Terrible customer service. Actually, to be honest, no customer service. I was looking for bedding in-store rather than shopping on-line, which probably would have saved me tons of aggravation. I searched and searched for my item, but I was not successful. During my 45 minutes that I'll never get back, I walked around looking for help and eventually found someone in the shoe department who paged for assistance. I returned to the sheets and continued to wait. As I waited, i started thinking about how retail is failing to internet shopping, and then I decided on another avenue. Why not call the store and ask for a store manager. No one picked up. That also proved to be fruitless. I heard the paging system, but still no one came to my assistance. I walked to customer service to ask, yet, again, but that yielded zero satisfaction. Store personnel showed up but quickly disappeared without asking about my issue. I have the VP of my company coming in tomorrow and I want to look sharp. I had ordered a suit from kohls and it hasn't shown up - not a big deal. I came in to grab a new all black dress shirt. They're having a deal right now: buy one, get one for $1........but I could only find one. I went to the register and asked the young lady. She looked at me like I was talking in code or something. I thought this place was great when they first opened... But since the Mervyns down the street went under their prices seem to steadily climb higher and higher. Everything seems to be on sale but if you research a bit you'll realize that the $XX.XX that you're saving 40% on is grossly overpriced. To the point that you can get a similar, if not the same items at other stores for less money than Kohls sale prices. Beyond that it seems like what I see in ads is never in stock in the store. I found a set of socks in the men's dept that was priced at $17.00 along with more mem,s socks.when i went to pay for, there was no where to see as the casher rang the. When the receipt was printed, i saw this particular set was for female. I asked the casher ro remove this. she said, "no mam, i cannot do that. You have to go to upstairs to customer servuce to reveive refund!" I could not believe that she could not rdmive this purchase during this transaction! I felt like this is trick being played so that i just give up and pay for! I went to the service dept, the line had over 20 people waiting to be serviced! Incredibly nice staff, lots of hellos and how can I help you interactions. Has everything the other Kohls in the area have. It can be a bit messy, but that's because patrons don't pick up after themselves. My only suggestion is the womens bathroom needs to be cleaned and make sure there are toilet seat covers. read more

I would have to say this place is OK, nothing special but not the worse I have been in. It is a clothing store, and if you need something to look nice in I am sure they will have it, or if you are looking for comfortable clothing, good place again. I am not going to go out of my way to come to Kohl's as I have plenty of other place to go to that are closer and about the same cost for clothing. If I am in the area, of course I will drop in to get what I need. I profess that in my younger years I probably would not have purchased stuff from here? Why? The stigma of shopping at a place that was what Mervyn's used to be in the 80s--a department store that offered decent prices for the masses. Now that I'm a little bit wiser, I've started to entertain the fact that Kohl's actually has pretty decent quality stuff, and a price that is within reason. They have decent khakis and t-shirts. On occasion for the choir at church, we're supposed to wear certain colored dress shirts, so I pick them up here and don't feel guilty for buying something so outlandishly priced. So, yay for Kohl's for having clothes that are decently constructed and doesn't make that huge of a dent in my pocket. - 1 star for being so difficult to get in and out of the location being right by the 17 offramp and merging from Hamilton can be a bitch. read more

This place is a mess. Don't get me wrong, I love Kohl's- they always have sales and great deals, but dang, does cheaper have to mean less professional? Every time I go to this store, they seem greatly understaffed. It is rare that you are able to find someone on the floor to help you. The line is always atrocious! Wrapped around the corner and sooo slow. They never had more than 3 people at the registers at a time. Now, I can understand being understaffed, but the staff they DO have are not always the friendliest. Sometimes the elder adults who move more slowly are a breath of fresh air compared to the gross, rude younger staff who carry i personal convoys with each other while your standing there. They have horrible attitudes about "by taking their lunch break yet", I see the like is crazy long "but I'm off in 10 minutes and I'm leaving". I don't tend to shop at Kohl's a lot. Not sure way, maybe it's due to me never really finding anything that catches my eye. Although I have from time to time find something, rare but I do. I do however love their Elle brand line. The new LC line is good too. I do support their Kohl's Care program, they sell books for $5 which all the proceeds go to children charities. They have the Eric Carle books for sale right now, which is way I went in to begin with. The draw back was the Looooong line, and that seems to happen every time I go. I think they need to add more cashiers. No one likes to wait in a long line for a long period of time. read more

