Daily Gather was a lovely experience, as we went for the first time. Upon arriving, we were informed that reservations had taken up the tables inside, however there was seating on the patio. Once we made it to the patio we started to check out the menu and decide on what we were eating. We went with the items listed below: -Chicken & Waffle -Pineapple Mimosa Carafe I went à la cart: -Open Range Egg -Breakfast Potatoes -Buttermilk Biscuit -Smoked Gouda Grits -Chicken Tenders Loved that the carafe came with bubbles only with juice on the side. Solid. The food was delicious! If you know anything about me, I love a sandwich I make sandwiches at every meal of I can. So that biscuit was it perfect for a sammich! The chicken was it! The only thing I was not a fan of were the breakfast potatoes - terrible. 0/10. Overall, this is definitely a place I'd return to! Service was great. They have happy hour. This current visit was much better than last. I thought I previous reviewed my first summer visit. This will be a two visit part. I came for Brunch both times. Visit 1. (May) The 3 egg breakfast. It was horrible. The potatoes were non-edible, see the photo. It tasted as if they were way overcooked. As if they been cooking since yesterday. I reported and even on the correction which took forever and day to even come to share the news, and just as long to return with cold unpleasant food. Which was delivered entirely way too late. My table guest has been completed with his meal; prior to our server even confirming the status of the meal. A solution seem to be a new challenge unlock, I had to express the level of service and the status of the meal that was provided was not worth the price. I paid and a gift card was issued. (My table guest enjoyed their meal. This rating was my experience, not theirs) This visit was worth no more than 1.5 stars. Food Less than 1 Star. Visit 2. (Sept) RANCH STYLE EGGS (crispy corn tostadas, house smoked brisket, two sunny side-up open-range eggs, black beans, warm tomatillo salsa, pico de gallo, cotija, cilantro, & green onion.) This was nearly perfection. Something that I wouldn't normally order, but was glad my server suggested it. The smoke brisket was lean like I like it. I would reorder this dish again. I felt a bit adventurous and enjoyed it how it came without any specifications. This was a solid 4 star visit. I was looking for the "ice breaker question cards" they had on the table when they newly came about (years ago). Where to begin... The aesthetics are fresh and modern. Our server was nice, but could have been more attentive. The manager was there but not present. We sent back our octopus because it tasted rotten and the texture was mushy. It felt like it had been frozen, thawed and tried to recook. Our server notified the manager of the experience and he never came by. The restaurant wasn't busy. Our two other apps were decent (deviled eggs and shishito peppers), but nothing to rave about. Our meal never came. We watched people come in after us, get their appetizers and meals while we sat with nothing. Our waitress went missing, the manager had his head in his phone the entire time so we could not get his attention. Eventually a waiter that was not ours walked to the manager and flagged that we were sitting here with nothing and asked him what we were waiting on. Obviously the manager did not know because he had been in his phone the whole time. The waiter (not ours) then came by and asked if we were waiting on something and we said our food. It wasn't until he went and told them that our waitress apologized for how long it was taking. She went back to the kitchen and came back empty handed and then the manager went back and found it. By then, I had already had to extend our paid parking, we were turned off and did not want the meal. To their benefit, they did offer to comp everything, but we paid just for the appetizers we did eat. Sadly, we will not be back, but kudos to the waiter that even noticed something was off. And the manager never once came by to address the issues, apologize for any of the missteps or ensure that after the bad appetizer experience, the rest of the experience was worth coming back for. read more

I got to enjoy Daily Gather for the first time on my birthday and had such a great time. The vibe here is so classy and the food did not disappoint. Not to mention the service from everyone - the hostess, our waiter Niko, and the manager Vince - was so welcoming and kind. This has been on my list for awhile - been trying to get everyone together so we could order the giant brunch board. That's still pending...so several of us stopped by today for brunch. And it did not disappoint. The Bloody Mary's were perfect, snd we started with the watermelon salad and avocado citrus mix appetizers - very refreshing. We had a mix of breakfast and lunch items - all delicious. Waitstaff was very attentive and personable. Because of our lovely humid weather, we sat inside, but patio would be nice also - it's covered and they have fans. Free garage parking