Alright let's start this review off, came here, due to the high reviews that beat other barbecue places around Wylie, first impression I'm not gonna lie, I was skeptical, mostly my father in law was super hesitant. I wouldn't call it a whole in the wall, as some people do but I'll just say it wasn't as busy as I thought it was going to be. Maybe it was due to the fact it wasn't on a Main Street. Not sure but anyways. This was our first time buying bbq in Texas, and it didn't disappoint us. Food we ordered. 1/2lb ribs 1/2lb brisket All the sides but beans in medium cup size 9.75/10 Ribs Fall off the bone, juicy, succulent, seasoning was on point. Honestly probably some of the best ribs I've ever had. 9.5/10 brisket "fatty" I don't really like lean, was looking for a fatty cut and didn't disappoint, I was honestly shocked at the size of the cuts, they were thick, fatty cuts, the fat was perfect, melted in your mouth, with tons of flavor. 8-8.5/10 sides Not much to say apart from they were great, I didn't have high standards to begin with on anything but everything exceeded those expectations and standards. The highlight was the potatoes. Solid 9/10 The star was the peach cobbler, Solid 9.5 only thing that could have helped is if some of it had a crust. Service. Phenomenal, straight southern hospitality, this type of service was shocking and amazing. (We are From California) Overall this place deserves more attention. read more

Some of the food is pretty good, but the value for a piece of brisket that is weighed as a half pound, but the fat on top hasn't been rendered long enough (so actually getting much less than the half pound would've been at another bbq place) leaves us still hungry after eating. Sometimes the sides taste different too, so consistency in preparation is something they lack. read more

The little hole in the walls are the way to go! Everyone here is super friendly, the food was fall off the bone greatness. I tried the brisket lean and fat, potato salad, mac n cheese, potatoes casserole and lemonade. Everything was top notch and reasonably priced. I'm not a fan of anything on bone but they brought us a pork rib which was the best I've had in a very long time. This place does not disappoint! I placed a to go order and the man who answered the phone was an absolute delight. The great service continued when we picked our food up, and it was ready on time. I didn't get his name but he was awesome. My husband and I ordered a pound of pork ribs, large pinto bean, and large Mac and cheese. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, the Mac and cheese was really creamy, and the pinto beans were also good (I added their bbq sauce to them and loved it!) we both really enjoyed the sauce. The white bread and condiment station with onions, jalapeños, and pickles were a plus! I wasn't a fan of the peach cobbler but I will definitely be back for everything else. read more

First time to hit this gem in Wylie. Sits just off the downtown strip. Had the brisket was asked which end. I like moist over lean and was treated to four nice slices of just that. We had the Range ball! Boiled egg wrapped in sausage and bacon then smoked was different and good. Liked the potato salad and the BBQ sauce was good also. Staff was very friendly and helpful when asked questions about their food. Will definitely go back. It is nice to see a good BBQ place so close to us. read more

Great bbq, friendly people. Yes, there are political signs etc in the restaurant so if that bothers you then maybe this isn't your place. Personally I care far more about the food at a restaurant, so that's what I'm focused on. I've been here several times and the meat is always a hit. I think I've tried all of them, and you can't really go wrong. Brisket and sausage are my favorites, with turkey a close 3rd. Sides are good as well, and prices are typical for tx bbq. They've got the fixings over by the wall, if you want onions or peppers. Give the local spot a try! read more