This one's for my mom. Seriously. She worked at a Kohl's in Folsom for over a year (quit after my daughter was born). As far as retail chains go, this one was pretty decent to its staff...if not a little overzealous about the whole "we are Kohl's" thing. But I digress... I frankly loathed this place the entire time my mom worked there. Hated the clothes, hated the shoes, generally hated the whole damn package. Then I had a life-changing conversation with two friends at a party a few weeks back. Both showed up looking uber-fab -- cute shoes, cute tops, cute pants, the works. The conversation drifted to their outfits...and they let me in on a little secret -- they picked up the key components at our local Kohl's courtesy of the new Simply Vera line. I was pretty resistant but they steadily worked on me until I left determined to pop in and see what all the fuss was about. The verdict? LOVE the Simply Vera line (bought two pairs of shoes, a top, and a sweater). Interested in the Food Network 11-pc stainless steel cookware set in the hopes it comes down a few bucks at which point I will snatch it up. As for the rest of it? Blah. That said, I'll be back....I only wish my mom still worked there so I could benefit from the excellent employee discount! Oh well... read more

Being a new homeowner comes with a lot of tasks. One of them is decorating and furnishing with new stuff and sometimes it's not cheap. I stumbled into Kohls after going to other house decor stores. I was so impressed with the house stuff they have. The selection of frames and wall decor that have is great and inexpensive. Sometimes they have this awesome 60% off sale on their photo frames and kitchen stuff. Needless to say that's when I purchase most of my things. I am a huge Christmas fan, Kohls has a BIG area where they sell a ton of stuff for this season. And I think they also have stuff for every holiday. I bought some patriotic 4th of July place mats once. I would recommend this place for starters. Everything is very organized and clean. read more

Kohl's is great. It has the what you needs when you are at home and need to go to work or whatever a life you have with or without kids. It reminds me of a Montgomery Ward (if you are young enough to remember) but it doesn't have all the yard appliances and that junk. The worst customer service ever and they don't answer the phones when you call. Received an email that my online order needs to be picked up today however if I needed an extension date to call and make arrangements so that's what I did and within six hours I received an email that my order had been canceled due to no pick up. The extension I was told was for an additional two days. After being on the phone for 45 minutes on hold one of the associates picked up the phone and when I explained to her the situation she said was yeah so it's not here. read more

(Lingerie on the second floor: I found a Maidenform bra in the clearance section for $4.20 and a Wonderbra for $7.20 so I bought a bunch of 'em). This review is mainly pertaining to the Kohls Care for Kids Program. Amazing options here: every stuffed toy and book offered via Kohls Care for Kids is $5 each. Plus, all proceeds go towards charity - hard to beat this additional incentive. Some of my nephew's most favorite toys have been purchased via this program...not to brag or anything, but we know that some of them are his favorite as he takes them to bed with him. These include: Curious George Monkey - one of my nephew's first inanimate 'friends', from the age of 4 months - no longer available at stores :( Max the Duck - daily bed-time companion Brody the Dog - another favorite, which my nephew refers to as either 'Doggie' or 'Bow Bow' Also purchased the following, added to my nephew's collection of 'friends' (aka stuffed toy playmates) - Mommy and Baby Rabbit - Moose Kohls also has a discount card. I will most likely not be back to this location. Somehow every time I come here there are no more than 1 or 2 cashiers. Today I waited at returns for 20 minutes due to one person processing them and now I'm waiting going on 15 minutes downstairs to check out with 20 other people and 2 cashiers. I needed to pick up a pair of shoes since my current pair is falling apart. Unfortunately my pair was also discontinued by Nike. Luckily there is a similar model they make and is sold at Kohls. unfortunately, this was the only Kohls in the bay area that had my size. This Kohls isn't the closest to my home but they had what I needed. The previous night I was at a different Kohls and the placed two pairs of my shoe on hold for me. Unfortunately the night staff at this Kohls put the wrong size on hold. Fortunately, they still had my size in the back which I purchased so all was well. One of the things I like most about Kohls are their discounts. The shoes I purchased were regularly $65. They were on sale, plus I used a 30% off coupon, plus I used $10 in Kohls Cash my wife had earned from a previous trip. In the end, I got the shoes for more than 50% off which is partly why I purchased two pair, one for work, one for every day. read more

