We hosted a birthday party for my mom at Lynn's Steakhouse and we were so pleased. Gerry was very accommodating and so nice to work with. The food was excellent, the staff were great, and it was an enjoyable time. The wine cellar, although necessarily cold, was a very nice setting for an event. Highly recommend Lynn's Steakhouse for a private function!

A coworker and I came on a Wednesday during lunch. We came right when they opened so we were the first customers of the day. Upon entering the restaurant, you go up about 3 steps to the dining room. The wall is half carpet and the decor has an old, charming style. The service was extremely attentive. We came for HRW 2024. While looking at the main menu, I was disappointed to find that they offer a "Deluxe Lunch Special" which is almost verbatim the HRW menu. Oh well, at least for the HRW menu they donate $3 to a good cause. I ended up doing HRW and got a house salad, beef duo medallions and the carrot cake. The house salad was standard, with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and a few mushrooms, topped with a super creamy and heavy dressing. My beef entree had two sauces - a peppercorn and a bearnaise. The peppercorn had whole peppercorns, which was a little bit off putting for me even though I do enjoy peppercorn. The bearnaise was creamy and heavy. I preferred the bearnaise. The actual steak was cooked to medium and it was really delicious. The dish came with 3 small pieces of broccoli and three small pieces of potato - both needed a lot more seasoning. The carrot cake was moist in the center but dry towards the outer edge. It was super sweet for me. Overall, the steak itself was good but i wasn't impressed by the rest. Besides the great service!

Went to Lynn's for the first time and was absolutely blown away. The food, service and atmosphere were all 10/10! We were there to celebrate a birthday and can absolutely say I will be back again soon. This is a Houston must don't miss out.

Lynn's Steakhouse is has a green awning which can't be missed. The restaurant is situated in a small parking lot. Inside has limited seating so reservation is recommended. The restaurant has a dated decor but it is neat. Lynn's Steakhouse has a pretty good HRW menu which I went for. The house salad's dressing was creamy and good. The vegetables were fresh. For my entree, I had the duo beef medallions which the chef nailed the temperature of the beef. The sauces were delicious. The portion was good. The carrot cake was the perfect dessert to end the meal. It wasn't dense and wasn't too sweet. I love Lynn's Steakhouse food and would go back to try their regular menu.

The outside is very unassuming to the point of being a little dated. However, the inside is quite elegant, the ambience is dark, sophisticated, and characterized by subdued lighting. For appetizers my wife and I ordered crab cakes. My crab cake appetizer was good. But, my wife's crab cake was cold. For the main course I ordered the Chilean sea bass with shrimp, and lyonnaise potatoes. And my wife ordered the Chateaubriand center cut. Her dish was cooked a perfect medium rare, and the flavor was very good (although she didn't like the peppercorn sauce). The dessert was a dark chocolate cake which looked and tasted delicious. The cake wasn't too dry or moist and it was just the right amount of sweet. I also had a cappuccino. The cappuccino was good, but I would prefer it to be a little more dry next time. The service was okay. Overall I think Lynn's is pretty good place to eat.

Fenomenal chateaubriand and escargot, the wine list was awesome and service great. It has the charming ambiance of a 45 years of success in business which makes it cozy and welcoming. This hidden gem needs to be a destination

Bar Bludorn, unfortunately, is not there yet... and that contrast is impossible to ignore. Let's start with the good: the food is delicious. An honest 8/10. You can absolutely get a fantastic filet mignon here, arguably one of the best in the city. The kitchen knows what it's doing, no question. Now the problem: the service. For a restaurant charging Bludorn-level prices, the hospitality was shockingly absent. Our server seemed completely disengaged, as if we were an inconvenience rather than guests. There was no warmth, no attention, no sense that anyone cared whether we were enjoying ourselves, or even planned to come back. It felt transactional at best, indifferent at worst. Bar Bludorn positions itself as a polished, elevated dining experience, but the service told a very different story. When the hospitality misses this hard, it overshadows even good food. And in Houston, where you can get incredible steaks, thoughtful service, and better value all over the city, there's simply no reason to settle. Bludorn remains exceptional. Bar Bludorn, at least for now, feels like a concept still finding its footing while charging full price for the destination it wants to be. Until the service catches up to the ambition, we won't be returning.

We stumbled upon this spot & although the food isn't the best, the service makes up for it. Once we entered, the server greeted us right away. I'm not sure what her name was, but she was a sweetheart. Making sure our drinks were filled and we never ran out of complimentary garlic breads. The clientele seems to be on the older side and it looks like they've been regulars for a long time. We were the youngest people there and mind you we ain't spring chickens ourselves. But I'm happy to see George's has a lot of loyal customers. While the portions are huge and more than enough to take home, the prices are a bit steep for my liking & it doesn't match the quality either. The food is decent but not worth 25-30 dollars with those dishes. My date ordered the chicken Parmesan with pasta and I got my basic spaghetti with extra meat sauce. Both dishes were generous especially mine. They were not playing around on my dish. It was so much meat sauce that you couldn't even see any pasta. I thought his chicken Parmesan and my spaghetti was very strong in the tomato sauce department maybe a little too much. I like mine to have other seasonings to balance the acidity from the tomato sauce. Overall it was not a bad meal, it was so much food I had enough for lunch the next morning. The free garlic bread came out hot and fresh, fluffy on the inside and flaky on the outside. The service is warm and welcoming & even the owner came by to check in on us. Will I come back? Yes.

My wife and I shared a Greek Salad (I gladly gave her my anchovies) and spaghetti with turkey meatballs. Toss some grilled shrimp on that salad and I'd have been more than satisfied. But I've always wondered why Italian restaurants serve Greek salads. Do Greek restaurants serve antipasti? But I digress. The pasta was el dente and well drained. The turkey meatballs were large and flavorful. The marinara, to me, is a bit bland. I prefer more zing. Nothing some red pepper flakes couldn't fix. Some folks can't take the heat, so it makes sense for George's to play it safe. I also appreciated George's not applying fees to "plot" dishes. And if you like great garlic bread, George's is calling your name.
