Tried out a new spot because I was in the neighborhood. The Stuffed French Toast is really a French toast sandwich (2 halves) with meat, egg & cheese. I found myself taking one side of the French toast off & putting syrup on it so I could have the effect of both a breakfast sandwich & just french toast. The accompanying breakfast potatoes were very good; Crispy squares & well seasoned. I tasted the pancakes. They were light. They get a little gummy in your mouth after the syrup sinks it but they were good. One side buttermilk pancake is $3.29. The service was good, server very friendly. The place is very unassuming from the street & the interior decor is a diner. Prices are reasonable. One absolute must get is the FRESH juice. Note this is different than the regular juice. Fresh squeeze orange juice is $8 vs ~$4 for regular orange juice. Perhaps a little pricey but so, so good. I got a fresh pineapple orange juice mix. Yum!! read more

Service was great. Servers were awesome and made sure my coffee cup was always full. Got the two eggs, hash browns, bacon, and pancakes. Everything about this breakfast was pretty solid. Showed up a little before 9 am on a Sunday and I was the first one there. A few more tables trickled in after 9. The inside is spacious with retro looking seats - probably leftover from the previous diner. I ordered the Ya'll skillet (5/5) with two scrambled eggs and added one poached egg. Also substituted the breakfast potatoes with hashed browns at the bottom of the skillet. This made for a great bite and I would highly recommend. The amount of cheese was just right, and the skillet itself is Texas sized. I was only able to finish half. Can also report the poached egg was perfectly cooked. Service was responsive with one person handling front of house and two in the kitchen. With 5 tables by the time I left, it did take a bit to get her attention but understandable. read more

Tasty Munch is a simple diner with excellent food with a cozy atmosphere. The parking lot offers plenty of spaces near the restaurant although it is shared by other businesses. The food portions will challenge the biggest appetite and the taste will make you try to cram in every bite on your plate. Being greedy, I ordered a side pancake with my Classic Breakfast of eggs, sausage, seasoned potatoes and toast. The pancake was very light and fluffy certainly a 5. The seasoned potatoes were nice and crispy perfectly seasoned earning a 5 from me. My eggs (3.5) were cooked a little hard for my taste but good. The sausage (4) was a very hearty two patties. Our server was very friendly and patient while we navigated the very large menu. She offered suggestions that help make the decision process simpler. I hope to find myself in the area again looking for a great breakfast spot. read more

Tasty Munch is a cozy and intimate diner. The decor is on point. The staff were warm and friendly. The menu had the typical breakfast food, but their pancakes were different from others. I had the veggie skillet topped with poached eggs, and cookies and cream pancakes. One of my poached eggs was overcooked, while the other was perfect with runny yolk. The skillet was well seasoned. The food was fantastic! It's a family own business and the portion that they serve you are generous. I had the waffle combo which had scrambled eggs and I ordered the sausage links and it was all cooked perfectly. Eggs were fluffy. Waffle had a nice crunch to it yet was not hard. In the sausage links or cooked perfectly and they were flavorful. Service was very good And the layout of the place has a very open field to it and you could see the cooks in the kitchen and everything was served to order. I'm most definitely be back. read more

We wanted breakfast one morning, and decided to give Tasty Munch a shot. Its close to home and not a chain. We'd prefer to support small businesses. Upon entering it gave a diner feel. Nothing standing out as good or bad. We were seated right away and offered coffee or something else to drink. We both got coffee, it tasted ok. For my meal I ordered pancakes. I'm kind of a weirdo when it comes to pancakes. I dont like for them to crumble when you put the syrup on them. I like for them to kind of hold their shape. These turned into a mess when I put syrup on them. Like they turned to clumsy sand. Not my favorite. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. But with it being breakfast time and a breakfast place, I figured that was a safe order. My husband was ok with his meal, but again, nothing stood out. Tried them out bc we saw them on YELP. Seated quickly. Food was hot & fresh, LOVED their seasoned potatoes. We ordered two classic breakfasts and I subbed the toast for chocochip pancakes. They were light, fluffy and so good. I ate ALL my food. It's not fancy but it's good. It's like I want to give 4 stars for the food bc it wasn't amazing BUT the service was fantastic so they balance each other. I was bummed to see Avalon shutter, but shortly after Tasty Munch opened up in the old space, so we thought to give it a try. Tasty Munch presents itself as a similar greasy spoon diner. The interior is still a work in progress. It looks like Avalon closed, pulled all their stuff off the wall, and then Tasty Munch moved in and opened up for business. Hopefully they put some art on the walls and start to make the space their own. The menu offers breakfast, salads, skillets, hot sandwiches, and cold sandwiches. It's pretty much what you'd expect for a diner. Everything we ordered seemed fine enough, but there are some weird things here and there as they try and get the restaurant up and running. Thinking of examples, almost all breakfast plates come standard with a side of potatoes. The Biscuits and Gravy plate comes with biscuits & Gravy, 2 eggs, and a side of potatoes. Not hash browns, not a baked potato, just potatoes. Also, they don't offer grits, which is usually a common staple for Southern diner breakfasts. So yeah it's little stuff like that they're still figuring out. Service was friendly and clearly a member of the new ownership family. They really want to get your order right, and asked multiple times for honest feedback which I really appreciate. They're trying. Overall, Tasty Munch is just getting their feet under them after opening, and if you're patient and open with communication, I think they'll eventually fill in the gaps. For now, if you're looking for a basic breakfast or lunch meal, they should get you there. Will update my review further on down the road. read more

First time here. Service was great and our server (Henry) was outstanding. He had a great sense of humor and his customer service was great. Food was good and hot when we got it. And the cook knew how to cook, perfect over easy eggs. Several items that resulted in the 3 star review are; toast should be crunchy not a limp piece of bread and for a breakfast that cost over 16 dollars for bacon and eggs, two pieces of bread for toast would not hurt. read more

1st . time went there for breakfast. Good pictures look good. I ordered the steak and egg breakfast. My husband ordered the stuffed waffles. He enjoyed his waffle while I struggled taking next bite of the steak. It has lemon flavor to it. Steak should only be salt and pepper. Could not taste the meat, lemon was so strong. My husband and I decided to try this place for lunch. I ordered a chicken sandwich and my husband ordered a BLT. It was disappointing. The chicken lacked flavor and the chicken breast was not moist nor tender. The BLT tasted greasy. The employees were super friendly and the service was great! The seating is nice and comfortable and the decor is nice and clean. It's unfortunate that the food isn't up to par. Regretfully, we won't be back, nor would we recommend this place. read more

Ordered the breakfast burrito with fries and a Pepsi for breakfast. I loved every bite especially when I dipped it in the homemade warm salsa they give you. The only thing I'd like is the tortilla grilled a little more. Some people may like it like that and it was still good but leaving a little long on the grill to give it a nice color will take it to another level. That's just my opinion I still enjoyed it . This was me and my sister's first time going to this place. The food was good but the service was exceptional. I ordered an omelette but had to retire the first one because it was fried too hard for my liking.