The past 3 or 4 times I've tried to shop at this store have been so frustrating and, literally, painful. Inadequate signage means I had to wander all over the store to find things. I have a disability! I couldn't find a sign or a person who could direct me to the shoe department. My god! At very least, put a directory sign near the escalators to give us a clue about which floor to wander around on! By the time I found the shoe dept. my legs were so sore and I was running out of time that i was barely able to try anything on. No sale for you. BEWARE OF TRYING TO GET A JOB AT KOHL'S CAMPBELL! Tried to work for Kohl's, "hiring process" took a month and nothing happened. The only reason why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because my mother likes to shop at Kohl's. Applied to Kohl's at the end of June 2018. Got in touch with the manager about getting a position. Sent an online application, but there were issues in the system so I could not even get an interview in the first place. Kohl's needs to get better software and fix the bugs in the system to ensure applicants can actually get an interview. After trying twice, the manager said he would take things into his own hands and help me get hired. A few weeks have passed, and it is now July. Suddenly, he resigns as manager and goes to another company without saying anything, and tells another person to take care of the hiring process. Got in touch with this person, still takes a few weeks and there are no further developments. Then, the person says I can meet with the new manager. I do, and I put my hours down and he said we can get in contact in about a week for the next steps. I also mentioned that I would be going on vacation before, and he made it seem like I could still be be put in for a position with that in mind, but I may have varying hours. 2 weeks have passed and it is the beginning of August. I call up and ask about the job, and says we cannot offer you a position since you are leaving for college soon. If this happened quickly and efficiently, then maybe I would have been hired earlier so I could work a longer amount of time. In addition, somehow it was the system once again and a job cannot be offered since the online system apparently determined I only had a month left until college. The manager could have notified me about this possibility, but did not. It seemed like he would be ready to offer me a job, but I never got an email or call saying I did or did not get the job. The new manager also said that they want longer term seasonal applicants which is why I may have not gotten hired. He never mentioned this in the meeting before, so there was lack of detail in that. This whole process was a waste of time, and some things should be fixed. It would be great to know if the old manager was leaving, which never happened. I had to text him personally to find out. Also, communication was a huge issue, as I got very late responses and I could never get transferred fast enough on the phone. Advice for Management- It would be great to finish hiring an applicant before a manager suddenly decides to leave the company, as there was some lack of interest from the new people trying to continue the hiring process. It would be great to inform applicants about the caveats of the application process, since there was no mention of not being able to get a job since I would be available for a short amount of time. Other places have offered jobs even with a month or two months of work. When I first met the new manager, he talked as if I can still have a chance to work even with that short time frame. In addition, the manager mentioned that it would take a full month to train and get acquainted with the work around the store? Other places take a week to train, so there seems to be something odd about that. Overall, if there is a transition in management or a new hiring procedure, try to go about it in a better manner than leaving the applicant hanging. It would have been better to say we cannot offer a position earlier, rather than telling an applicant to apply and having him/her wait over a month. Don't tell the applicant we cannot hire him or her since the applicant will work for a short amount of time, since the management was the reason why the process took so long, and that there was barely any time to work because of that. read more

I shop at Kohls because Im a single middle aged man and it is an easy place to shop and they always have deals. But i made a big purchase which gave me a $30 cash coupon, I then used that to make another purchase. I went to return some items from both purchases and they reduced the cash coupon amount to $10 (because I no longer purchased enough to qualify for $30) and then they gave me another $30 cash coupon. That means they stole $20 from me. I told the clerk and she said "we paid you what you paid" but thats a lie, they should have given me a $10 cash coupon back. Anyway, it was a nightmare to do the math in the first place, but given that the deals are actually pretty bad and the inventory is mediocre, I will just buy from amazon from now on. read more

