Atlantis Zeppelin

Bread Zepplin is a unique concept that takes your sandwich to another level. They fill their hollowed out baguettes with your choice of salad/ meat. It's a very fun concept! This place is like counter service and they are very quick. We ordered for pickup and our order was ready in 15 mins. This location is right off of I-10 near memorial city. They have a beautiful, bright interior and the restaurant is very clean. We ordered multiple items and each item was 5/5. I got the Tejano Caesar Zeppelin which comes with cojita cheese, jalapeños, house tortilla strips and romaine. I got this with the Caesar dressing and steak and it was amazing. The perfect ratio of meat to fillings. The bread here is amazing. My girlfriend got the bowl with a baguette on the side because she wasn't a believer of the Zeppelin but she ate the whole baguette after finishing her bowl. She got the Peruvian grain bowl which comes with brown rice, peppers, corn salad, and pickled red onions. We also got the Atlantis Zeppelin which is a Mediterranean zeppelin with cucumbers, chicken, tomatoes, olives, banana peppers and onions. This was also a 5/5 zeppelin. Pro tip here: if you get a zeppelin, ask for the insides of your baguette on the side. The bread here is so fluffy and fresh. Also we ordered 4 chocolate chip cookies for dessert from here and they were soft and fluffy. Would recommend grabbing a cookie with your meal. This is a great spot if you're looking for something fast and delicious for lunch or dinner. Get the zeppelin because that's what they're known for and ask for the inside of the bread on the side! We will be coming back here for sure.

I am a sucker for a good sandwich so I knew had to try Bread Zeppelin. They are definitely trending and having a moment right now, and since there is one close to my job, I decided to give it a try this Friday. Around 12:15 pm they had a solid lunch crowd. The parking lot was a little hectic since there are so many businesses in one area but I got lucky and snagged a spot right in front. There were a few people in line, but it moved quickly. I really liked their concept of salads inside the bread. They hollow out the loaf and turn it into a bowl and fill it with the salad. I kept it simple with a Caesar Bread Zeppelin with chicken and added avocado and bacon. It was so delicioussssssss! It definitely hit the spot. I genuinely loved this concept, and it somehow made me feel less guilty eating a sandwich with "less bread." Probably totally psychological.... but still a win! Now, to address some of the most common concerns I have seen. Is the bread hard? Not really. Does it hurt the roof of your mouth? Kinda. I am not sure if it was the crunchy bread itself or the croutons inside, but I definitely felt it. I will say, the gentleman making my sandwich did warn me that a lot of people find the croutons too hard and I still told him to keep them. I am clearly still learning to listen to the professionals...... Regardless, this place has officially been added to my list of favorite fast lunch spots

If Salata and Subway merged... Service and atmosphere: This location offers limited number of seats but you can definitely eat inside. The place was clean and organised. Service was good. The staff were friendly. Food and drinks: Marriage of salad and baguette is a cool concept as you get the best of both worlds. The selections of salads were good. You can choose from pre designed options or build your own salads. Baguettes are warmed up before serving which is a bonus. I tried the Peruvian grain madly salad. Unfortunately, many grains were dry and hard to bite on. Other ingredients in the salad tasted okay. Wouldn't opt for this salad again. They offer good selection of soft drinks and reverse osmosis drinking water. Having filtered water in H Town is a must so that was great to see. The only disappointment was the fact that they don't serve the salads in the metal bowls that the ingredients are mixed in if you decide to stay and eat inside the place. The food is transferred to a plastic container before serving it. It makes sense for to go orders but not for dining in. Not very sustainable or environmentally friendly. Pricing: $$ - build your own salads may be cheaper than buying pre made one.

Location is new and I'm so glad there's more locations popping up. I rather order through the app since in person I get overwhelmed looking at the menu and ingredients to order. Love using the app to collect points. My go to has been the Tejano Caesar Zeppelin with steak and avocado. Just the perfect amount of freshness and texture with the salad and bread. End meal with a bread pudding for dessert. Wish had better parking and easier access.

You want a salad but you feel that might keep you full. Well this place is have your salad stuffed in a bread. Can we say yum!!! The Atlantis is like a Greek salad with a twist. This sandwich has chicken banana peppers, purple onion, with feta and Greek vinaigrette. The salad was overflowing out the bun, so you get a good bang for your buck. The location is open with a nice amount of seating it you want to eat there. They also offer soup. The service is fast and friendly with a smile.

