The social hour at Dish Society is great! We were able to try so many different things for under $75. I was impressed by their cocktails, which are quite strong. Service was a bit slow but good. The patio is great place to hang out with your kids!

Great brunch option with a lot of options! Dish Society is a more "fast casual" spot - you order at the front, take a number, and find a table. This location was spacious and has lots of seating. Ordered fresh squeezed orange juice, Spicy Chicken Biscuit +eggs, and the BLT with chips. The juice was refreshing and worth the spend. Chicken Biscuits are always a solid choice - the biscuits are a bit hard but not horrible. BLT was good the addition of the avocado, egg, and aioli really spice this dish up. Dish Society is a safe option and we definitely will try other menu items in the future.

Dish Society for social hour before a wine class across the street @Total Wine...YES! Walked across the street to do a bite at social hour. The place was empty! So we did NOT know where to order as NOBODY was at the counter. We decided to sit at the bar to make sure to get seen. Husband got a $5 beer and I got an ice latte. We had the lettuce wraps, which were good but small and the goat cheese balls. All was ok for a quick bite during social hour. We will return as the food here is always fresh but the service is hit or miss.

Longtime fan of Dish Society. I recently went to this location for breakfast. Walk in, and order the the counter before seating yourself. Not sure if this is the system for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. I opted for a honey and cinnamon decaf coconut milk latte. (Say that three times really fast.) And a gf avocado toast with a fried egg atop. They also put mascarpone cheese on top... interesting touch. They have GF pancakes btw! First Watch doesn't even have that. Love that ingredients are locally sourced when possible and simply a higher quality than your run of the mill cafe or diner.

Modern restaurant and tasty eats. Service and atmosphere: The restaurant is modern, nicely decorated and very inviting. They offer many setting options. Bar area is also available. Service was pleasant. Food and drinks: Very good selection in both areas. The menu offers many different dishes. You can choose breakfast, lunch or dinner plates. You have to order before seating. Food was hearty and well made. Good flavours, balanced seasoning, and good portions. We didn't have any boozy beverages but there a few drinks to choose from on the drinks menu. Pricing: $$ not overpriced and worth it.

Avocado Toast Avocado Toast and Smoked Gouda Grits

I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and a side of grits with Gouda. The food was delivered quickly. However, the grits were too salty for my taste. The avocado was generous as were the tomatoes, onions, and greens that topped it. Unfortunately, the toast was very tough and I had to saw it with a regular knife. I wondered if it was frozen and heated in a microwave. One of my companions thought the same about their toast. Pancake were generous in size and fluffy.

I loved this dinner so much. The citrus salmon was exactly what I was craving! However, it was a smaller portion and I wasn't exactly full by the end of it. The pretzel bread pudding was confusion at first but as soon as I tasted it, it was warm, milky and delicious. Pair it with the cappuccino and it was perfect. Service was so helpful and sweet! I was able to order dessert from the table instead of going back to the counter and our server was so sweet and added a voucher for us to come back again for beignets on the house. I definitely will! All those pies looked great too!

We absolutely love going to Dish Society--it's one of our favorite spots! Today was special because we brought our small dog along and enjoyed our meal out on the patio. The atmosphere was perfect, and it was so nice to be at a place that's pet-friendly. As always, the food was absolutely delicious--flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was also top-notch--our server was friendly and attentive. It's experiences like this that keep us coming back!

Brisket and Eggs - and my delicious freshly made orange juice
    Katia G.

We went to have breakfast at this location this past Sunday. Very busy place! I ordered the avocado toast and half portion of the granola bowl. My son ordered brisket and eggs, and my husband ordered the house breakfast tacos. We all shared a portion of the beignets. They both drunk coffee and I ordered regular orange juice. The good points: My avocado toast was really good. The lemon zested honey mascarpone definitely gave it a whole new flavor. The orange juice was freshly made and it was delicious! The beignets were amazing! Crunch, warm, and sweet! The sweet coffee anglaise was delicious! A treat! Now a not so good point: my granola bowl had so much nuts and seeds that I could barely taste the yogurt! I will post the picture. Maybe it was a mistake because as I walked to the bathroom I saw other customers eating their granola bowls and they didn't have nearly half the amount of seeds and nuts my had. But my bowl was nearly full and I ended up eating just the fruits on top. Neutral point: My son said that the grits under his brisket were too heavy. They tasted good but it was heavy. It is smoked Gouda grits so it will be a bit heavy. Just be aware when you order it! Other than that, we enjoyed our breakfast. Ambiance? Casual! It was a Sunday morning so it was busy.

