Where do I start? this review is a year late. When I heard about a place creating their version of an au cheval burger , I knew I had to try it. That was about a year or two ago (don't remember exactly) and it's EASILY top 3 burgers in Houston. I Have it once a week without fail. Service is impeccable, food is always fresh. I was going to add a picture to this review but it's already gone... maybe next time. See you guys next week ! read more

Went back here in 2021 with my mom at its Town and Country location, and WOW, the best burger in Houston! Please go here.... Even in its new location.... read more

Just really well done food with excellent service. Club sandwich and crab eggs Benedict for brunch were both quite tasty. Very well priced wine with a decent selection also. read more

The wait staff asked if we had reservations, the place was empty. I guess it's bc I was dressed casual. This was the first time trying the place. I felt that the prices were a bit higher than the quantity and quality of the food. I can get a better pork chop for less expensive price at a chain steakhouse. And they did not offer options with the chop. Extra for a salad, so no green vegetables with the potatoes that were served with the chop. There were many staff willing to take our order, but always someone different to serve tea, or take our payment. read more

BYOB is awesome! Appetizer: spinach artichoke dip-amazing dinner: burger with breaded cauliflower and Brussels sprouts-one of the BEST I've ever had Dessert: apple pie skillet thing- good but needed ice cream. Overall super yummy food and will be back!:) read more

My wife and I along with our little girl decided to try KP's Kitchen tonight for the first time. We live in SV and had seen the restaurant but had never stopped. I must say I was very impressed. The food was delicious and the service was great. Although not extremely large it has a very quaint feel to it. Plenty of staff that goes out of their way to ensure you are served expeditiously and are satisfied. I think we have found a new favorite neighborhood restaurant. Will definitely be putting KP's in our dining out rotation. read more

Atmosphere & service were excellent. Quality of everyone's food at our table was SUPERB. All around fantastic, everyone was impressed and pleased! read more

Awesome Brussels Sprouts! Great casual atmosphere. Good for families. Great place for a great meal!

Picked up curbside this evening. It was our first time trying this place - it was very good. In fact, it was excellent. Fresh, flavorful, nice textures -- and reasonably priced. It was clean and a nice atmosphere inside and there was a nice side patio and some sidewalk seating out front that looked very nice as well. If you are on the fence or looking for a great new option, my advice is to give it a try - I'm sure it will please your palate! read more

What a great dining experience. The food was exemplary and the service couldn't have been better. The entire wait staff was very attentive including the owner himself going around to each table to make sure everything was ok. Brussels sprouts outstanding, Asian crunchy salad was quite tasty and the desserts out of this world.. chocolate chip cookie in the skillet as well as apple crumble.. thanks to all for a job well done read more

We love KPs! They often do kids eat free and do meal specials that are a really good value. You see the owner there all the time and we often see the same servers - which is a good sign if they are retaining their staff. The food is excellent, portions are just the right size and the pricing is fair. Never had a bad meal here. read more

Likes-cauliflower, ribs, Brussels & BYOB Dis- rib eye for two. Tough Too warm inside. Weird restaurants are usually cold At 9:30 they turn the lights up...time to go. Little odd for a weekend. Service good. 3% on to go orders. Caesar Salad says traditional but it is not. No anchovies and no egg in dressing. Hmmm. It was good but not traditional. read more

It is our neighborhood place to g. Food is simple but deli and the service is good. Price-wise good value for money.

Place is cute and the staff is super friendly. We ordered the burger, chicken sandwich (and the appetizer chicken tenders), cauliflower, veggie panini, club sandwich, and a cobb salad. All was very delicious. I will definitely be back so I can try the fish, 12 hour smoked ribs, and steak. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the panini and club sandwich, but they were really good as well. read more

What an absolute pleasure it was to enjoy catching up and dining with my friend at KP's. The restaurant is located in the space where Smashburger used to be and while they kept the footprint, everything about it is different, uplifted, bright and cheery. The proprietor, KP, walked around introducing himself, telling more about the restaurant, kids days, local Tuesdays, the local charities they support and welcoming guests. This is certainly a local non big box chain with owners living in the neighborhood that we should all rally around and support! The service was fantastic and the food was tasty. We ordered the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and the crab cake salad & the cheeseburger/fries. A carafe of water was provided and kept refilled without asking. We enjoyed our meal without any complaints whatsoever. While I did not venture to the back or the restroom, the dining room was open and bright; very inviting. If you are hard of hearing, because of the acoustics, it can be loud but then perhaps you can grab one of the lovely tables outside. After our meal, we did not order dessert but did sit and visit uninterrupted which was very pleasant. We were quite pleased with our experience and vowed to return! read more

Awesome food! Suburb service! Great music and overall vibe!! So glad to have this place in our neighborhood 10/10!

Delightful atmosphere, delicious food, and a warm greeting from the owner. What else could you want?

food was amazing, very simple but delicious, we ordered the rigatoni, rosemary chicken, and steak frites. the service was also amazing, got in with no reservation thanks to the hostess (not sure of her name but she had black hair) who literally went through war and back to find us a table and we ended up in a shared table! the place is small and it looked pretty booked (there was a somewhat 20 person party eating already) so we really appreciate her going the extra mile and chasing us out the restaurant to let us know she had moved things around for a table. I wish there was more to the menu though, very simple and I had seen it before but I understand the depths that go into the restaurant business ( i watched the bear ) but overall pretty good! read more

KP's Kitchen is a neighborhood gem for Spring Branch. Consistently good food - whether eat in or take out, friendly staff, and a good wine list. They also offer corkage. read more

Ate there twice in 24 hours I thought it was that good. First dinner with seating service and the snapper was excellent. Real neighborhood feel and staff very attentive. The owner is there making sure things run like clockwork. The second meal was Sunday brunch. The chicken and biscuit was very good and the local bagel was one of the best we have eaten. The owner told us the bagels are hand picked for delivery to the restaurant. Definitely on the list for either after church or after work, pickup or delivery. We like to support local especially when it is this good. read more

Food has in need of improvement. Owner very nice. More variety need. Food lacks excellence.

Lunch on the outdoor patio - both scenery and food were fantastic! Service complimented everything about this place - definitely a place to dine in when in City Centre. Had the chefs make me a hybrid hot chicken salad and it was the perfect combo read more

Love this Place! The food is excellent and the service is even better. I highly recommend KP's Kitchen.

Hands down, best food and best service. So glad they opened this awesome restaurant nearby our home. We will def come here more often.

Great locally-owned restaurant serving everything from appetizers and salads to steak and burgers. We love this restaurant as the menu is limited but has unique items that are delicious. Today we split the fried oyster salad which had everything from cheese and quinoa to squash and greens. Very different and very tasty. Atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We highly recommend it. read more

This is a really nice place (love the booth seating and patio option) and the food and service was wonderful! We enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip, not too heavy and great homemade chips. For my entree, I had the ancient grain salad with grilled shrimp which was delicious. The brussel sprouts were perfectly seasoned and crispy. For dessert we had the warm Double chocolate chip cookie, which was a perfect end to our meal! Oh and we loved the music (always love a place that plays 80s)! We will be back soon! read more