is just around the corner from the restaurant, and I would recommend reservations on weekends/holidays. We came back for a third time to give this place another try, and it did not disappoint. I was able to make a reservation easily over the phone, and the attendant was very friendly. We brought our friends here to celebrate their anniversary, and our waitress was attentive, kind, and made the experience even better. The food was great as always, and everything from our drinks to our order came out correctly. This time we were seated inside, and the restaurant was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly not too crowded for a Friday evening. Next time we will sit inside because the Texas heat was brutal sitting on the patio. The service was good the server went over the menu and gave us great recommendations. This place has been on my list, and when a friend wanted to try it, I was ready to jump on the chance. We came for brunch on a Sunday. We had a resy but place wasn't too crazy, we didn't really need it and were seated without it.. Parking- the large covered garage is a short distance away. Or you can see if you can get lucky and find the few street parking spots in front of some of the businesses. Service- was sweet with Madison. She gave service with a smile despite being busy. She gave us insight about the menu. We enjoyed sitting outside on the covered patio with a cool breeze. I belive a manager was circling outside to assist and check on guests which was good to see. She stopped by our table but didn't introduce herself. Food- I ordered the BLT with avocado and for my side I subbed for a cesar gem salad with anchovy for a $2 upcharge. The place was very pretty and looked perfect for a weekend brunch. Check on parking prior, one garage is free on the weekend even though it says pay to park. Unfortunately our drinks came after our meals were served. My smoked salmon Benedict was pretty good. Pineapple mimosa was decent. The cinnamon roll was almost too bready, very heavy tasting. I think it would have been better in the oven for a few more minutes. My cappuccino was really really bad but I wasn't charged for it so I can't complain. The service was ok, but they took their time, and it wasn't really organized. The drinks thing really threw me off. Deviled eggs (3/5) - the filling was tasty but the egg white was hard and slightly rubbery (overcooked) Citrus avocado (3/5) - it was ok, the burrata was fresh and the combination of ingredients was different (the avocado was not fully ripe) Garden omelette (4/5) - the omelette was delicious, well made and not overstuffed; the side of potatoes were a bit tough and just didn't fit in with the look of the omelette Biscuits and gravy (2.9/ 5) - the biscuits were very dense and somewhat tough to enjoy; they looked like they'd be flaky but were not; came with those same potatoes I am not against trying them again, I think it just wasn't our day. There were a few other things that we want to try. Our server was Madison and she was amazing. Friendly, helpful and made the experience even better. They picked up in business and she never stopped smiling and always checked on us. Great customer service. We chose this place partly because of the name but also because it offered an outdoor patio, was located where we would have plenty of parking, and they had brunch. The patio seating was wonderful! Food was great, service was just as good and the ambiance was perfect for conversation. Nothing has changed since the last time I went for brunch. Didnt leave a review last time but sure did this time. Service was fine, nothing spectacular. Food however, not that great for the price. Charcuterie board came with 4 tiny pieces of toast for a whole board. Extra 4 pieces of toast was $3, laughable. Friends ordered the skirt steaks medium rare, it came out chewy. My girlfriend ordered the brisket dip sandwich with mushrooms ON THE SIDE. So why did the server charge us 75 cents for putting mushrooms on the side? Outrageous if you ask me for requesting something that came WITH the food to be placed on the side. My burger was mid, nothing to rave about. Will be the last time coming here. read more

Wuth four of us and various wants, we opted for the breakfast charcuterie board and it had all we needed! For $90 feeding 4 people, it was perfect! Filled with meats (bacon, sausages, chicken), eggs, waffles, biscuits and cinnamon roll, fruit, and potatoes - it was hearty and delicious! For cocktails, I selected frozen guava margarita. Shout out to our Server, Jose, who made our time there exciting, fun and worth a return visit. He also saw to it that my friend who was unable to get his coffee beverage (due to the restaurant running out of an ingredient needed to make the special drink) was taken care of. I'm updating my review because I was contacted by the manager after my last review (which I appreciated) and decided to give them another try. I was not disappointed. To start, it was a beautiful Saturday so we sat outside. The waiter was prompt and very