Pretty clean restaurant upon entering, today I ordered the chicken tinga in a zeppelin. I order that way it seems more filling rather than a bowl. It was served nice and warm and with it came a variety of of ingredients that were very tasteful.

Fist time here and it won't be the last. Love the salad inside the bread concept. Staff is fast and friendly and food was great.

Just left--and we're already craving more! The fresh bread loaf was perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and stuffed with crisp salad for a flavor-packed explosion in every bite. It's one of those meals you dream about long after it's gone. Despite the restaurant being packed, the staff kept things moving efficiently and greeted everyone with a friendly smile. What really stood out was the service at the counter--the associate took time to offer thoughtful suggestions and even let us sample a few dressing combinations. That kind of personal touch is rare these days. Our only regret? There isn't a location closer to home. But honestly, it's worth every mile of the drive.

By the drink area, there's complimentary hot sauces. My favorite is the habanero one. I can't do very spicy but the sauce is so good that I can't resist. I highly recommend Flower Child to anyone who is looking to eat healthier.

I'm indifferent about the cauliflower risotto - I am not sure if I liked it or not, BUT it's a little over 100 calories and very flavorful. How is this possible? I'd definitely come back here and try their other items. Who said eating healthy has to be boring?

Tuệ Tâm is one of my favorite vegan Vietnamese restaurants in Houston, and it never disappoints…read more Starting with appetizers, the fried egg rolls are an absolute must-order -- crispy and perfectly seasoned. The salt and pepper crispy tofu is a standout with bold flavor and a satisfying crunch. The lemongrass tofu is well-seasoned and solid, and the mushroom-based chicken nuggets are honestly one of my favorite appetizers on the entire menu. The fried pancake rounds out the appetizer options nicely as well. On the rice dishes, there's plenty to love. My wife loves the shaking tofu fried rice and orders it every time we visit. The combo fried rice and shaking beef fried rice are both great choices, and the special pot rice is a comforting, satisfying option. The hardest part of dining here is choosing a favorite entrée. The grilled fish platter -- crafted from tofu and seaweed -- is a masterpiece. But it's in fierce competition with the fried chicken rice, made from mushrooms and exceptionally delicious in both flavor and texture. I genuinely can't pick just one. Whether you're a longtime vegan or simply someone who appreciates great food, Tuệ Tâm is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

This was such a random spot! I spend a lot of time in china town and never knew this was here and…read morethat it was mostly vegan. A couple things to note: 1. It is not 100% vegan. For some reason, they have 1 item (egg roll) that is not vegan. 2. Service is full service style without full service quality. Would be a better setup if we could order at the counter and sit down because that's pretty much the level of service we received anyway, so just keep that in mind going into it. 3. It was pricier than expected. We spent $50 on the items shown here. I wouldn't say I was pleased with what we spent vs what we received. Overall, the food was a mixed bag.. the soup didn't have a ton of flavor despite it being one of their most popular dishes. The 'snails' were really interesting and I enjoyed them. For $20 I wouldn't get them again but they were fun to try. The steak dish was definitely the highlight. It was so good that my non vegan boyfriend bet me $1 it was real steak. It wasn't. Overall, I think it's worth a try but it's unlikely I'll be back anytime soon. Maybe to pick up the steak dish. Beside that, Trendy Vegan offers really good Asian cuisine at a more reasonable price point.

It's a grocery store that has a hot food section with dining and ready to go prepared foods. They also sell banh mis but I heard they've changed a bit. They used to have a tofu and mushroom one that was so perfection. Big pieces of tofu and mushrooms marinated in this delicious sauce. Now I heard they use a tofu and mushroom loaf that is made in house. They also have noodle soups and Vietnamese dishes (com tam, vermicelli noodles, etc) but I go for the deli style lunch box. For $11.75 you get a choice of rice (I've seen brown and purple) or noodles (I always get the noods) plus 3 choices. And a small veggie soup. The lunch box options rotate, there are some items that they have more often. I always get their green beans and I try their various tofu options. Recently they had an eggplant stir fry and it was delicious. There is also an ala carte section that has dim sum items. I love their turnip cake (law bak go). One order comes with 3 pieces and a soy sauce and a chili oil ($5.50). The grocery store has expanded and sells pantry items (noodles, rice, sauces, snacks, etc) as well as fruits and veggies and frozen items (fake meat items). If you are a vegetarian or just need a break, def try this spot. You won't regret it.