I loved this place! Convenient parking, plenty of seating indoor and outdoor, and good food. The service was kind and quick even though I went with a small group. Price is reasonable and the menu has a lot of options. Your order yourself at the counter and they bring the food to your table I think my only qualm is that the food portions weren't that big. Brunch places usually have fairly large portions but here, the amount was about what I'd eat at home(5'2 female). I got the Nutella French toast since it seemed to be popular and it only came with two pieces. Many other places usually provide around four. Overall my experience was good, but nothing notable. The food was good but there wasn't anything that stuck out to me.

Farm to table grilled chicken with chicken tortilla soup and brussel sprouts

It's our first time at Dish Society and usually one doesn't know what to make of chain restaurants. There was a really long line at 6 pm but Gwen the cashier was so gracious. The waitstaff were all fantastic and we appreciate their service on a busy Tuesday night. The food was surprisingly fresh and very good! We had the farm to table entree and the citrus salmon, the pecan dessert and a prickly pear drink.

I want to start by saying this place is amazing! I went here after brunch for the second evening shift but as you see in the photos it's only me but normally breakfast/brunch is ALWAYS packed out and busy due to the great food they serve so anywho this particular day I had the GRILLED CHICKEN PESTO SANDWICH ON A PRETZEL BUN so delicious, fresh and flavorful along with the freshly cooked chips....I truly enjoyed this combo as I sat peacefully and enjoyed the ambiance....very nice service......I will return soon and I hope you all will stop by if you're in town or on that side of town and looking for a great brunch spot you don't have to question. 5 stars Thanks guys see you again soon!!

Tomato Bisque and Grilled Pesto Chicken Sandwich
    Wendy H.

Stopped in on a weekday a little after lunch time. It wasn't busy so we ordered our food and found a table easily. The servers were nice and our food came out pretty quickly. My mom ordered a bowl of their tomato bisque and their chicken pesto sandwich. The soup wasn't our favorite, it was leaning on the sweet side. The sandwich however was decent, the pesto had a good flavor but there was barely any pesto on the sandwich. My sister had their pesto pasta, it was good as well but it had so much sauce that it was almost soupy. I ordered the bbq brisket sandwich and it was fantastic! The brisket was cooked nicely it was tender and the sauce was tangy. The slaw added the perfect crunch. If I were rating just based on my dish I'd give a higher rating, but because everyone else's dishes were just okay I don't think I can give a higher rating.

We ordered a few different things: fried whole wings, dirty rice, yams, cabbage, mango habanero wings, fries, red beans and rice and Kool-aide. The fried wings, rice, fries and cabbage were well seasoned- you could taste the butter in them. My son wasn't crazy about the red beans n rice or mango habanero wings. He said it was more beans than rice and the wings lacked flavor. The Kool -aide was super sweet (as expected), but I added water to make it more palatable. While waiting we talked to some other guests Who decided to wait. Later the cook came out and chatted a bit- he was nice. Overall, food is good just come with patience.

*this review is only for crawfish, not their regular menu (which is amazing) *…read more We went here during crawfish season because they've been advertising their $8/lb crawfish, and we trusted that it would be great given the quality of their regular menu. We went on a Saturday for lunch. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but if you're looking for good Cajun boiled crawfish, this is not it. We started off with 6 lbs (group of 4) of their regular crawfish. First off, they put the Cajun seasoning on outside/shell (!!), which is a cardinal sin for Cajuns. They also minimally seasoned the boil, so the meat was lacking salt and flavor. We ordered 3 more lbs with the "wet sauce" (garlic butter), thinking the lack of flavor may be attributed to this being the first-ish batch of the day. Nope, the second batch was even less seasoned than the first. The sauce was good, but it didn't make up for the unseasoned meat. The crawfish were a good size, at least... Come on guys, I expect more from a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant!

