I have eaten here about 3 to 4 times. I stared off loving them but slowly realized the meat quality is not well. I had to switch the meats when I got home, what is the point of getting a sandwich when you don't like the lunch meat that comes on it....

Was that the restroom?!

This place is a sandwich shop that time forgot! Overall a very chill ambiance and a mom and pop shop feel. The folks fixing the sandwiches were very helpful and made recommendations. Looking forward to making another stop in the near future. They close by 4, so come before then.

Amazing local sandwich shop celebrating 51 years!

A true Spring Branch hidden gem! Open for 51 years, their sandwich expertise shows. Just a simple small sandwich shop, but the service felt like true small-town southern hospitality. Ordered an egg sandwich and sliced ham and cheese sandwich- the total for both was under $8 and they were the best sandwiches I have ever had! We will definitely be back and you should stop by and grab a sandwich if in the area.

Cheesesteak Sandwich

A buddy of mine dropped off a Philly cheesesteak and it was exquisite to say the least. The size was perfect. All the savory flavors, from the warm cheese to the fluffy golden bread, perfectly complimented each other. Almost made me forget how much I hate Philadelphia right now. GO STROS!

Order or grab and go here.

I'm really glad to support my local businesses. Definitely another Spring Branch gem. You can easily drive right by this location and not even blink. As already mentioned before, it's a definite "grab and go sandwich shop." I agree. I usually gravitate toward the 9" Italian sub but just started trying & liking the Philly Cheesesteak which is always hot and cheesy. This location has adapted nicely to Covid 19 procedures and still deliver the same affordable sandwiches that for some odd reason remind me of 'grade school sandwiches' which I thought were ok and somehow liked regardless their simpleness.

RUN to get the Roast Beef sandwich. Seriously, the BEST!! I also got the Famous Tuna but it has nothing on their Roast Beef on French. I also got the pickled jalapeño and it was not spicy at all. The pimento cheese helps with the spicy taste. Mom and pop with a second location.

Grab and go cheap lunch ..... no tables .... Sandwiches.... Chips .... Drinks .... Cookies .....

Really good sandwiches for really good prices. I read someone else's review & agree completely. You don't come here for some spectacular sandwich or fancy meal - you come here for a good ole, homemade sandwich. They're very well priced as well. You can get two combos for roughly $8-$10. The snobby girl at the front however .... If you can get past her rude demeanor and lack of personality; its a great place to grab a quick bite. Don't mind making conversation with her, it'll only give her a chance to ignore you more. My family and I have been coming here for years. Definitely a favorite.

Food was good. Older man and young lady were nice but the younger male that worked the register was rude.

It is not easily visible from the street but there is a sign on Gessner that will help you find it. Inside it's a counter service restaurant. I wanted a cheesesteak but had a little difficulty finding it on the menu because it's located under the heading From The Grill and there it's called a Philly Steak. For a place that has cheesesteaks in its name I thought that it should have a section with that name somewhere on the menu. So I ordered a Philly Steak for $9.99 and added an order of fries for another $3.49 along with a canned soft drink. The food took less than 10 minutes. The sandwich came with the requisite meat, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and provolone cheese all on a soft bread bun, it was very good tasting but I wanted more content inside the bun. The Philly Cheesesteaks that I have had in the Philly area had more meat, cheese and everything else. I would have gladly paid $2-3 more for that. Like I said, very good tasting but give me more filling! The fries were large crinkle cut ones and were served hot but they were also a little soggy in the middle. Perhaps undercooked? Finally they charge extra for a credit card without any signage I saw other than when the clerk ran up the bill. I wanted to give a 4 score but have to go with a 3 instead.

I'd love to dine in with the family cause the restaurant is very spacious on the inside. We ordered a little bit of everything-the pho (with tai and bo vien), fish sauce chicken wings, the grilled chicken with rice, vermicelli noodles with beef, grilled pork banh mi. We really enjoyed everything but my personal favorites were the grilled chicken with rice, fish sauce wings, and the vermicelli noodles with beef. So simple but so full of flavor and delicious!! I also got a cafe sua da and added the pandan cream. It was really really good. I was pleasantly surprised. Can't wait to go back!!! 5 stars for food and service! Great addition to the neighborhood

Love the peanut sauce too! * ribeye cheesesteak banh mi - I really like the warm and fluffy bread, the flavorful ribeye and grilled onion together makes this so great. Next time I would order it with extra meat. * large special pho - nice portion, authentic flavor * Vietnamese iced coffee - strong just the way I like it! Will be back to try other menu options.

So I have tried the regular Caesar sandwich and the cojito- def love the cojito it's a bit of a Tex-Mex Caesar salad taste. If you don't have very many locations aren't exactly established yet in the city you're trying to plant in, and a patron comes in and says it's their first time, some recommendations and signature dish items would be nice to hear. There were a lot of staff on this Sunday afternoon, but didn't really see there was much effort into the overall experience. The food station was dirty and messy, there were gnats flying around our food where we were sitting, and when we got our zeppelins, it was drenched or drowning in the dressing and th overall sandwich was overly salty because of it. I ordered the Mediterranean Cobb and held off on the blue cheese and subbed feta. The grilled chicken literally was so chewy and tasted like rubber I had to spit it out and then pick the rest of the chicken out, this place is NOT cheap. Quite pricey for a large sub stuffed with a salad. If you're paying $15 for a sandwich, you expect to get quality ingredients. The chicken was not edible. Staff just stood around and would chit chat, not really attentive or maintaining the restaurant very well. I'm willing to give it another shot maybe and try their salad...but I'd heed on the dressing and ask for it on the side.
