This ended up being a great place to watch a football game on tv when Milo's was too packed! Was disappointed that they ran out of mozarella so I wasn't able to try one of these pizzas I've heard so much about. But I ordered cheese fries and they were solid! We found a table immediately and the drinks were reasonably priced. It got busier as the night went on but I appreciated that it wasn't too loud to hear other people talk! read more

Me and a buddy of mine stepped in to check it out and were very impressed with the atmosphere and overall vibe. we went ahead and sat at the bar since it was just us and left the booths and tables to any larger groups that might come in. The establashment does have an outdoor patio with some really nice murals, but again we opted to pony up to the bar. All the staff was nice and attentive and everyone was greeted the moment they stepped through the door. We will be back for sure!! read more

I'm surprised this place doesn't have more stars. The service is awesome. Omar, the GM, is the great, as well as all the bartenders we came into contact with. The vibes in this place were perfect for my over 30 group. The music selection was perfect at the right volume where we could still have conversation. We came in on a Saturday and it wasn't too packed which is exactly how we like it. The kitchen was closed but we were able to order food to be delivered. read more

Wants to be Barley & Milo's so Bad. Shit priced drinks & even worse food & service. Never offered water refills or 2nd drinks, half of the menu wasn't available, waited 30 mins for bill after persistent asking it started to feel like a prison. Our server seated herself at the bar & ignored us. Music also went out for 30 mins of our meal & they played the same five songs when it would come on. Overhead lighting way too bright. Empty on a Friday night. Gave it a shot, maybe any effort from the staff or the environment would've made the experience even slightly better. - SMU alum 2021 read more

The Mulder burger was good but i was not a fan of their fries because they had a sour, vinegary flavor. I tried a sample of one of the cocktails, but it was too sweet for my taste, and I didn't find many cocktails options that appealed to me, so I ended up ordering wine instead. The service was very slow throughout our visit. My friend waited a long time for her drink, and our first waitress forgot to bring our water and disappeared for quite a while. The second waitress, who took over later, provided much better service.

If you have ever been on the hunt for a go to dive bar that still has that old school charm to it…read morein Old East Dallas, this is it! It made our Sunday so much fun! Some of our family wanted to get together for some pool, and if you are a Dallas local, you know how hard it is to find a good reliable spot that has multiple pool tables! Bryan Street is that gem we have been looking for! From beginning to end, our experience was great! The bartenders and waitresses are so friendly, and there was an open table ready for us to jump on! The only reason I would give this spot 4 stars is simply because our drinks were a bit pricey for a dive bar, but that did not stop us from having a good time! For food, we ordered their loaded tots and chips and queso! Both were good! Typical bar food perfect for the occasion! Overall, we will def be returning for another game of pool!

The bar has a back room for music on certain nights of the week, so a friend and I went on a Saturday night. That was a long time ago. I completely forgot about this place until we were in the neighborhood after going to Fair Park for kid's activity in 2026. The bar is kind of a dive bar. It is not modern or updated. But it has a ton of charm and reflects days past in East Dallas. We found a table and sat. The bartender was solo so he was doing everything: bartending, taking food orders, and bringing the food out. I wish his name was on the receipt because he was doing a great job and I wanted to acknowledge his efforts. He was pleasant and friendly despite having to do everything himself. There are about 20 beers on tap so the wife and I each had a beer and the kid a soft drink. We ordered a small cheese pizza for the kid and we shared a "Tavern Favorite" which comes with spicy sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and purple onions. We skipped the onions. Pizza came out very quickly and was piping hot. The crust was thin and crisp. The toppings were beyond generous. I have not see so many toppings for a very long time. The sausage was indeed spicy. It was delicious. The entire pizza was excellent and the bar earned its reputation for excellent pizza. The wife liked this place and there were some arcade games for the kid so I have feeling we will be back.

The bartender, Ryan, then went to work turning the pool table into a large dining table. He then amazed us by not only taking great care of all of the patrons at the bar but our large crowd as well. We ordered many drinks, appetizers and each had an entree as well. Ryan was flawless the entire time we are there. We walked in and immediately had low expectations. Ryan turned that around quickly and convincingly. Not only was his service excellent but the food was excellent as well. It reminded me of a trip I took to Ireland about 9 years ago. When you'd walk into a bar and felty like you were part of the community. Thank you Ryan! You killed it tonight!

They had ordered a bunch of appetizers for us to share so I was really not thinking that it would be enough for dinner, but they sure kept the food coming out the chicken strips with thick and juicy. The quesadillas was delicious. The tacos were crates and the wings had all different flavor flavors to them. The dry wings were my favorite. They were so crispy and seasoned perfectly. The wet wings were a lot of sauce and of course I'm trying to look dainty like a lady and I've got sauce all over my face, lol but it was all good. It was a great great time and the service was fabulous.
