Monday, 2-02-2026: My son, who works in La Jolla asked me to pick up a dozen donuts for work. So I used the app Too Good to Go to order the donuts at an amazing discount. I reserved a dozen donuts at only $7.97. A normal dozen costs more than $20! On the app, you reserve & prepay. The window for pick up time was between 7:00 pm-8:00 pm. When I arrived I didn't see anybody at the counter but I did pass by a huge window that showcased an impressive "assembly" line for donuts, where I glimpsed some workers in the back. It smelled so good in there and I noticed it was nice & clean but it is a rather stark interior. When I came to the counter, an employee eyed me but was on the phone. I realized they were also manning a busy drive-thru window. The young lady came over welcomed me & I showed her the app & she knew immediately what to do. She went in the back to hand me a pre-loaded box of donuts. I also got a glazed donut plus a chocolate one for hubby. A huge thank you to Tina H. of San Bernardino for sharing this app! This is hands down the worst Krispy Kreme location I've ever been to. My family absolutely loves their donuts, which is the only reason I keep coming back but every visit is a headache. The drive-thru is unbelievably slow, and half the time they seem to forget anyone is even waiting there. And don't trust that "Hot & Fresh" sign, it's completely misleading. Every time the sign is on, I end up with cold donuts. What's the point of advertising hot and fresh if you're handing out donuts that are anything but? Just today, I sat in the drive-thru for over 20 minutes while I could literally see them making fresh donuts inside. After all that waiting, I was handed a dozen cold donuts. It's frustrating and disappointing, especially from a brand known for great quality. Very spacious location! Newly built so this location is really nice. Everything is clean and they also have kiosks by the door to make ordering easier. The donuts are really tasty and the process was super smooth. The interior is quite big and there are a good amount of seats. Only downside is that the parking is small and not spacious at all. It also kind of clashes with the drive-thru line so it'd be kind of hard to get in if there was a long line. Had to get some biscoff limited edition. So good! The cookie on top of 2 of the 3 were amazing! You have to go get some! The one with the biscoff icing on top has the same icing inside the donut. I can see it now: from the outside, it would look just like a DMV or a public library or something, but when you knock on the door (it would have to be a special knock, like "shave and a haircut, two bits" or something like that, then the proprietor would slide open one of those little door things and like kind of scan the parking lot to make sure that you're not with some agency or something, and then you could hear the chain coming off of the door lock, and the door opens, and BAM, the parking lot explodes in music, not jazz though, like something with a more modern twist, maybe like Lou Bega's "Mambo #5" or Amy Winehouse or Macy Gray or something. And then you just line up and watch all of the donuts move down the little conveyor belt and into the liquid sugar they got that soaks all of the donuts. But I must say it was very difficult for me to keep the little one whom I purchased the Malibu Party Doughnut for destracted overnight after she saw me come in with the box of doughnuts . My mom came through the drive thru for some fresh coffee. It was around 5:30pm on 9/19/25. My mom was waiting for an excessive amount of time for her 1 cup of coffee. The coffee was really cold when she got it, so my mom obviously went down to have them fix it for her. As soon as she walked in the two girls that were working that day around that time was veryy rude with no professionalism. My mom was very kind and sweet about the complaint. One of the girls gave my mom the dirtiest look ever and told her, "so what." Throughout the time the girls were laughing and talking very poorly about my mom. This is not acceptable by any means.
