Philly Steak Primo with Grilled Onions and Cooper Cheese
    TC V.

First time customer. I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak Primo. Added Grilled Onions and Cooper Cheese. I love old fashioned style hoagies. They were on point and Bread toasted was perfect! I cannot wait to go back. Reminds me of traditional ones I had as a kid. I need to bring my mom the next time I go. Keep this place bookmarked!!

Oh man did I love the Italian hoagie my husband shared with me. The seasoning was great! I loved the bread very much! That Meatball Hoagie really did hit the spot for me. The service was great even with one staff member present. I feel like it's one of those hidden gem places that not too many people go to it since there's so many restaurants around here. I'm glad we found this place.

Audiablo- really good! Added oil and vinegar.

I love a good hoagie! I'm glad I finally gave this place a try. I ordered online and did a pick up order on Sunday at lunch time. First off, the primo size hoagies are huge. They are at least a foot long and full of meat, cheese and veggies. I could have shared mine with someone. They seem pricey but for the size it, it worth it. We ordered the Italian and the Audiablo. Both were good but I preferred the Audiablo way more. The Audiablo is turkey and roast beef and had Italian seasoning. I added oil and vinegar. There was so much flavor. The Italian was packed with deli meat and cheese. I would have liked it if I didn't have the Audiablo to compare it to. I'm already thinking about football season and Super Bowl and ordering from here.

1st time here and the subs where really good. Service was fair. Ambiance was average, nothing special. I got the Primo Turkey & my girl got the Primo MeatBall.

Primo is not bad at all. It's been a million years since I was on the east coast and had a "hoagie" from here. Ultimately this place can make a sandwich every which way. The deli meats/cheeses used are good. Cut super thin. Served nice and chilled. Not like some other chains that warm/heat/toast their subs. It's called cold cuts for a reason folks. Serval tables lined against the wall for your dining needs. Only issue is beverage products. I prefer coke. They offer Pepsi. Overall good experience. Friendly staff. Worth trying. Just hope someone opens one up in the cinco ranch/cross creek/Fulshear area.

Recently opened near us. Nice staff. Sandwiches were decent but most definitely not worth the price.

I have ordered from the PrimoHoagies on Washington several times before, and I've been waiting for this one to open! I ordered a whole Italian sandwich for pickup, and I was not disappointed! As usual, the quality of the food was excellent, the bread was fresh, and there were no problems at pickup. One of my favorite sandwich shops!

First time visit - ordered the Soprano! Totally did not disappoint. Fresh, great flavor! The place was very clean, great customer service. Will be back to try a cheesesteak.

I toyed with ideas of the most non nutritious food to order because I felt I deserved it. Something comforting. I decided on a Philly cheesesteak and fries. This was my first time ordering from Pappa Geno's, but I have considered it before. I was going to order from Miller's Cafe because I like theirs, but I get much more from Pappa Geno's. I like that their cheesesteaks are traditional footlong size on a soft hoagie. The Pappa Geno's steak and cheese was filled with thinly sliced steak, melted cheese and mayo. I added mushrooms to mine. They wrap it up in foil paper to keep it nice and warm. If you're really hungry, you can eat the whole thing. If not, you can eat half of it and save the other half for later. The meat was seasoned and on the moist side compared to others. I've been to both rival cheesesteak places (Geno's and Pat's) in Philly, and I thought this was a nice alternative for Houston to have. I think I still prefer the thinly sliced steak flavor from Miller's Cafe. The side of fries are crispy with almost a breading on the exterior. Same fries as Piper's Cantina, if you've ever been. I'm not that into breaded fries like these, but it was good and was a large portion. The sandwich itself is on the pricier side but a decent portion. I'd like to try their other Philly cheesesteak options or add hot oil peppers like the Wicked Philly. Pappa Geno's is a great option if you want a more authentic Philly cheesesteak fix.

Not all of them are made to be compared--some are just totally different styles, and that's not a bad thing. I've been wanting to try this spot for a while after seeing the debates about who has the best cheesesteak in Houston. The only thing that held me back was the location. I finally made the trip--and I'm glad I did. First off: customer service. Let's be real--food trucks sometimes don't deliver on this, but that was not the case here. Super friendly and attentive. It made a big difference. What I tried: * Chicken cheesesteak with shrimp - Delicious. Messy, cheesy, and indulgent. If you're someone who likes your cheesesteaks loaded with toppings like lettuce or tomato, this might not be your thing. But if you're into a bold, no-frills kind of sub? You'll love it. * Philly steak eggroll - Fire. * Fries - These were wild. Battered like fried chicken, perfectly crispy. I might honestly come back just for the fries. * Corned beef - Served Midwest-style, and the meat was on point. Tender and flavorful. Bottom line: I really enjoyed this place. It's not trying to be like everyone else--and that's exactly why it works. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd absolutely return.

So when I decided to give Angelo Z's a try, I came in hopeful but ready to judge with the precision of a seasoned shrimp connoisseur. First, I'll give credit where it's due: the place is designed beautifully. Clean, inviting, well thought-out décor. The staff? Top-notch. Friendly smiles, fast service -- the kind of welcome that makes you want to pull up a chair and stay awhile. But then my shrimp po'boy arrived. And that's where things took a turn. The bread was toasted -- yes, toasted -- which, for a Louisiana po'boy, is already a red flag. To make matters worse, it wasn't even the traditional French bread that's light, airy inside, and has that delicate crackle on the crust. Instead, it was a dense, over-toasted loaf that crunched like I was chewing on a roofing shingle. Then came the real deal-breaker: I bit in and realized the shrimp hadn't been deveined. At all. And for anyone who knows seafood, that black line running down the back isn't some "seasoning" -- it's grit and waste. One glance at that and my appetite clocked out. I understand I'm not in Louisiana anymore, and I'm all for creative spins on classics, but there's a line between "putting your own twist" on something and missing the fundamentals altogether. Unfortunately, this missed the mark in a way I couldn't overlook. Beautiful space. Wonderful people. But for me? A shrimp po'boy that isn't deveined, on the wrong bread, and toasted into oblivion isn't a po'boy worth coming back for.
