Pasta Lola

We came back for a third time to give this place another try, and it did not disappoint. I was able to make a reservation easily over the phone, and the attendant was very friendly. We brought our friends here to celebrate their anniversary, and our waitress was attentive, kind, and made the experience even better. The food was great as always, and everything from our drinks to our order came out correctly. This time we were seated inside, and the restaurant was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly not too crowded for a Friday evening. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience, and we'll definitely be back. Thanks to Ashley as well for making this possible the 3rd time around.

East Coast and Gulf Coast Oysters

Service was pleasant. Atmosphere was upscale and elegant, yet still approachable. Food was okay-- We tried the East & Gulf Coast oysters (which were far too oyster-esque for me!) and the fancy "frites" that I cannot remember the name of. Overall I can't say that I was too impressed. Not sure if I will return.

This place has been on my list, and when a friend wanted to try it, I was ready to jump on the chance. We came for brunch on a Sunday. We had a resy but place wasn't too crazy, we didn't really need it and were seated without it.. Parking- the large covered garage is a short distance away. Or you can see if you can get lucky and find the few street parking spots in front of some of the businesses. Service- was sweet with Madison. She gave service with a smile despite being busy. She gave us insight about the menu. We enjoyed sitting outside on the covered patio with a cool breeze. I belive a manager was circling outside to assist and check on guests which was good to see. She stopped by our table but didn't introduce herself. Food- I ordered the BLT with avocado and for my side I subbed for a cesar gem salad with anchovy for a $2 upcharge. It was satisfying for price $20. We plan to return to get there brunch board (there take on charcuteri board), which feeds 4 to 6 people for $85 bucks which really is a steal, plus it looks really tasty. But we didn't have enough people for that since it was only 2 of us, and it would have been too much.

Stylish, tasty, and seed oils free! Service and atmosphere: The service was good. The staff were attentive and friendly. The restaurant is located in the heart of Town and Country area which is very nice. They offer many seating options both inside and outside. Food and drinks: Very good selection in both areas. What attracted me to this restaurant is the fact that they stopped using seed oils. This is amazing! The food choices were great. We started with fried calamari. It was tender and well prepared. Our mains (burger and grains bowl) were well seasoned and full of flavours. The bar selection is very good. You can order various cocktails and European wines which was great too! Pricing: $$/$ - you will get your moneys worth.

Arancini

Absolutely delicious! We tried the weekday 2course lunch deal and added a mimosa -- such a great value for the quality and portion sizes. The arancini were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, topped with a rich sauce that made each bite indulgent without being too heavy. I ordered the crunchy noodle salad with pulled chicken, and it was so fresh and flavorful. The mix of chilled noodles, crisp veggies, tender chicken, and that ginger-sesame dressing had the perfect balance of savory and bright. The ambiance was beautiful (especially sitting outside in the sunshine), and service was friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back! this is a new go-to lunch spot!

We chose this place partly because of the name but also because it offered an outdoor patio, was located where we would have plenty of parking, and they had brunch. The patio seating was wonderful! Food was great, service was just as good and the ambiance was perfect for conversation. Local 5k just ended when we arrived so the courtyard area was busy with runners and vendors but it was nice to see the activity on a Saturday morning.

Kids French Toasts (half eaten)

I'm updating my review because I was contacted by the manager after my last review (which I appreciated) and decided to give them another try. I was not disappointed. To start, it was a beautiful Saturday so we sat outside. The waiter was prompt and very friendly. The food came out pretty quickly and we enjoyed everything. The only thing I wasn't 100% satisfied with was the pastries tray because I personally don't think it's worth $19 but the burger, grilles chicken sandwich, kids french toasts & Turkey Club were all great. We will definitely be back

Kids pasta
Diana C.

The beef tartare and tots were really good. The entrees are on the small side. The kid's pasta is probably good for a 6 year old, but definitely not enough for an older kid. The meatball is spicy, so it's not a good option for kids. Save the $5. Overall, good vibes, especially with the patio seating on a good weather day, but pricey if just considering the food.

Ranch Style Eggs

Sunday brunch. Weather was questionable so they helped secure seats at the bar. Loved the glass of questions. That helps keep the vibe up and people engaged. Food was delicious. Would choose sticking with the rice instead of potatoes for the steak & eggs. It was more smashed potato than home potatoes to us. The verde sauce took the ranch eggs over the top. So good. I've had some underwhelming broiled oysters recently but these were sooooo good. Perfection. Can't wait to return next time I'm in town.

