    Brisket Egg Rolls

Visited from Sachse for the first time and greatly enjoyed our experience. The interior is quaint and highly decorated, even some fun I Spy activities for kids to spot certain things around the restaurant! My husband enjoyed the turkey and sausage, especially loving the unique bbq sauce. The fried okra was great, the Mac n cheese was just ok. I enjoyed the brisket egg rolls which were one of the most delicious things I've ever had! We also enjoyed the apple pie bites. The owner came out from the back and chatted with a few of the folks, very friendly! Can't wait to have those eggrolls again!

I don't know how anyone can give this place less than five stars. The food is amazing. The service is amazing. We were here for a wedding and frankly rye wait for the food at the wedding was too much. So my cousin and my nephews decided let's do barbecue. It was so good we came back the next day. What did we eat? Everything. Make sure to get the cobblers if you can too. They run out of some things because... It's so dang good.

Love this cute little Wylie based BBQ place! As members of Landon we typically pop in here to grab some grub to pair with our wine and it never disappoints. The fiancé who's from North Carolina loves the pulled pork, it's almost always the Big Bold Spud with chicken for me. The fried okra with jalapeño ranch - a must! They sell beer, wine and have tons of great sides as well as daily lunch and dinner specials. If your ever in Downtown Wylie EAT HERE and if you like spicy there spicy BBQ is one of the best in Texas.

Went down to downtown Wylie to check out some cute little local shops. We stopped by Bold BBQ Pit. We were drawn by the "rated best bbq in Wylie". For an appetizer, we ordered 2 stuffed jalapeños. The star of the show! It wasn't healthy, but it wa delicious! My fiancé and I ordered the meat platter to share. It is enough for the two of us. The Mac and cheese was absolutely delicious! My favorite were the dry rubbed wings! The BBQ sauces (regular and hot) were both delicious! Everything is made in house and owned locally.

Your typical Texas bbq place. Brisket was juicy but needed a bit of salt in my opinion. It was tender and good with the bbq sauce. Sides are mediocre, nothing special. The wings are good - crispy, juicy, well seasoned. Casual, family vibes. Food came out fairly quickly after we ordered - given we went before the lunch rush started.

We ordered a regular family pack, a meatloaf special & a gallon of sweet tea! Everything was delicious and we'd definitely be back, service was prompt and friendly!

What a great experience. We had so much fun here waiting for our order for friends tonight. My daughter loved the scavenger hunt that filled the time. Y'all were so personable and friendly, thank you. We enjoyed the live music as we waited too! Downtown Wylie sure is something special. We are so glad we ran across the Bold BBQ Pit while there. You delivered on our big order, and our friends loved it! Thank you, we will return!

Arrived Thursday, 12:10 pm, for lunch. Place was empty so I was able to walk up and order. Small dining room but has a lot of seats - cool Texas vibe. The lunch special - brisket sandwich - with an egg roll came to $20. The sandwich was so good. I forgot to take a picture cause I just dove in to eat it. I put the blazing hot BBQ sauce on it and it was awesome. Brisket eggroll is very good. Adding the jalapeño ranch is a nice touch too. Eggroll is good with the spicy barbecue sauce.

I liked it alot! First off, I love waiters who know the menu. She gave lots of details to our questions. The bartender also amazing. They accommodated my daughter's request for a non-alcoholic, frozen pina colada, which she loved. The hibiscus herb margarita is something I want again and again. Food items we had and recommend: - the Mexican chopped salad with shrimp and guacamole - the loaded nachos with brisket - the brisket tacos I saw other reviewers complain about the brisket, but I wholeheartedly disagree- I thought the meat was tender and flavorful. We were too full for dessert, but we look forward to trying that out when we come next time!

No one actually seated us -- we were just pointed toward a table. No menus were given. Cornbread was dropped off, still no menus. I eventually had to get up and grab them myself from the host stand. They apologized, but even then, they simply handed them to me instead of bringing them over. It wasn't busy, and I'm extremely patient -- I was a server for years -- but this was frustrating. It took about 10-15 minutes before anyone came by. Our server was friendly, but he didn't write anything down for our party of seven, and we ended up repeating our drink order. That should have been the first sign of how the rest of the night would go. We ordered the platter ($23), and the portion was surprisingly small: two BBQ meatballs, two mac and cheese bites, queso, and a tiny basket of chips. The food runner who dropped off the meals was rude, and the portion sizes overall were shockingly small for the price. The only dishes that felt worth ordering were the penne pasta and the pork chops. The short rib tasted great, but for $30, the portion was extremely underwhelming. When we ordered another round of drinks, mine was forgotten -- again, likely because nothing was written down. I had to let our server know it never arrived. He apologized and came back to say the bartender was busy and working on it. The bartender eventually brought it out personally. What really added to the disappointment was that the server noticed we had gifts and asked what we were celebrating -- but this was after we were already paying and packing up. I had noted on the reservation that we were celebrating Mother's Day, but even without that, it's something you typically acknowledge at the beginning of the meal, not at the very end. And based on other reviews I've read, this seems to be a pattern: instead of genuinely trying to fix issues, they either apologize in a way that feels empty or blame the customer for their experience. So I'm sure they'll have something to say about this review too. Can't wait for the response. Do better. Also, be aware -- because they do NOT mention this -- that parties of six or more are automatically charged a 20% gratuity. With the level of service we received, it felt unfair. If you're going to charge high prices, the service needs to reflect that. It didn't. We won't be returning. And honestly, the 1‑star reviews are accurate. Just prepare yourself. $400 dinner for lack luster experience ‍