It's been about a decade since my last review of Govinda's shortly after they first opened so it's…read morehigh time that I finally update that review after being a repeat customer over that time. Lots of things changed but Govinda's largely stayed the same. The decor hasn't changed but there is some wear and tear on the walls. Still clean, food still reliably good and has the homemade taste. They change up the menu daily and now they have 3 all vegan menu days to the week: Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Plus, weekdays have a themed specials that aren't necessarily Indian. They post their menus online but weekday menus are posted the day of on their menu Instagram "ghmenu". Weekend menus are typically posted on Thursday. They are still a buffet so service is minimal but it is pretty good but no frills. Unfortunately, they got rid of their salted lassi years ago so they only have mango lassi now along with mint lemonade for cold drinks. Price has gone up as well to around $18 (a little more for holidays and weekends) per person but that's to be expected. Carry out is $16.95 per meal (large take out container plus a soup, roti, salad, papadam, and dessert). You can opt of out of items but you'll still pay the same price. In the past decade, I still love their food but I can no longer eat as much to make it worth it to dine in so we've been getting take out (we took a brief break from buffets but I missed them so we went the take out route). One take out meal lasts me 2 meals at home so it's a no brainer (husband finishes the take out container in one sitting though). Plus, I have kids now and they definitely aren't good eaters so it didn't make sense for them to eat in. Over the last few months in Houston, we typically go once every 2-3 weeks because my picky kids absolutely love their saag paneer. I got them al a carte saag paneer ($10 for a half container, $5 for a half container of rice, $7 for a small container of an entree) until someone there suggested I just order an entree because it's the same price but you get more. And their plastic containers are limited. I started doing it but then one day, the main guy (manager?) wasn't happy since the big container was just rice, saag paneer, and maybe a little bit of dal makhani. I was a little miffed because if we ate in and all they ate was saag paneer, it would be okay. That aside, I noticed someone mentioned food allergies. The reason why I order Al a carte and segregate their take out container is because my youngest is allergic to wheat, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, avocado, pineapple, and kiwi. Their food is usually labeled but I like asking to be sure. On days they serve something that contains nuts, we just don't go (unless it's only in the dessert). My kids usually like the same things and we only go on non-vegan days. The general consensus is vegan days' food tends to be spicier. My youngest is okay with spice, but my eldest who is super picky won't eat it if it's too spicy. Plus, I love their makai kofta. If I'm in town and I see they have makai kofta, we are THERE. However, I noticed that their menu isn't always set in stone. One day, they didn't have my favorites but we went because I didn't want to cook and THEY HAD MALAI KOFTA. I was so pleased. If you love potatoes, their batada vada is divine (but moderately spicy). I also enjoy the BBQ tofu but they usually only offer it on vegan days so I haven't had it in a long while. They have special menus on holidays but they're vegan so I have unfortunately never tried any holiday menus. We moved but when I'm in town, we make sure to drive up north to eat here at least once. We absolutely miss Govinda's and my kids ask for their beloved saag paneer even when we're not in Houston. I should ask if they can part with the recipe! Haha.... We ordered catering in 2024 for my eldest's birthday! Even the non-vegetarians enjoyed it and you get a lot of food for less than $500. You choose from certain dishes but it still covered many of my Govinda favorites, if not all. Honestly, we'd do it again just for fun with close friends and family and have leftovers for at least a week after splitting it up with everyone. Price has probably increased though.

The grounds of the temple is well manicured and neat with flowers. A big red sign read, "Govinda" was positioned so that I wouldn't miss it. As soon as I walked in at lunch time, the restaurant was damn near empty with only two families. The host immediately sat me at a table front of the buffet line. There was a strong lingering smell of pine-sol and Mr. Clean in the air. Of course, that indication told me that the restaurant was clean. The items on the buffet line was plenty, but limited. I got the rice, tofu curry, chaat marsala, and some vegetables. Everything except for the chaat was bland. It wasn't very easy to eat while the smell of cleaning supplies was in the air. It reminded me of sitting in a bucket of cleaning chemicals while eating a meal. The tofu curry tasted only like turmeric, but no salt or pepper or anything. The rice was super bland. The chaat marsala was very tasty and well seasoned. I finished off with desserts which both options were tasty. I hope to return to try their holiday menu, but I think today was a bad day for the cooks.
