We hosted a birthday party for my mom at Lynn's Steakhouse and we were so pleased. Gerry was very accommodating and so nice to work with. The food was excellent, the staff were great, and it was an enjoyable time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The wine cellar, although necessarily cold, was a very nice setting for an event.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend Lynn's Steakhouse for a private function!

Went to Lynn's for the first time and was absolutely blown away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food, service and atmosphere were all 10/10![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were there to celebrate a birthday and can absolutely say I will be back again soon. This is a Houston must don't miss out.

A coworker and I came on a Wednesday during lunch. We came right when they opened so we were the first customers of the day. Upon entering the restaurant, you go up about 3 steps to the dining room. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The wall is half carpet and the decor has an old, charming style.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was extremely attentive. We came for HRW 2024. While looking at the main menu, I was disappointed to find that they offer a "Deluxe Lunch Special" which is almost verbatim the HRW menu. Oh well, at least for the HRW menu they donate $3 to a good cause. I ended up doing HRW and got a house salad, beef duo medallions and the carrot cake. The house salad was standard, with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and a few mushrooms, topped with a super creamy and heavy dressing. My beef entree had two sauces - a peppercorn and a bearnaise. The peppercorn had whole peppercorns, which was a little bit off putting for me even though I do enjoy peppercorn. The bearnaise was creamy and heavy. I preferred the bearnaise. The actual steak was cooked to medium and it was really delicious. The dish came with 3 small pieces of broccoli and three small pieces of potato - both needed a lot more seasoning. The carrot cake was moist in the center but dry towards the outer edge. It was super sweet for me. Overall, the steak itself was good but i wasn't impressed by the rest. Besides the great service!

Lynn's Steakhouse is has a green awning which can't be missed. The restaurant is situated in a small parking lot. Inside has limited seating so reservation is recommended. The restaurant has a dated decor but it is neat. Lynn's Steakhouse has a pretty good HRW menu which I went for. The house salad's dressing was creamy and good. The vegetables were fresh. For my entree, I had the duo beef medallions which the chef nailed the temperature of the beef. The sauces were delicious. The portion was good. The carrot cake was the perfect dessert to end the meal. It wasn't dense and wasn't too sweet. I love Lynn's Steakhouse food and would go back to try their regular menu.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside is very unassuming to the point of being a little dated. However, the inside is quite elegant, the ambience is dark, sophisticated, and characterized by subdued lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For appetizers my wife and I ordered crab cakes. My crab cake appetizer was good. But, my wife's crab cake was cold. For the main course I ordered the Chilean sea bass with shrimp, and lyonnaise potatoes. And my wife ordered the Chateaubriand center cut. Her dish was cooked a perfect medium rare, and the flavor was very good (although she didn't like the peppercorn sauce). The dessert was a dark chocolate cake which looked and tasted delicious. The cake wasn't too dry or moist and it was just the right amount of sweet. I also had a cappuccino. The cappuccino was good, but I would prefer it to be a little more dry next time. The service was okay. Overall I think Lynn's is pretty good place to eat.

Fenomenal chateaubriand and escargot, the wine list was awesome and service great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has the charming ambiance of a 45 years of success in business which makes it cozy and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This hidden gem needs to be a destination

We ordered a few items to share and enjoyed a few glasses of wine while catching up. Our waiter recommended the Albert Bicho Pinot Noir and it was really good. The calamari was a bit over fried but we loved the remoulade sauce it was served with. I enjoyed the crab cake there was plenty of crab meat. As the night went on the place began to fill and the ladies who came in for the live performance liven up the warm space and really set the vibes as did a version of Sade. The food is always great so no complaints there but my brave review is definitely the service. There were laughs, and background information on the restaurant, some of the chefs, and servers and it was also very interesting. We tried so many menu items. We had like three or four boards and several brunch items. Of course, I got the cucumber honey lemonade and I made my friend try it too. Lol. Delicious as always. 10 out of 10. However, I will say that the new battle of the board is not Great like I remember. They had super basic flavors and the ones they did experiment with different combinations were actually pretty disgusting. The grilled summer squash was cooked well, and I could tell based on texture and crunch. The mojo verde sauce vizcaina had some smokiness to it, but it was sweet. Favorite thing about this dish was the flavorful crust of the fish that shined through. The presentation was good with the microgreens, coriander, and onions adding color. Overall, thought this dish was good, but it didn't wow me. Dessert was AMAZING!! The dessert was a chocolate entremet (flourless biscuit, raspberry, guayaquil mousse). The guayaquil mousse uses Cacao Barry Extra-Bitter Guayaquil 64% couvetere dark chocolate. The raspberry sorbet had a tartness to it and the presentation was enhanced by the crushed up chocolate under it. It was balanced with the mousse that was sweet but not overly sweet because of the cacao. The flourless biscuit was moist, reminding of a delicious chocolate cake. Two coffee molds were placed delicately leaning on the side and on top of the dessert. There were dried raspberry pieces on the dessert as well, adding hints of tartness if you taste it by itself but subtly hidden if you taste the dessert together. Excellent dessert, my regards to the pastry chef Daniela. Best part of the menu and this is what carried the 5-star review. Parking: Complimentary Valet

They managed to keep the same relaxed neighborhood vibe people love while giving it a much more modern, polished, and upscale feel. The updated design, lighting, TVs and overall atmosphere look incredible and make the space feel fresh without losing its personality. They still have the spinning drink wheel! The outdoor seating especially feels elevated now and makes for the perfect Houston brunch spot or night out. One of the best parts about NextDoor is that it's connected to Hungry's, which means you get full access to their menu while enjoying the lounge atmosphere. Being able to order everything from cocktails and appetizers to full meals while at a bar is a game changer. The food is consistently good, the drinks are strong (especially the frozen options) well-made, and everything comes out quickly. What keeps me coming back year after year is the consistency. The staff has always been welcoming and attentive, the crowd is chill, and it never feels overly pretentious or chaotic. It's one of those rare spots that works for everything, whether it's happy hour after work, date night, catching up with friends over drinks on the patio or a solo adventure. Love seeing a longtime Houston favorite continue to evolve while still delivering the same great experience that's kept me coming back for years. Definitely one of my go-to spots on Memorial Drive. My only suggestion is to tell the younger staff members to be conscious of their conversations while guest are dining nearby. I love people watching but I heard a lot of things. It appears Hungry's uses the bar area like a break/training room or to do other tasks like rolling utensils in napkins.
