Is this a sign??? No. It's no. Currently, they have beer and wine available. We ordered a beer and it was ice cold. For apps, we had half orders of the meteor bites and pickles. Both fantastic. Served with a yummy ranch and Chipotle ranch. Out fast and hot. Our server Cora was so pleasant and had such a strong desire to please. For dinner we both got the 205 plate. Two meats and two sides. For just over $20. It was a steal compared to most bbq joints. He got brisket and ribs. Both fantastic and I am not a rib girl. So tender. I got the pulled pork and chicken. Both good. But, I won't lie, his was better. Only complaint was wishing the food was just slightly warmer. For sides, creamy Mac n cheese (next time I am getting that topped with brisket), potatoe salad and Cole slaw. Zero complaints. Come on Rockwall. Show up and support a local business.

Boss lady and I came in after the lunch rush. Only three other tables had customers. I ordered the 205 Plate with (what was to be fatty, not. It was cold and dry) brisket and the spicy sausage, which was delicious! My sides were green beans (with bacon) and fried okra...both very tasty. Loved the bread roll. We asked for butter, and they brought out some real whipped butter...SCORE! She had their special flat iron steak, cooked medium rare (always!) with salad and and fries (which need to be done more). Her steak was so tender and cooked perfectly! Dessert was their sampler. With a double order of banana pudding, a bread pudding and a chocolate cake. The best thing was the bread pudding but it needs a warm sauce on it. The others were just Ok. Overall, a good meal and experience. We'll be back to try something different.

Super friendly welcome from the wait staff and it turned out the owner was working too. Great conversation. Started with the armadillo eggs which are deep fried Jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and served with ranch. These things are a weakness of mine and I ate the entire order. Next had a two meat platter with brisket and jalapeño cheese sausage. Sides were fried okra and broccoli. They have their fried food game down. Okra was hot and crispy and well seasoned. Delicious. The broccoli tasted like homemade steamed broccoli and was the exact texture I like. My brisket was super tender and tasty and the sausage was satisfying. I used the spicy sauce which gave everything a kick. Finished with the banana pudding with nilla wafers. Stuffed! Delicious meal and so friendly - I'll be back maybe for when they have live music on a weekend.

Here's a polished review based on your Facebook post:…read more Smoak Town BBQ is everything that makes Texas barbecue special. From the moment I arrived, I could tell this place was something different. Even on a 100-degree day, the covered seating area with cooling fans was full of locals who couldn't stop talking about the great barbecue here. Smoak Town isn't just serving incredible food; it's built on family, hard work, faith, and a genuine love for barbecue. One of the highlights of my visit was spending time talking with Rob, the pitmaster's father, and hearing the story of how Cameron turned a passion for backyard barbecue into an award-winning business after success on the competition circuit...and encouragement from dad. The food was outstanding across the board. The brisket was perfectly smoked and so tender it fell apart with a fork. The beer-basted turkey was unbelievably moist, the pork belly burnt ends were meaty and flavorful, and the jalapeño-cheese sausage had just the right amount of kick. The brisket baked beans were some of the best I've had anywhere. What really set Smoak Town apart, though, was the hospitality. After I got home, I received a personalized text thanking me for stopping by and letting me know I was welcome back anytime--as family. That simple gesture perfectly captured what Texas barbecue is all about. If you're looking for authentic Texas barbecue that's served with heart, Smoak Town BBQ absolutely deserves a spot on your must-visit list. Great food, great people, and true Texas hospitality. I'll definitely be back.

I had a chance last October while I was in Rockwall for a wedding to try it, but because the wedding was a top priority (whatever!!!), it didn't happen. Yesterday was my chance. Inside this food park was a vast sea of options, but my eyes were set on the back left where Smoak Town laid. They have a huge tent with plenty of tables to sit at under the shade and the space is wrapped in their wood, giving the joint an oak log fence around the food truck. By the time I got there a little past 1:30, they were out of sausage and mac and cheese. Sad! Other than that, my order was simple: brisket, pork ribs, pork belly burnt ends, and a side of their brew brisket beans. The brisket was a thick slice that was moist and flavorful. I love those chunky slabs of brisket. There is just something about a thicker cut that knocks skinnier cuts out of the park. The pork ribs were juicy and tender. I rarely get pork belly burnt ends over a sausage, but they are always a treat like they were here. Just a little taste of heaven. The beans were savory, hearty, and well seasoned. I was pretty impressed by them as well. The team working was super conversational and friendly. The guy in front of me was having his first taste of Texas barbecue, and they were being super helpful making sure he got a true, flavorful experience. This spot feels hidden but is worth the trip. There were quite a few people hanging around enjoying the excellent barbecue. Worth the pit stop and worth the drive if you live anywhere in the DFW metro. It was simply fate (GET IT???) to try Smoak Town. RIYL: The quieter barbecue spots that pack the same punch
