Wow!!! The best steak night ever!!! Cooked perfectly medium rare. We had mashed potatoes and cream corn -- mixed them -- dynamite!!

Wow! Seriously the best ground beef crispy tacos. How do I even describe it properly? The "crispy" shell wasn't crunchy - it was just the right level of crispy to crumble as soon as you bite into it. The shell was also seasoned perfectly to complement the rest of the taco without being overly salty. The filling was generous but also appropriately proportioned in terms of beef to cheese to lettuce and pico ratio. Every bite was complete and a wonderful flavor bomb in my mouth. I inhaled 3 of them, and it was the perfect size for lunch. I'm full but not going into food coma. 3 for $12 totally worth it. I'm going to have to follow this truck around Houston now. read more

Based on the reviews and word of mouth from those in my apartment complex, the burgers are what you should order here. Large, juicy, flavorful, it's what their known for. Sadly when I arrived, all the burgers were sold out. I settled on their chicken flautas with the guacamole topping. I liked the flautas with the texture and flavors and the guac added a nice touch. However while eating them, it made me wish I had one of their burgers since I felt the flautas were identical to any Tex mex place. If I see them here again, I'll definitely be one of the first in line by any means necessary! read more

When I ate here, they were parked outside of the Houston Museum of Fine Art. I got The Hippy and a Mexican Coke. The Hippy was everything a burger should be. The bun was toasted, and the patty was pink on the inside and so juicy that it endangered my shirt. The cheese, mushrooms, and Hippy Sauce blended perfectly with the absolutely delicious beef, and even without fries it kept me full for the next seven hours. This truck was at Cidercade today. We go study at the common desk next door to Cidercade and often stop at the food trucks. Don't get me wrong, the food was great. I got the holy guacamole combo, I tried a bite of the steak quesadilla, and we split the mozzarella sticks. Everything came out in a timely manner. But... The burger was pretty small (even though delicious) but was $16 and about the size of my hand (I have small very hands). The quesadilla was small for being $15. And the mozzarella sticks were just regular freezer motz sticks (but very crunchy). They should be embarrassed to charge what they do for a burger! Does $12 for a veggie burger sound reasonable to you? What about $15 for a cheeseburger that's maybe on par with a $5 fast food burger? If someone else didn't pay there is all of zero chance I would ever pay those prices even in a restaurant. Absolutely a ripoff, and certainly no hippy egalitarian ethos here. Lunchbox Hippies is so yummy! I got the Hippie burger combo and I don't know what it's their hippie sauce but I'm so glad I asked for extra! The combo came with Cajun style fries (perfect for this Louisiana girl). I've also had the chicken taquitos and those were delicious as well. The burger combo is more than enough for a meal, but if you're a big eater, I recommend the taquitos as an appetizer. Keep rockin, guys! read more

Their burgers were to die for - absolutely the best tasting REAL ANGUS we've ever had!!, Even their fries were awesome and crispy!