friendly. The food came out pretty quickly and we enjoyed everything. They gave us complimentary mimosas while we waited, so it was water under the bridge. This place is clean & spacious. The great part was we ordered one thing for the entire party to nibble on "Ultimate Brunch Board " feeds 4-6 ppl. We also tried the smoked Gouda Mac. Decided to meet an old coworker friend in City Centre to catch up. We ate outside, prime real estate for people watching as you dine. Armon was our waiter and frankly he wasn't on it. I don't know if he had a little chip on his shoulder that day or if it's normal behavior. Barring that, we were also disappointed in the food. I hate when I look at a menu and nothing sticks out. I ended up ordering the steak salad, it's not winning any awards but it was filling. My companion ordered a shrimp noodle dish and she felt her shrimp were well overcooked and rubbery. The citrus creme brûlée caught both of our eyes so we shared it. Could have been the highlight of the meal as it had a really good taste. Only issue was the caramelized top was soft and didn't have the signature hardened texture we all love. I'm not likely to return primarily because I no longer live in Houston and I'm not expending prime real estate in my tummy for somewhere I've been before and had an ok experience when I'm only there a few days. read more

They have lunch specials (appetizer and entree) at $25, although quite a few of the entree on the lunch special menu had up charge. I ordered the Elote Cornbread starter, and a Steak & Blue Cheese Salad. The Elote Cornbread was interesting... soft finger shaped cornbread cakes topped with crumbles cotija. It had a nice texture, and the expected lime tanginess, but totally lacked any of the chili spice of a typical Elote. The Steak & Blue Cheese Salad (which has a hefty +$6 upcharge on the special lunch menu) was unremarkable. The started skirt steak was just chopped up bits of skirt steak -- for the price, I was expecting nice juicy slices of skirt steak. My brother had the Harvest Chicken with Pulled Chicken which he said was just ok as well. My Mom ordered the Steak & Egg Bowl which she requested with light salt, and it came out too salty. However, the server did graciously have it remade with no salt and garlic herb au jus on the side. I tried some of the remade bowl. The beef tenderloin cubes were tender and juicy. Service was friendly, but just had higher expectations for the food at these prices and an average Yelp 4+. read more

Brittany was amazing. We didn't want or need for anything. She was literally on top of it. And she smiled the entire time. She was so amazing. I'm going to always ask for Brittany. The food was really good. I usually NEVER finish my food, but I did today. I'm not much of a breakfast person, but, I just couldn't resist. Please try it. And make sure you ask for Brittany. Lastly, this place, it's an amazing place to have brunch, or even a date. It's so pretty inside. I can't explain it, but, I love the look and feel of it. They also have an outside patio. I threw a surprise birthday dinner for our daughter here, and on paper it had all the makings of a great night. The food? Solid--comforting, flavorful, the kind of dishes that make you nod mid-bite. The servers were kind and genuinely trying, though a few bumps in the road reminded us this wasn't exactly a well-oiled machine. Then nature decided to crash the party. Rain, wind, that sneaky chill that finds the gaps in your jacket--classic coastal mood swings. The patio, where we'd planned to settle in, had no heaters, so our guests slowly transformed into a cold, shivering crowd plotting their escape. Inside was packed, so there wasn't much of a backup plan. A little disappointing, sure. You'll always win me over with customer service. Any who.... Everything was a 10/10! Cornbread - they serve it in strips which make it even easier to share. Coconut tuna aguachille - light and refreshing. It looks like the will have a creamy flavor but it doesn't. It has a lemon limeish taste and is delicious. Kids burger - WIN! Short rib risotto - the short rib is very tender and flavorful, but when you pair it with the mushroom risotto Roasted chicken is marinated really well. It's definitely a good option if you want chicken. Brownie for dessert. I would probably give it a 3.7/5. Still good but I've had better. Drinks the frozen was pretty boozy. The service was also pretty awesome, I accidentally spilled sauce on my shirt and the manager brought warm water with a piece of cloth, super thoughtful! I sat at the bar for a meal after a nice hike and I'm so glad I did! That daily orange drink gave me life, it nourished me. The food was absolutely delicious. The eastern oysters tasted as if they were gathered that morning and served fresh, would go back just for those. The bar staff was super friendly and had great rapport with each other, which was nice to be around. The place was buzzing with Saturday brunch but the noise level was pretty chill, they also played the games at the bar area.
