Tasty Munch is a simple diner with excellent food with a cozy atmosphere. The parking lot offers plenty of spaces near the restaurant although it is shared by other businesses. The food portions will challenge the biggest appetite and the taste will make you try to cram in every bite on your plate. Being greedy, I ordered a side pancake with my Classic Breakfast of eggs, sausage, seasoned potatoes and toast. The pancake was very light and fluffy certainly a 5. The seasoned potatoes were nice and crispy perfectly seasoned earning a 5 from me. My eggs (3.5) were cooked a little hard for my taste but good. The sausage (4) was a very hearty two patties. Our server was very friendly and patient while we navigated the very large menu. She offered suggestions that help make the decision process simpler. I hope to find myself in the area again looking for a great breakfast spot.

Tasty Munch is a cozy and intimate diner. The decor is on point. The staff were warm and friendly. The menu had the typical breakfast food, but their pancakes were different from others. I had the veggie skillet topped with poached eggs, and cookies and cream pancakes. One of my poached eggs was overcooked, while the other was perfect with runny yolk. The skillet was well seasoned. The pancakes were ok. Plenty of free parking spots available.

What a nice surprise! Just happened on this place on the way running some errands with my son and decided to give it a try for breakfast. Minimum wait time and a very comfortable seating area highlighted by a very well-made breakfast diner food! Decent price prices for the serving size that you get. Give this place a try!

The food was fantastic! It's a family own business and the portion that they serve you are generous. I had the waffle combo which had scrambled eggs and I ordered the sausage links and it was all cooked perfectly. Eggs were fluffy. Waffle had a nice crunch to it yet was not hard. In the sausage links or cooked perfectly and they were flavorful. Service was very good And the layout of the place has a very open field to it and you could see the cooks in the kitchen and everything was served to order. I'm most definitely be back.

Tried them out bc we saw them on YELP. Seated quickly. Food was hot & fresh, LOVED their seasoned potatoes. We ordered two classic breakfasts and I subbed the toast for chocochip pancakes. They were light, fluffy and so good. I ate ALL my food. It's not fancy but it's good. It's like I want to give 4 stars for the food bc it wasn't amazing BUT the service was fantastic so they balance each other. Let's just say, if you want good breakfast food that doesn't break the bank? This is your place.

This place never disappoints! I love the sorta old school ambience, and god those 80s throwbacks songs get me every time! Oh yeah and the food is good too, I've been here probably 3 times and the food was consistently good, and the service is amazing!

I was bummed to see Avalon shutter, but shortly after Tasty Munch opened up in the old space, so we thought to give it a try. Tasty Munch presents itself as a similar greasy spoon diner. The interior is still a work in progress. It looks like Avalon closed, pulled all their stuff off the wall, and then Tasty Munch moved in and opened up for business. Hopefully they put some art on the walls and start to make the space their own. The menu offers breakfast, salads, skillets, hot sandwiches, and cold sandwiches. It's pretty much what you'd expect for a diner. Everything we ordered seemed fine enough, but there are some weird things here and there as they try and get the restaurant up and running. Thinking of examples, almost all breakfast plates come standard with a side of potatoes. The Biscuits and Gravy plate comes with biscuits & Gravy, 2 eggs, and a side of potatoes. Not hash browns, not a baked potato, just potatoes. Also, they don't offer grits, which is usually a common staple for Southern diner breakfasts. So yeah it's little stuff like that they're still figuring out. Service was friendly and clearly a member of the new ownership family. They really want to get your order right, and asked multiple times for honest feedback which I really appreciate. They're trying. Overall, Tasty Munch is just getting their feet under them after opening, and if you're patient and open with communication, I think they'll eventually fill in the gaps. For now, if you're looking for a basic breakfast or lunch meal, they should get you there. Will update my review further on down the road.

Between the group we ordered two HOT Chicken Thunder Fries, the HOT MESS fries, three orders of the jumbo chicken tenders and waffles (two hot honey, one plain), a full order of mac and cheese, and the Cheeseburger Fryders. It was a lot of food and somehow it was all hot, fresh, and honestly really good. I love a sweet and savory combo when I'm expecting it, and this place definitely delivers. The waffles reminded me a lot of classic Waffle House waffles and the tenders were huge and actually seasoned well. The loaded fries were seriously loaded too. Lots of sauce, lots of meat, and we definitely didn't feel cheated. We were stuffed and still had leftovers. The only thing I personally wasn't crazy about were the Fryders. I think mini waffles as buns would've been better, but they weren't bad and my friend scarfed them down. Service was quick once we ordered and the staff was super chill. They let us sit there gossiping and picking at food for almost three hours without making us feel rushed, which I really appreciated. A couple small complaints though. Ordering is only through the iPads so you don't really get to ask questions, and the tables could definitely be wiped down a bit more often. Also the AC could be turned down a little... it was pretty cold in there. That said, the prices are actually pretty reasonable for The Heights. I spent a little over $50 myself and didn't feel scammed one bit considering how much food we ordered. Funny enough we originally tried to go to their Alabama location on Sunday but the line was out the door and parking was a nightmare. My friend literally drove off and told us to cancel. We ended up driving about 26 minutes to this location instead and honestly I'm glad we did. Great food, quick turnaround, and a fun spot to hang out for a while. We'll definitely be back.

I'm not sure what their staff of 2 (who was nice) was doing back there but 20 minutes to get my order seemed a bit long. I wasn't in a rush but it just felt way longer than you should have wait for something like this. I enjoyed it just fine...but for the time it took, it didn't come off as anything special. It was pretty runny rather than a thicker milkshake that I was expecting. My wife ordered a lavender lemon drop martini and the server asked if she wanted tequila or vodka with it. Martinis aren't made with tequila. Drinks were delivered. I ordered a Tito's and lemonade and there was no ice in it. My wife was served a lavender margarita. She recognized immediately that the drink had tequila. After a few minutes we were able to get the servers attention and let him know. He took the drink back to the bar and a couple of minutes later came back with it and said the bartender made her cocktail with Tito's. A manager came over and asked what the issue was with margarita. Told him that the issue was she didn't order a margarita and had ordered a martini. She declined the drink and ordered the same Tito's and lemonade that I had ordered, which was also served warm. When I received the bill they didn't take the wrong drink off the bill. But discounted her Tito's and lemonade $1.20. At the end of the meal we had asked for the bill. The server returned and informed me that since we made our reservation on Open Table they collected a $50 per person fee to secure the reservation and it clearly stated it would be applied to the bill. No issues there. I've been to restaurants before that do this. Protects the restaurant on no shows. But the server said that our bill didn't reach that $100 threshold. The bill he brought was $80 and change. I asked if the tip could just be applied and get to the $100. Now the same manager returns and says that the $100 fee is intended to be non refundable but will make an exception for me and showed that he refunded the reservation fee. Looking over the bill before giving them my card they already had a 15% gratuity built in to the $80. I can't ever remember going to a restaurant that had the gratuity already built into the check total unless it was a large group. Good food. Poor service.