First time at this restaurant! Great looking place and I was able to enjoy their breakfast menu. I love breakfast and this place did have some great selections. The area is great and it was not too busy, on a Sunday morning! The service was excellent and the food was great! Next time you're in this area it's a great spot to try !

And we gathered. Went for brunch on a Saturday at 10 am. They had just opened and there were a few tables already seated and people at the bar. 4 stars - service and overall aesthetic of the restaurant 3.3 stars - food quality and taste We were a table of 3 and ordered a few items to share. Deviled eggs (3/5) - the filling was tasty but the egg white was hard and slightly rubbery (overcooked) Citrus avocado (3/5) - it was ok, the burrata was fresh and the combination of ingredients was different (the avocado was not fully ripe) Garden omelette (4/5) - the omelette was delicious, well made and not overstuffed; the side of potatoes were a bit tough and just didn't fit in with the look of the omelette Biscuits and gravy (2.9/ 5) - the biscuits were very dense and somewhat tough to enjoy; they looked like they'd be flaky but were not; came with those same potatoes I am not against trying them again, I think it just wasn't our day. There were a few other things that we want to try. Our server was Madison and she was amazing. Friendly, helpful and made the experience even better. They picked up in business and she never stopped smiling and always checked on us. Great customer service. There is a parking garage close by and some street parking in front of shops but hard to find. There are boutiques and other restaurants in the general area.

Ample seating both indoors and outdoors on this Monday afternoon. Patio heaters and umbrellas in abundance. Request David to be your server he gave us excellent recommendations from the lunch menu. We enjoyed the beautiful flowers and lush plants. Look forward to returning the next time we visit Houston.

Stopped in for Sunday brunch and had to wait a little because the party before us was enjoying themselves too much. They gave us complimentary mimosas while we waited, so it was water under the bridge. This place is clean & spacious. The great part was we ordered one thing for the entire party to nibble on "Ultimate Brunch Board " feeds 4-6 ppl. We also tried the smoked Gouda Mac. The food was good, I wasn't really a fan of the cinnamon roll loaf. I love cinnamon. So if it doesn't karate chop me on the tongue, it's not enough. I like that we came after the brunch rush, so we were able to linger longer than usual.

We ordered a few different things: fried whole wings, dirty rice, yams, cabbage, mango habanero wings, fries, red beans and rice and Kool-aide. The fried wings, rice, fries and cabbage were well seasoned- you could taste the butter in them. My son wasn't crazy about the red beans n rice or mango habanero wings. He said it was more beans than rice and the wings lacked flavor. The Kool -aide was super sweet (as expected), but I added water to make it more palatable. While waiting we talked to some other guests Who decided to wait. Later the cook came out and chatted a bit- he was nice. Overall, food is good just come with patience.

*this review is only for crawfish, not their regular menu (which is amazing) *…read more We went here during crawfish season because they've been advertising their $8/lb crawfish, and we trusted that it would be great given the quality of their regular menu. We went on a Saturday for lunch. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but if you're looking for good Cajun boiled crawfish, this is not it. We started off with 6 lbs (group of 4) of their regular crawfish. First off, they put the Cajun seasoning on outside/shell (!!), which is a cardinal sin for Cajuns. They also minimally seasoned the boil, so the meat was lacking salt and flavor. We ordered 3 more lbs with the "wet sauce" (garlic butter), thinking the lack of flavor may be attributed to this being the first-ish batch of the day. Nope, the second batch was even less seasoned than the first. The sauce was good, but it didn't make up for the unseasoned meat. The crawfish were a good size, at least... Come on guys, I expect more from a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant!

It was a beautiful sunny day outside and it reflected all throughout the large windows of the restaurant. A+ for the ambiance. We started off with mimosa carafes for the table, great blend of juice and champagne. No complaints at all about the mimosas. He started us with a round of biscuits, with butter & jelly on the side. Would give it overall rating of 8.5/10, I actually liked them they weren't too sweetened like other biscuits. For food, I ordered the Buttermilk Waffles, turkey links, and side of Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese. The food was good, above average in my opinion. The buttermilk waffles weren't overly crisp but still had nice warm flavor (8.7/10), turkey links were satisfactory (8.1/10), and the mac & cheese was above average as well, not out of this world but pretty good nonetheless (8.0/10). In my opinion, I give this restaurant a 5-stars, not just because of the food (4 stars), but just the overall experience.
