Meatloaf!!! Dont sleep on the meatloaf

We had a work event here in the private room and it was amazing! Dana was so easy to work with and made sure everything was perfect and that everyone was taken care of. Taylor, Veronica, and Art were our servers for the evening and they were very pleasant and attentive. This is the 3rd time I have been here and I would definitely recommend to anyone for casual or celebration or private event. The food is delicious and they have a great variety to select from. It is reasonably priced (especially for an event like ours!). They also have a GREAT happy hour. Thank you Dana & team for a lovely evening! Will definitely be back

Nice space and roomie booths. Waiter recommended to change the fish tacos fish to cod and it's was a great suggestion. When plating leftovers, he even stated he would put on gloves to put it in to go containers for us. That was awesome!

Located off of Memorial in a shopping plaza, Union Kitchen's menu is pretty close to a traditional American diner with some add-on options. Came by for lunch and service was solid; quick and on point. Got the bang bang chicken and crab cakes for apps. The crab cakes weren't honestly very good and I couldn't find any crab in the middle of the breading. The shrimp came on a bed of slaw/salad and was actually better than it looked. I had hoped the shrimp would've been battered slightly better and had a stronger sauce. I got the blackened redfish orleans for my main. It was a bit busy and not very Cajun at all. The sausage slices were a bit bland and I did not enjoy the brown sauce very much; the dish looked much more flavorful/complex than it is. Overall the flavor was a bit below expectations but it's my first time trying out the menu and definitely could've ordered sub-optimally and missed out on their heavy hitters.

The brunch selection i observed looked amazing although I had hammer on my mind. I got the Hamburger Bowl. Burger was cooked to perfection and topped with cheese & onion strings which all sat atop a bowl of lettuce & fries. I felt the fries, which were covered in cheese, were a little soggy. If I order again, I will definitely omit the French fries and lean in on more salad greens. The staff was courteous with two managers stopping by to check in on needs and opinions. The ambiance was mixed- beautiful back room for private parties, beautiful bar, beautiful & unique lighting but, the pictures on the wall were childish versions of wine bottles- would recommend Union reach out to an art college & have one of the talented kids help them out. Why four, well 3.5 isn't an option and 3 is too low for the promise it showed. there were SO many amazing dishes - the fish and chips looked amazing. I will be back. And the flavor was there, the meat very fresh & cooked to perfection- I'd just skip the fries next time.

    Sarah's Chicken Avocado

The Sarah's Chicken Avocado burger has black avocados and there is too much mayo that is sloppy applied. There is no care for presentation and the ingredients are not fresh, the quality is lacking.

I have been going to this restaurant fora little over the last year and always highly recommend it. I have celebrated my birthday here 3 times. I went this past May for my birthday for a late lunch with my boss and coworker and although the food was on point, like always, the server was not very friendly and did not come to check on our table often at all despite the restaurant being almost empty. It felt as though we were being rushed out. But I chalked it up to maybe he was having a bad day. Following week my friends wanted to have a brunch on Sunday to do a late bday celebration so here I was again. And got the same waiter. Again- he was not friendly and rushed us to leave. Even brought us our checks without asking if we were done and we were still in the middle of our mimosas. Had he not brought our checks we would have ordered another bottle and dessert. Very disappointed in the service as I usually rave about this place and usually highly recommend. I don't feel welcome any more. Not sure what is going on but I hope if I go again we don't experience this treatment again.

Tell me the last time you spent 4 hours at a brunch-themed all things Queen Béy AND Renaissance?! From the decor, to the themed menu items, to the pop-up photo-ops, Hector & Jeff @theunionkitchenhou were amazing hosts for our lively Renaissance brunch affair! Honeycomb drinks?! "Blue(berry) Ivy" biscuits?! Personal swag bags? Count me in! As if I needed another reason to pull out my silver boots & cosplay alongside some newfound @heynewfriends! The jell-o shots were plentiful, as were the mimosa flights! I'll for sure be back (&maybe by then The Queen Béy drink can be a permanent menu item...).

    Charneice B.

Let's start with my server, Veronica, she was AMAZING! She was very kind; I ordered a mimosa and it was flat, I was hesitant to say anything about any issues with the taste of my drink, she fixed it and even offered other options. She told me never to apologize that she is there to serve me. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. The restaurant was clean along with the restrooms. We had pasta, chicken and waffles, omelettes and pancake tacos. It was all tastefully delicious. I will definitely be back. The experience was amazing.

Brett provided great service at the memorial location. I miss having this restaurant in Bellaire. Mother's day was crowded and it looked like each server had a lot of tables but they all tried their best. Food was good, fish was fresh. We started with the bang bang shrimp. Unfortunately there is very little shrimp on the plate so I would recommend they choose a smaller plate. I had the lobster ravioli. My husband had a stuffed snapper that was very good. The crab Florentino and blackened salmon also good. My kids loved the chicken tenders. Texas sheet cake with dr pepper was fantastic! The table was tight for 6 of us. They put up a cute mother's day backdrop and had a face painter.

The dining room is chic and feels very upscale but comfortable with a large open fire kitchen that was really fun to watch while dining. They were very on top of service with both our dining captain and waiter checking on us throughout the evening. For appetizers we ordered the deviled crabs, tuna tostada and wood roasted carrots. All were great but I especially loved the carrots which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. For my main course I had the chicken and dumplings, husband got the NY strip, our friends shared the whole fish and we had the cabbage and crab rice as sides. Everyone was very happy with both their main courses and the side dishes. We were too stuffed to order dessert but they sent out a s'mores inspired sunday for my birthday which was both thoughtful and sublime. Overall we were very impressed with our meal. Between me and hubs, we had a Pan de campo, an order of Gulf Oysters "casino", (4) dressed oysters, a 16 oz dry aged ribeye, a snapper entree and a side of crab fried rice. We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. Hubs had their "classic" old fashioned which he said was excellent! Overall, highly recommended if you don't mind the splurge or for a special occasion!

When we arrived and gave our name for our reservation, we were seated in an area that was visibly dirty -- the seats had not been cleaned. We requested to move to another table, which they accommodated without issue. Our waitress was pleasant and gave good drink recommendations. However the drinks were not strong at all -- and if a drink isn't strong, what's the point? The drink was good just not enough alcohol. The food was a different story. I originally wanted the brisket tacos but was told they were out of brisket, so I had to settle for something else that somewhat fit my taste. My potatoes were essentially scraps -- hard and inedible. My pancake was dry, cold, and arrived with no butter. It was just not a good pancake. The eggs were fine -- eggs are eggs. My friends didn't fare much better. One ordered the steak bites and rice pilaf and said her food was too sweet but the steak was tender. The other got the grilled chicken sandwhich and felt the pesto was overwhelming -- way too much of it. We also ordered deviled eggs, which were completely overpowered by a heavy-handed spicy mustard. If you know mustard, you know it takes over everything -- and it did. The bacon and Tabasco flavors were completely lost. When I flagged my potatoes to the food runner, they offered to bring more -- but why would I want more of something that should never have been served in the first place? I declined. This was our first and last visit to Daily Gather. Nothing about the experience was spectacular or special enough to bring us back.

Honestly it was quicker than we had expected, didnt feel long so we were happy. The steak entree was huge, I was not expecting it to be so big and to basically be laid on top of a bed of fries. I loved the gravy that came on top of it, especially the added bacon bits. Fries were good too! I had plenty to take home of both thats for sure. My fiance did enjoy his meal as well!
