Everything was fresh, and the lemon pepper wings were fried hard just like I like them. The sweet tea was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. Definitely stopping by again when I'm in Houston!

STAY AWAY! What a…read moreweird experience, came here for dinner as I had been traveling all day. I ordered a Philly with a Brownie to go. When I got my food back to the hotel, I found a long black hair in my food. I called the place where they insisted this was my hair and nobody there has black hair. I clearly did not eat the sandwich. I had ate the Brownie and ice cream and drank the coke, but after an hr or so threw everything up. Weirdly, to get the refund for the botched food order, I had to text images to the owner who debated that it couldn't have came from his store. When I texted him about the Brownie, he wanted me to prove by playing in the throw up there's Brownie chunks in it. What a weird experience. Planning to call the health department to report this place. In a interesting text, the owner had shared within the same time of my order with hair, another customer had called in complaining about black hair in their food. Not sure what is happening here, but I'd stay away. Since throwing up the brownie, I'm fine so it was something they ate doing here, stay away

Service was great as well at the window I can tell it was a fun atmosphere in the back of the truck. 8.5/10 if the fruit punch was available and the Philly cheese steak wasn't salty it'll probably bring it to a 9.5 (Ate in the car since it was nice and hot forgot the photo! )

They have French fries, but I didn't get them because I thought they would be cold by the time I got back to my husband's room. The kicker? There is an all the time deal that is buy two sandwiches, get the second half off, which brings the price of two sandwiches to only $9.67 before tip!!! One of my favorite sandwiches in all of Houston. PrimoHoagies is my kryptonite. I can't tell you…read morehow many times this place has been my cheat meal. My order is perfection: Italian with vinegar & oil, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and hot peppers. The Italian comes with prosciutto, hot capicola, genoa salami, and provolone cheese. The signature seeded bread is tasty all on its own, but also crusty enough to hold up to the mayo/vinegar/oil situation happening inside. Adding hot peppers gives it just the right amount of kick to keep things interesting. And even though the sandwich is basically as long as my forearm, it never feels overly heavy or dense while you're eating it. I always tell myself I'll just eat half. Next thing you know, I've devoured the whole thing and I'm sitting there pretending to be shocked. Their sandwiches are simple in the best way. No gimmicks, no unnecessary frills, just good bread, good meats, and the right balance of oil, vinegar, crunch, spice, and salt. Houston has plenty of great food, but a proper hoagie is not always easy to find. PrimoHoagies scratches that itch perfectly. If you're in need of a proper hoagie, how can you go wrong with a place literally called PrimoHoagies?

The muffuletta was made to order and took less than 5 minutes. It was served warm and was SO GOOD! Layers of meaty, salty goodness accented by the brininess of the pickles and olives. I easily finished half the sandwich for lunch and will likely have the other half for dinner haha. Their whole muffuletta is the priciest sandwich on the menu, but could probably reasonably feed 2. Angelo'z also offers rotating daily sandwich combos-- order the sandwich of the day and get chips and a drink for $10. Chip selection includes Lay's, Zapp's, and Kettle. If you're in a rush, many of their popular sandwiches it seems, are available to be grabbed from the case. Also in the case are a variety of sides, like deviled eggs or pasta salad... cookies and cake for dessert, too! COVID safety: all employees wearing masks and hand sanitizer available. Some seating inside available. Next time I'm craving a sub sandwich, I'll be sure to be back!
