Everything we ordered taste good and appetizing . Just need a little bit of improvement. For 2'person we ordered: Chicken satay... it's dry and bland, flavor needs improvement. Mango sticky rice have enough sweetness, i like that but a little bit dry although it top with the coconut milk but i can tell it's dried up and not fresh serve from the rice cooker or whatever they cook it. Tamarind fish, the crispy-ness is right with onion deep fried toppings. Dipping is too thick but good. Penang Curry- right amount of spicy-ness. That's a five star for me. I really like the green curry with seafood. Tons of scallops, large shrimp, fish and shellfish mixed in. It doesn't come with steamed rice so make sure to order the basil fried rice on the side. My favorite delivery place while working from home! The food here is always delicious, packed well, and delivered promptly. Portions are very generous. Here is what makes them special- I usually order a Thai iced tea with less sweetener. Today I ordered food for delivery, but I forgot the Thai iced tea. They delivered my food, with an ice tea and a note saying it was complimentary, AND they remembered I prefer it with less sweetener! I love good Thai and have been looking for a good place since Han's Place and Jana's Place closed years ago. We have tried a bunch of local Thai places, some OK, some not-so-OK, now we found a place we like. This place has really superb red curry duck - lots of not overcooked duck, eggplant, and pineapple in great red curry. I like it extra spicy and their extra spicy is perfect - not just burn, but spicy flavor. I really like the basil Thai fried rice. Well, with those two dishes I am set, but if you need some more suggestions the spring rolls are superior, as is the pad thai. I also really like the Tom Yum Soup. Oh, and the Thai iced coffee is delicious. Pre-Covid we used to eat in, but now use their own website to order (not doordash) and then pickup. They sometimes get a flood of orders, so we now order an hour or so ahead and specify a pickup time. This has worked out to avoid any delays. read more

Thai food has been a favorite comfort food for our family. Koon Thai Kitchen did not disappoint. Tom Yum soup was perfectly seasoned and not too spicy. A must on a cold winter evening. Thai chicken Wings served with sweet and sour sriracha chili sauce was a perfect start. Can never go wrong with Pad See Ew, a very popular Thai noodle dish. Very soft, and chewy rice noodles pan fried with choice of meat and lots of vegetables was always a must. Last but not the least, their mango curry shrimp dish is a perfectly blend of curry spice and the sweetness of the mango. Worse delivery experience ever. Had to wait 45 minutes with 10 to 12 other people with no updates from the staff or the kitchen when the food would be ready. Was told 20 minute delay on arrival. Then 25 minutes later, still no food and asked for an update (had to wait in line to get the update), and the staff left and did not return. I went here on recommendation of Yelper friend Celina Y. They had a lot of items and diversity on their menu. I am a fan of Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried rice. I had placed a to go order for a Papaya salad. The Pad Thai with Shrimp and Pineapple Chicken Fried rice was also part of my to go order. I had picked up the order and didn't realize till I got home that the Pad Thai was Chicken instead of Shrimp. The dishes were all good and beware of the cashews if you have anyone with nut allergies. The gal was friendly but busy when we picked up our order. We will be back for a dine in experience because it looks spacious and had a nice ambiance. So disappointed, really bad Beef salad. Took one bite... Yuk. I don't think the beef is supposed to taste like that, it was really off. Not fresh, wilted look like beef jerky on a plate of wilted lettuce. I was afraid to take a second bite. My BF chose this place for a random Tuesday dinner date and I was absolutely pleased. I'm always a bit hesitant with new restaurants, but upon entering..you notice the beautifully adorned lamps and golden touches that make you feel like you're in a Thai restaurant. We were sat down immediately and given water right away. We decided to order the egg rolls (4.95) and Sapporo (2.95) on the happy hour menu. The beer was brought over right away with a cold glass (as it should be). And, the egg rolls were beautifully presented. We ordered the Pad Thai w/ chicken & the Peanut Sauce Medley. It only took about 10 minutes for our food to arrive. We were stunned at how well it was presented and how delicious it looked. The Pad Thai was perfectly seasoned and the peanut medley was absolutely delightful. I didn't wanna stop eating..but I had to cuz I was stuffed. Turns out, this place left such a lasting impression on me that I decided to go back for dinner tonight. This time, for takeout. To start on a positive note the fried rice was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had but nothing really wrong with it. But the Pad Thai was pretty bland. Didn't have any really notable flavor. It was neither on the spicy or sweet side that most lean towards. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and probably try them again at their restaurant instead of delivery. I'm editing my original post because I want to be more objective. Yesterday around 7pm I decided to order Thai food. I checked the estimated wait time for a pickup order (35mins). I mulled it over because I had some errands to run. I decided to opt for an 8pm pickup time because 735pm was too soon. My order was accepted. I then got a notification later on that it would not be ready until 810/815pm. Okay, no big deal. I show up to pickup and very casually I'm told it'll be another 10 mins because it's still not ready. There's no apology, just a "we're busy." If a restaurant is going to allow customers to select a pickup time, they should ensure they honor the time. There was plenty of time for them to plan ahead, regardless of how "busy" they may have been. It seems to be a reoccurring theme with other Yelp reviews. Also, an apology would have gone a long way too... not just a blasé, I don't care attitude. I then get a comment back from the owner. The owner took the time to look at cameras to see what time I arrived and left to prove I only waited 1 hour. I originally estimated a longer wait period but they don't care that I should have eaten dinner closer to 8pm instead of 9PM by the time this ordeal was all said and done. If the owner put that much effort into customer service from the get go, there wouldn't be Yelp reviews needing justifications. I really hope there is more training for servers going forward about customer service and better planning practices in the kitchen for orders with a scheduled pickup time. In the end, my order wasn't what I had come to expect of them. The owner then told me I should have gone back or called if my order was incorrect. I wasn't interested in a refund or going back to wait longer. I wanted something warm in my stomach as it was getting pretty late for dinner. I will say the food was tasty and good. I reheated one of the orders after getting home and it was still good. I get some restaurants are having a hard time with staffing levels at this time, but that's not an excuse to let customer service go to the way side. It saddens me deeply that the change of ownership and changes in general to this spot ruined the restaurant for me. This place used to have Thai AND Japanese food. The food quality used to be better. Now it's just Thai food, and mediocre thai food at that. If you get the Pad Thai you will be disappointed. Just opened 2 weeks ago and loving it so far, been there 4 times so far and every time the food came out fairly fast, the people are friendly, but the restaurant is only as good as its food and let me tell you the food is awesome, their lunch special is such a bargain and their pad thai is delicious not to mention huge on the portions. Their soups are also very good great for the winter or when you feeling under the weather. PS: To those people who are rating this place one star because of mistakes and slow service, give them a break! it's a family run restaurant and they just opened, mistakes will be made, don't rate something 1 star when you only had it once or only as take out. read more