I first reviewed Linke's BBQ about three years ago, so I figured it was time to do another and bring it up to date. Last time my wife and I ate at Linke's we were doing a hardcore adherence to a Keto diet, so we did not try the side dishes. This time we did try them and I wanted to share an honest review of them. I'll do that below! For our meat choices during today's visit to Linke's, we had the Pork Spare Ribs, Moist Brisket, and German Sausage. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned! The meats really were EXCELLENT! If I would offer a suggestion to Linke's Smoke Master, I would have liked the serving temperature of the sausage to be hotter. It was warm, but hot food always tastes better! Even still, if this rating and review were solely on the meats served up at Linke's, it would be FIVE STARS * * * * * all day long!! For our side dishes, we shared Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Potato Casserole, and Baked Beans. Neither my wife, nor I cared for the Potato Salad, which to her was a bit watery and to me it just did not have a consistency that I prefer. In the interest of full disclosure, I have to say that our family recipe for Potato Salad, that has been in our family for more than 50 years, calls for a nice balance of mustard and mayonnaise with just a hint of mustard shining through and the potatoes to be whipped using a hand mixer. Of course, it has chopped onions, pickles, and boiled eggs. We judge all Potato Salads by it and few rarely come close. So, just judge for yourself here! I enjoyed the Coleslaw, my wife again did not care for it. The Coleslaw at Linke's has German spicy mustard or Dijon added in, so it has a bit of a kick in that direction. If you're not a fan of spicy mustard, best skip it. If you are a fan of it, you will probably also enjoy the Coleslaw, like I did! The only other issue I take with both the Potato Salad and Coleslaw is that they are pre-packaged and maintained in a cooler space for self service, which is fine but can open a business up to potentially unfair criticisms and suggestions that they are not fresh. I would have appreciated a date on the containers, as a degree of reassurance of freshness, by the business. I enjoyed both, the Baked Beans and Potato Casserole. Both were hot and fresh and tasted very good. My wife thought the Casserole was a little bland. I thought it would have benefited by more cheese or cheesy-creamy-saucy goodness! The Beans were definitely the Star of the "Side Dish Show!" The other points to mention are great Iced Tea, with no slime in the ice machine! And, the Pickles are great at Linke's! I'm not sure if they are homemade or not, but they taste like they are and they really leveled-up a dining experience! Restrooms were clean, but paper towels were out in the men's restroom. The rating I've given for Linke's would be a solid 4.5 Stars if it were possible, but in complete fairness to both business and consumer, I have to rate it Four Stars today, since I do believe there is room for improvement. I also must recognize that the effort obviously being put into this small business is profoundly noteworthy and definitely deserving of being tried out!! I cannot emphasize this enough! In Wylie, Linke's BBQ is the BEST option for sure and the quality of meats cooked at Linke's are on par with the biggest names in BBQ, in the DFW area! So, definitely give Linke's a try and you will not regret it!! Eat well. Be well. Cheers! read more

This was my first time visiting Linke's BBQ, and I'm already looking forward to going back. My fiancé and I went on our anniversary, absolutely starving and wanting to try somewhere new. We drove 25+ minutes to get there, and it was so worth it. It's tucked away in the cutest downtown area and looks pretty unassuming from the outside, but the second we walked in, we were greeted so warmly it felt like visiting old friends. We ordered the brisket, ribs, and mac and cheese--thinking it would be like any other BBQ spot. The moment we sat down and took our first bite, our taste buds were in shock. You can taste the quality instantly. The meat was insanely tender, full of flavor, and just melted in my mouth. I'm a huge sauce person, so I added some BBQ sauce too, and it was perfect--light, flavorful, and didn't overpower the meat at all. And I know it sounds funny, but even the pickles, onions, and jalapeños were some of the most flavorful I've ever had! Born and raised in Texas, I've had more than my share of BBQ, and this was hands-down the best I've ever eaten. I will be raving about it forever. First off, the staff working here have to be the nicest people that I have ever met working at a restaurant. They take southern hospitality to the next level. They were so friendly and kind. We were greeted and offered multiple samples of the meat. We decided to get the brisket sandwich and German sausage. They gave us enough brisket for 3 people! It was delicious. The German sausage was tasty, too. Restaurant was clean. They had hot sauce, bbq sauce, pickles, jalapeños, and onions at their topping bar. We weren't too big on the sides( Mac n cheese and potato salad), but still overall such a great experience. I wouldn't say it was the best bbq, but it was really good and at a great price. read more

My mom searched for brisket and found Linke's BBQ! Mom and I shared the brisket and ribs! Fall off the bone ribs and tender brisket with a beautiful smoky flavor. If I lived here I would be a regular! We also had coleslaw and it was delicious along with the freshly made grandma's peach cobbler. We just moved to Wylie and were so excited to try Linke's! And it did not disappoint. We were greeted by the friendly owner and his sister was running the register. We happen to be lucky enough to walk in right when a brisket was coming off the smoker! I got a chopped brisket sandwich, and it was delicious! Such flavorful meat it almost didn't need BBQ sauce! I went there straight up noon. The brisket was very moist and tender with great bark. It could use more smoke flavor but I give it an 8/10. Turkey was ok, moist but again needs more smoke flavor 7/10. The rib complimentary and was awesome. Great flavor and tender 10/10. We stopped in on the 21st of March. I love a good BBQ so we said let's give it a shot. From the moment you step out of the car you know you have found someplace special. The smell hits you in the parking lot and your mouth starts to water. We walked in and started looking at the food choices. I knew I was getting Brisket but couldn't pass up on the sausage, and then the sample rib came out, and we had to order some of those too. The ribs literally fall off the bone the sausage was delicious, and the Brisket omg I haven't had a Brisket that good at a restaurant ever. The owner brought us out a half of range ball to try and that was also fantastic. Overall, the food was spectacular, and the owner was absolutely one of the most genuine and caring people I've meet in a while. We will defiantly be back as I have found my new favorite BBQ in north Texas. It's not very often you find a place so close to Dallas that makes you feel like you're at home.
