the $45 tab mind you. It wasn't like we didn't spend any money and even so - what is wrong with giving a customer a cup of ice? Chris was watching me the entire time. So I put the check on the counter and was waiting on my friends to finish their drinks since I couldn't have any ice water, I didn't have anything. Chris opened the check and yelled at me from behind the bar, "YOU'RE PAYING THIS TIP." I said, "No, I sure am not." Chris was livid. He screamed at me to get out of his bar. I was like I hope you feel really good about yourself for treating people this way. He was screaming, literally causing a scene. He told the bouncer to get me out of the bar. I said bro, we just paid, we are leaving. What's your problem? The bouncer came over to me, I told him that his bartender was flipping out because I wasn't leaving him a 20% tip and that bouncer left me there and he just went outside. It seems like he must know the deal with this bartender and he must powertrip all the time. At any rate, he caused a huge scene and literally screamed at me and started coming around the bar to come at me. I am sure you have video cameras and can see the entire event. My friend had to go get my husband from the bathroom so we could leave, all the while, it was raining outside, so I wasn't in a rush to go out the door. At the point he thought Chris was going to come around the bar and either lay hands on me or scream in my face, he began walking over towards me and the door as he was concerned about what Chris would do. I have called the bar 4-5 times, left two voicemails for the manager, Leah and sent this exact message above in an email to her but no response. They clearly don't care about anyone in their establishment and treat people like crap. Super disappointed in these people. read more

Only reason they're getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because they're a bit slow. Based on food and drinks alone, it'd be 5 stars! I had the supreme omelette (no pepperoni) and it and the potatoes were so good! Friends had steak and eggs (which is fajita meat steak), breakfast quesadilla, and the buffalo Mac n cheese and EVERYONE loved it. The steak was tender and the breakfast potatoes are well seasoned. Last time we came they had $1 mimosas but now they went up to $2 (still cheaper than other brunch spots). Came in today and they had $1 Rosé which will probably be for a limited time. Only downside of this place is they're a hidden gem so they're not used to big parties and they move kinda slow. But they're a great place. Definitely worth the try. read more

On a Henderson Avenue pub crawl this last Saturday with a few friends. This bar was on our list to visit and was next door to another one we had just arrived at. I was starving and the sign out front advertised $4 corn dog and fries and a $6 Taco Salad. Too good to be true, right? The corn dog sounded perfect, just a snack to get me over my hunger pains. That $4 corn dog turned into a $10 corn dog when the female behind the bar didn't return my money, I stood there for some time waiting and I guess she assumed it was her tip for such great service. Your big tip turned into a black eye for your business. Can I afford it sure, but the question is for people looking you up on Yelp, your selfish decision has now left a scar on your integrity. Unfortunately, I don't have much more good to say about the other 3 bars we visited that day. The first one charged tax on my drink order and rounded her tip up 93 cents (I guess she couldn't be bothered with bringing me that in change) or was thinking this would be her only tip, and the next place removed my 85% full beer from our table when I went to the restroom. This is probably my favorite bar in the Uptown area. My buddies from the Army and I try and meet up at least once a month, and we always choose this place. It's right in between 2 other bars, but we walk right past them and head in Hideaway. The bartender Is great, so is the food as well as the atmosphere. Definitely a 5 star establishment. They have Touchtunes so you can be your own DJ for the place until the actual DJ shows up. They even offer a military discount which I appreciate. They have games as well. read more

The service was incredible!!! Our server Natalie was such a joy and delivered excellent service. The food came out hot and in a reasonable time. Can we talk about the food? Delicious!! Onion rings were well battered and didn't fall apart. The corn fritters were excellent and I'm not even a fan of corn! I ordered the BBQ bacon burger which was the BOMB. Walked into the bar with my girl. Sat there for 15 minutes while the bartender talked to one person, not tending to any other customer at all. When he finally moves to make someone a drink and comes to the side of the bar that my girl and I are on I ask "is there a bartender that works here" he gets completely rude saying he's doing his job, tells me to wait, I told him I've been waiting and told me there's other bartenders at the other bars. So I did exactly that, went to another bar where the bartenders were great and did their job at a bar that was MUCH busier, probably because they give good service at those bars!
