Ground beef cheesesteak? The website picture shows real thinly sliced steak, the way a Philly cheesesteak sandwich is supposed to be made. Imagine ordering a pepperoni pizza from a restaurant that has a picture of a pepperoni pizza and getting it home to find a piece of bread with catsup, a slice of American cheese and Lunchable sized bologna pieces. Talk about your bait and switch! This is the description of actual Philly cheesesteak meat from genuine cheesesteak restaurants: "Ribeye is the steak of choice for Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches. It is well-marbled and tender when cooked. Another cut that we have used with great results is flank steak which is lean but very tender when cut against the grain". Hurry! If you act now, you too can get a cheesy sloppy joe for $11.88! It didn't taste bad (that's why I gave 2 stars), but that doesn't excuse the fraudulent behavior of misrepresenting their product. You can't charge for a Porsche and deliver a VW bug, even if the VW bug is fun to drive - it's still not the Porsche you advertised. I never had shrimp on my cheesesteak and was skeptical but it was a great idea. The fried shrimp and steak went together very nicely. Overall i am very pleased with my experience. We ate here today for lunch. We both had the cheesy cheesesteak, mine with mushrooms. We ordered this item due to the many reviews about the lack of cheese on many of the sandwiches. I really like cheesesteak and this was not a bad sandwich. It just wasn't one of the better ones we have had. The meat was rather bland and a little dry. The cheese was also a little bland. I got the standard beef cheese steak meal with fries and a drink. The fries were crispy and perfectly season. The sandwich itself tasted fantastic, very simple and are provided with a range of sauces for your taste modification. Joel's special sauce was delicious and a personal favorite of of all at the table. Service was prompt and friend. After a long run in the morning, my hubby and I ventured out to Wylie for the first time and got cheesesteaks for lunch. I got a regular cheesesteak with extra cheese, while he got a cheesesteak with jalapenos and mushrooms. In addition, we got fries topped with more cheesesteak. So much food, and everything was of large portions. This was a calorific meal. The sandwiches were pretty standard, but still good. I'm not sure if I would get the same items, but I wouldn't mind coming back to try another item. As for the location, it is smack dab in the middle of DT Wylie, with a big interior and plenty of tables for dine in. If it's a good cheesesteak spot, you don't need much, just good service and hot meat from the grill on a soft roll. And cheesesteak house delivers for the most part. No whiz here, and while there cheese steak is lacking in the cheese department, you can always opt for the "cheesy cheesesteak" smothered in queso. We tried the poblano cheesesteak half chicken half beef, and a classic. Both came out hot and fresh, and the chicken was cooked up perfectly. Tender and juicy, with onions and roasted pepper throughout. The beef was decent, not the best and definitely not the worst. The buns are unassumingly delicious and though the exterior lacks a crunch i usually desire- the softness/juice soak upability/sturdiness all more than make up for it. I decided to get the cheesy philly cheese steak combo cuz I'm cheesy like that! My daughter had the kids cheeseburger and my son had some nuggets. Very casual so you can wear your socks and sandals or some chanclas con calce tiñes (Spanish) to relax even more. I liked the sand which, however I was thinking the nacho cheese (without any kind of add ins) so when I noticed some green diced peppers in it, my cheese journey came to an end. I still ate it though cuz I was Hangry. (Not hungry, yes! Hangry) my daughter liked her cheeseburger (no pic, Oopsies) my son had one nugget out of a whopping 5. We will be back. The 12 inch beef cheesesteak $7.99 came w/onions and cheese(sliced) smh...I added mushrooms and bell peppers for .69 cents each. I upgraded my sandwich to a combo for $2.99 bring my grand total to $13+. My poor score is solely based on the quality of the sandwich. It deserves 5 stars for perfectly executing the all American cheesesteak AND going above and beyond by providing several choices of house made sauces (instead of the proverbial wall of canned sauces that's so popular but boring these days). Clean tables, big TVs (no volume), nice and attentive staff, good soda/tea selection are all pulled off without a hitch. FUI it's a Pepsi house and Dr Pepper fans can rejoice! The icing on the cake is the buttery warm toasted bread, deliciously melted cheese and tender meat. Portion sizes are great and don't feel wasteful but will definitely fill you. First time here and the food was amazing. Came across Cheesesteak House on Yelp and my boyfriend and I decided to give it a shot. I saw a picture from another Yelp user of their "Jasmine's Special", which is basically a cheese-fry dream, and I had to try it. We just happened to know the store Manager, JC, from another restaurant we use to frequent often, and he was so amazingly friendly and polite. My boyfriend ordered the large beef cheesesteak and JC gave him a complimentary cup of queso to pour onto the sandwich. BF loved is cheesesteak. After we placed our order at the counter we saw them put our raw beef on the grill, which was a nice touch.
