Stopped for lunch on a whim, glad we did! Food was delicious and everything was made to order. Their sodas are house made/organic and was good! Dessert is a must, banana pudding was great just missing the whipped cream!

Excellent BBQ!!!! And SUPERIOR service!!!! Coming from California, Texas BBQ was a must. I'm so glad my aunt lives nearby. Brisket was our favorite meat. The chicken was really good. The jalapeño cheese sausage was my second favorite. Sides are yummy. The green beans are flavored really well and mac and cheese was great. BBQ comes with a lot of expectations, and Community BBQ exceeded mine to the fullest. Carrie and RJ were hospitable hosts/servers. Thank you so much. God bless Texas.

Went for our anniversary tonight and had the most delicious steaks! Owner Andy came out and chatted with us about the science of cooking the perfect steak. So much fun and delicious! I definitely recommend for a yummy black angus or even better Akaushi steak even though they have delicious bbq.

Going into this review with the heads up that they just open this location about a week ago. I'll be trying it again in this review is open to change. I had lunch with my sister for her birthday. Again, just opened in the former Fatted Calf location. At this time, there was no restaurant decor, 100% acoustic and very loud (more so than normal) once people started coming in. I'm certain this will change and improve as they settle in. I ordered the brisket and ribs plate with barbecue beans and a side salad. My understanding is this restaurant has been established for a while and moved from Sachse to Rockwall. -The brisket was good, not great. Very little smoke ring and next to no bark. Cut very thin. -The ribs came later. They looked great. It's my understanding that "competition style ribs" are not "fall off the bone" ribs. As you can see in the photos, before, and after... There was almost no meat on those ribs, all bone. Luck of the draw perhaps? If so, I still feel like I got the short end of the stick on the ribs. -The beans were good, but I'm anticipating that these were Bush Beans. -The salad was great! The jalapeño ranch was perfect with it! -My sister let me try her green beans. I thought they were really good flavored and I think had some bacon in it. -The roll was good -The sauce tasted like sweet baby rays to me, not that there's anything wrong with SBR, but I like to see restaurants like this with their own sauce (I could be wrong). -I wanted turkey, but they didn't have any. Again, I'll be trying this place again, but will likely be getting something different.

1/4 lb. ribs, 1/4 lbs. lean brisket, coleslaw, potato salad, bbq beans, fresh cut fries.

Im a big BBQ fan, so my dad brought me to his favorite spot in Sachse. We arrived around 11:30 on a Saturday. When we walked through the doors, there were maybe 3 people inside, but closer to noon the restaurant began to fill up. Community is a fitting name because the building is huge, and they have plenty of seating & tables. They also have a program where you can donate either money, or buy an meal for someone in need in the community. For that, I was already won over. Now on to the bbq. The ribs were my favorite part. They were smoked perfectly and fell right off the bone - didn't even need bbq sauce. The lean brisket was great too! Nice even char around the edges with a tender & moist core. The sides were all good. What stood out was the fresh cut fries. You could tell they were actually cut there straight from the potato. Simple but delicious! I'll be back next time I visit my folks!

We drove by this restaurant almost daily and we have wanted to stop in and try this place. Tonight was the night. We love barbecue and were excited to try this place. Service: fantastic and attentive. They did not miss a beat Appetizers-nothing great. Queso was cold the chip got stuck in the queso and the chips were stale. Sad. Fried pickles were ok. Dinner: chicken was smoked but not seasoning. Sad. Brisket-ok. The bark looked like it was going to be great, but it was soggy and you could see the smoke line. The sausage nothing great. Sides:okra was the best everything else just ok. We may try this again..we'll see. I was disappointed because we love great barbecue

Soupy runny mac & cheese. Yuck.

Just tried this place in downtown Rockwall - it's newly opened location. It's downright disgusting. I was served soupy mac & cheese along with old rolls and stiff fatty brisket - $60 down the drain. Save your money.

Overpriced BBQ! Not the best, not the worst just ridiculously over priced! Expected much more from this place but sorely disappointed!

I had sent a DM to the pit master about our visit and placing an order to pick up. Unfortunately they didn't have brisket at the time of our visit but everything else we got was wonderfully delicious. We picked up the Texas Trinity w/Ribs, sausage & pork belly burnt ends with 2 sides. Every thing was delicious but the ribs were the star of the plate. The brisket was tender, flavorful, and had that perfect smoke ring and bark you hope for in Texas barbecue. The beans were hearty and had shredded meat in them -- they were good, just a little spicier than my usual style. The mac & cheese was awesome -- creamy, cheesy, and the perfect comfort side. The barbecue sauce was spot-on too ~ rich, tangy, and full of flavor. The outdoor setup adds to the experience ~ picnic tables under a covered area, stacks of wood, and that unmistakable BBQ aroma in the air. It's got that laid-back, small-town Texas charm where everyone's just enjoying good food and good company. The lady who took our order was so sweet and welcoming -- a true example of Southern hospitality. She made the experience even better! The line wasn't long, and we didn't have to wait too long for our food -- a big plus on a busy day. They also have banana bread pudding, which I didn't get to try this time, but it's on my list for next visit. Overall, Smoak Town BBQ is a solid spot that earns its Texas Monthly Top 50 recognition. Great food, friendly service, and an authentic Texas BBQ vibe. I only give HONEST and TRUE Reviews from the Heart. Thank you for taking the time to read it & react to it.

My only beef with the harbor is the parking. I don't feel the infrastructure here is set up for this much volume of stores and customers. Of course this isn't the restaurants' fault.
