Lettuce in salad all ate up
    Joy J.

I love Flower child but it has been very questionable lately here. Last time the steam was such a terrible quality. I didn't say much thinking it was one of those days....Yesterday, I got a to go order and it was so disappointing. Watermelon was not even full half way with all end part. And see the pictures of lettuce from the salad.

My hubs and I decided to dine here for dinner after a workout and while it was pleasantly peaceful and not too noisy, there were some hiccups during our dining experience. While the restaurant seemingly appeared clean, the half booth had fallen crumbs and were not wiped down very well. On the upside, The staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Kebab bowl and while it was really tasty, the food was not fresh. Every time I took a spoonful or a bite, I could feel hardened rice or quinoa that was dry and hard as a rock - almost like tiny pebble textures in each spoonful I took. But I just thought it might've been part of the dish so I didn't say anything until towards th end of the meal because it kept happening over and over again. What was supposed to be a pleasant meal, was very unpleasant. A staff member did apologize and offered us a dessert on the house for the inconvenience...I appreciated that. But for a restaurant that prides itself on greens and healthy food options, the food did not meet my expectations. Just because it was the end of the day doesn't mean dining patrons should be getting the scraps or bottom of the bin food because they don't want to make another batch. Had the rice been cooked properly and not hard, the dish itself was super tasty and delicious! I'd highly recommend requesting extra yogurt sauce on The side.

Delicious!!!! Everything we ordered was delicious. You have to try the Rose lemonade, I lost count how many refills I got. The restaurant is very spacious and there's plenty of parking. It was delicious and super fresh. I can't wait to come back. Ordering our food was so easy. Everything came out in a very timely manner.

Planned to visit another restaurant but chanced upon Flower Child. Always wanted to try it, and thought why not today. Plenty of healthy food options, but I was attracted by the poke bowl option. Ordered at the counter, got a number tag, and grabbed a table. There were plenty of seats but seats filled up fast during peak hours. The interior was beautiful and welcoming. The exterior was pretty too. My plate was served to my table. The portion was pretty small, and the raw fish was flavorless and mushy. The quality wasn't there. I was expecting to see dices of fish, instead of a lump of fish. Probably other food options will taste better.

Where to start? This new location in the Town and Country area is soon to become a local favorite. From start to finish we found the staff to be exemplary and extremely knowledgeable on their menu.Mey was delightful in her excitement over each menu recommendation. The olive oil cake "chef's kiss" muffins were light airy and gluten free which we found was representative of all their desserts. The chicken with roasted broccoli was cooked to perfection with the right amount of seasonings without being over salted. They offer inside and outside seating plus plenty of parking. We are already planning our next visit!!

A newish Flower Child in Memorial City. Have been to their Heights and Woodlands spots and have had a decent experience. This spot was extremely busy during lunch hours; I got the steak entree with the sweet potatoes and kung pao cauliflower with some queso and chips as the starter. The chips were the standard store bought chips; quite bland and boring. The queso was fine but definitely a step below Torchy's. My steak pieces were cooked well and slightly under seasoned. The roasted sweet potatoes weren't very roasted and tasted like they were steamed; they were quite soggy. The cauliflower also had a weird flavor which is definitely not a Kung Pao style sauce; a very odd side. Overall, for the price at a health conscious fast casual spot, it's a bit below expectations for me. With all of the associated chains popping up, it's hard to tell if the quality is still there from back when they had fewer stores.

Finally a flower child in memorial!! I've been waiting for this location to open for months. I ordered the rebel wrap and my cousins got a steak bowl with risotto, Brussels sprouts, and Mac n cheese. We loved our food. If you're looking for a place that serves fresh and healthy food -- this is the spot to go to!

I love how Flower Child accommodates vegan and gluten free options! I ordered the soup of the day, Moroccan sweet potato soup. The slight spice blended nicely with the sweet potatoes and created a lovely flavor. I also ordered the avocado toast, which came sliced into fourths and was topped with delicious eggs, shredded white cheddar cheese, and poppy seeds. I can't wait to come back to Flower Child and bring friends!

Place is nice inside and seemed to have lots of seating on a Friday afternoon. The register person wasn't that friendly, she seemed annoyed. The staff that brought out the food were very friendly though. I ordered the protein and 2 sides: chicken, gluten free mac and cheese, white bean asparagus. At first glance the portions seemed rather small, but it was a good serving size. The sides were amazing, I would just order those sides the next time. The chicken was very bland and dry, would not get again. Overall if you're like my and have dietary restrictions, I would definitely give this place a try as they have a lot of GF & vegan options.