It was a beautiful sunny day outside and it reflected all throughout the large windows of the restaurant. A+ for the ambiance. We started off with mimosa carafes for the table, great blend of juice and champagne. No complaints at all about the mimosas. He started us with a round of biscuits, with butter & jelly on the side. Would give it overall rating of 8.5/10, I actually liked them they weren't too sweetened like other biscuits. For food, I ordered the Buttermilk Waffles, turkey links, and side of Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese. The food was good, above average in my opinion. The buttermilk waffles weren't overly crisp but still had nice warm flavor (8.7/10), turkey links were satisfactory (8.1/10), and the mac & cheese was above average as well, not out of this world but pretty good nonetheless (8.0/10). In my opinion, I give this restaurant a 5-stars, not just because of the food (4 stars), but just the overall experience. The ambiance was great, our server was hilarious, kept us entertained the entire time, and they were convenient nonetheless. They do 20% auto-gratuity as well. I bring family and friends here all the time along with business partners. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston, Texas. You will experience the best food and the best service here every single time! Today was the first time I decided to get some food to go. Bradley was an absolute professional. While I was leaving, Johnny Carrabba came out and talked to me for a second. What a nice guy. Full of natural charisma. Reminds me of an old wise guy from casino or Goodfellas. We had a great conversation. I told him how my grandmother was born in Bryan Texas in 1927. He told me about his family that migrated there in 1905. He also mentioned his family had a store on Canal Street. I had no idea. An exceptional person, a legend in the restaurant industry here in Houston, Texas. It was great to meet you today Johnny. Thank you for your professionalism and hospitality and also thank you for serving some of the best food in Houston, Texas! Food: as you can see from all my pictures of the food is simply amazing. The best cornbread in the world. The best pot roast. The best sticky ribs. The best desserts. Everything here is phenomenal. Lunch dinner brunch you cannot go wrong. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Bradley and Johnny today I've been coming to this location for years and I will continue to come and support this restaurant.

The food, decor, and service here were amazing. We wanted to try this restaurant as we were looking to try the best corn bread in the area. The jalapeno corn bread that is served here was way better than I had expected. It was seasoned well and not dry at all! We ordered Chicken fried chicken and Cajun fried chicken to share. Both entrees were extremely good, but the sides unfortunately fell short. The collard greens were a tad bit too salty & the mac & cheese was a little bland for our liking. The mashed potatoes were our favorite side. Our server, Ned, was extremely kind to our table and provided us a great dining experience!

Feels good when an establishment takes pride in their customer's feedback and puts a plan into action. Honestly, part of me was hoping that last time was just a fluke or an off day. This time around, everything from the service to the food was great. We had a 12:30 Sunday reservation for two and opted to sit inside this time. We ordered the cast-iron cornbread, chargrilled oysters, and a cup of gumbo each to start. For entrées, I had the Gulf Fish, while my husband went with the crawfish Florentine. Everything came out beautifully timed, almost like a perfectly paced three-course meal, which obviously made the whole experience feel elevated and relaxed. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and on top of everything without being overbearing. I also tried the prickly pear aid (non-alcoholic), and it was super refreshing, definitely worth ordering if you like a little tartness to cleanse your palate. Overall, this visit felt like a completely different experience than last time. It delivered the elevated experience a place like Eunice promises and what I was used to originally. Looking forward to celebrating my birthday here in June!

Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was disappointing due to both the service and the food quality. Our server was very slow throughout the evening. After ordering cocktails, it took approximately 20 minutes for them to arrive. We then ordered our meals... I had the burger and fries, while my girlfriend ordered the shrimp and grits. Both dishes were noticeably over salted. After finishing our meals, we waited an additional 15-20 minutes just to receive a dessert menu. Eventually, we decided not to wait any longer and went to Dessert Gallery down the street instead. While the atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant were excellent, the slow service and food issues negatively impacted the experience. Based on this visit, I would likely not return.