I'm ecstatic that we finally have flower child in Houston! I was introduced to this eatery a couple of years ago and fell in love with really yummy and healthy food options. Let's get into it, when you arrive, there's a counter to order your food and drinks, grab a number, then find a seat either indoors or on the outdoor patio. One thing I wish I saw was a covering for the patio because Texas heat can get very hot! This location is really big, spacious, light, and very vibrant. It's located in the heart of memorial in Town & Country (behind Snooze!). I've tried the Mother Earth bowl and ancient grains bowl before both are great. I absolutely am obsessed with the chicken enchiladas so that's our go-to item every time! They have a nice array of fountain drinks, kombucha, canned drinks, and water. They make kombucha in house (non-alcoholic). Yesterday we tried their latest batch of peach and matcha kombucha and THAT WAS SO DANG GOOD!!!! Try this place out, it's my staple on the weekends after church with the family, we enjoy this area and so happy to have a flower child closer to us! No matter what you're craving, you can be sure to find something healthy, flavorful, and equally delicious at Flower Child. Tons of parking available in the surrounding lots also, big plus!

On the hunt for something healthy near my gym, I spotted Flower Child and decided to give it a shot. You order at the counter first--super straightforward--then grab a seat in the bright, open, laid-back dining area. The staff were genuinely friendly and patient while I hemmed and hawed over the menu. I landed on the daily soup and the Turkey Cobb Salad, and wow--it was honestly delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I needed. Simple, satisfying, and no regrets.

BIG FAN of flower child. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it basic food. Maybe. But they never let me down. Very gluten free friendly and even make note when you inform them of allergy.

Service was amazing-- we loved our waiter who was a combination of polite, funny, and knowledgeable, and everyone gave us a smile. All the dishes were beautifully presented and flavorful but definitely on the heavier side. - Beet salad (5/5)-- wow, never had a beet salad like this one before! So much flavor with a tanginess from vinegar sweetened by the blueberries and beets. The beets didn't taste very earthy (aka like dirt) compared to most beet salad. This was really well executed :) - Caesar salad (3.5/5)-- Credence's spin on Caesar, which according to my Caesar salad pro diner, didn't really taste like Caesar salad. Also very tangy and tart but the pro still enjoyed it as a salad dish. - Roasted cabbage (4/5)-- big fan of the way they roasted this, perfect tenderness without being cabbage mush! Definitely a heavy dish, especially for a vegetable option, as it was swimming in a butter cream sauce that started to congeal as it cooled off. Would choose this more as an indulgent appetizer rather than a healthy veggie option. I wonder if one could ask for the sauce on the side... - Tuna tostada (3.5/5)-- if you like strong flavors, this one packs a punch. The gochujang aioli beneath the tuna is really concentrated, making it difficult to taste the actual tuna. There's a bit of heat but thankfully I wouldn't say it was spicy. Fun to try. The tostada itself was very dense and almost a bit bread-y versus a crispy chip texture. - Crab fried rice (4/5)-- comes with lobster foam that is mixed table side and a generous amount of crabmeat lumps. The rice actually had a nice texture without being too... grainy / individualized, but it was too salty for me. - Akaushi Wagyu beef (4.5/5)-- loved the texture which was tender but with some chew (was expecting more of a melt-in-the-mouth texture though) and the veggies that it came with. It was heavily salted, too much so for me. Would've been perfect with less salt since there's already a chimichurri sauce with it. - Peanut butter tart (4.5/5)-- peanut butter lovers rejoice! The chocolate filling was rich, thick, and sweet which was complemented nicely with the whipped cream (not sweet at all). The peanut flavor really shined. The crust didn't have much of a taste by itself and was sandy in texture, not sure if on purpose or over-baked and dried out. Either way, the tart looked impressive when it arrived and was delectable-- my favorite bite of the night! Overall a nice experience! Although there was a mess up and the rest of our two salads and crab rice wasn't packed with our other food to take home; I was pretty sad about that since it was quite a bit of food (and $$). I might return for that peanut butter tart, but everything else was too heavy and too salty for me. I'm personally not a huge butter fan, but if you are, definitely make a reservation for a special occasion or date!