Had the worst experience at this store. Came in to return a wrong item that was shipped to me by kohl.com and the employees plus manager treated me like I was a thief. They didn't check my order or scan the item to see if it was the same one that was sent to me. They talked to me like I was trying to cheat them by returning a different item then the one I ordered. Hello!! This is why I'm returning the item!! It's not my fault I ordered a series 3 Apple Watch but kohl sent me a series 1 Apple Watch instead. Customer service was rude, lied, n tried sending me to another store. They made up different store policies to not accept the returned item. I called kohl.com and customer service was baffled the store won't take back the item. They advised me to go back to the store but that's not going to happen. This store in Campbell is a dump and always has been. I purchased a shower caddy online and they sent me one that had been previously returned. It was missing the hex screws so I couldn't put it together. It also had a woman's fake fingernail mixed in with the plastic bags. How dare they ship something that isn't brand new in the box. If you want to make a return, make sure you don't go to any register, they'll tell you to go upstairs where you will linger in a long line waiting for a single employee (2 if you're lucky) to handle returns and online orders. I really do NOT like writing negative reviews. I try to keep it positive, but I also have to keep it real. I am posting this review in hopes that someone at corporate sees this and does something about it. It's not about how much things cost. It's about the whole entire customer experience when walking through a store. For instance: Did someone or at least one employee greet you? Where you able to find the department easily because of the store layout? Is the merchandise stocked properly? Did you find the atmosphere comfortable enough where you wanted to stay browse and shop longer? If you answer YES to all of this, then there is a good chance you will go back to that store, and perhaps even bring a friend to spend money with you! Well in the case of this particular Kohls I am sorry to say that none of it met my expectations and I've been in a lot of Kohls stores. It would also be different if these photos were taken after "Black Friday" or a huge sale was going on. This is not the case. In fact, these photos were snapped by someone and sent to me on a normal weekend evening about 1 hour before store closing hours. If I were only rating NINO in the customer service department, the store would get 5 stars. No, 10 stars. He was terrific. He was courteous, smart and helpful. NINO actually got the transaction completed, which two other employees immediately before him failed to do. He also apologized for all of the hassle I'd gone through with the other two employees, one of whom was in customer service and the other a manager. The manager, strangely, did not try to solve the problem. He just kept blaming me for Kohl's POS system not working. Weird, that. Not taking responsibility when you're at fault. I even proved the POS was not working properly, and he basically came up with some other reason it had to be my fault and left. I really don't blame the first customer service guy because he tried over and over to make the system work. It was the manager's attitude that discouraged him from actually solving the problem. I have always liked Kohl's, even though I have never thought they are necessarily the cheapest of places to shop, but I do think they are pretty reasonable, considering the quality of the items they have. But my latest visit has got to be the best shopping trip I have ever made! I was in the market for a casual men's blazer (sports jacket), and popped into Kohl's to have a look at what they had. They had an amazingly large selection of blazers, in all sizes & styles, and it was getting difficult to decide which one to buy - until my wife saw one in almost the exact size and colour I was looking for (a "soft" light green). It was originally priced at $160, and was on a rack that said 50% off. But then my wife noticed the stickers on the sleeve which said "90% off"!!! That would put the blazer at $16. Not believing it, I took the blazer to a price-check machine and YES, it was $16. Guess what's hanging in my wardrobe now?!?!?!?! Thank You Kohl's from a very happy customer :-) read more

On the 27th of Oct I had a item that I needed to have a price check. I went to the Jewelry Department where 2 female employees where gossiping. I ask the senior sales clerk if she would scan the price. She preceded to tell me the scanner is past the escalator to the left. I could not believe she wouldn't scan it for me. She preceded to get back to gossiping. I don't mind going to the price checker but when you are doing nothing and It seem like a inconvenient for her. 3rd time ever going to Kohls, I noticed that they sell the clothing at ridicules prices and the put a big sign that says 50% off, as if your getting a deal on a $80 shirt because it's 50% off. Also, does anyone else find it tacky that announcements are made over the loud speaker for credit cards sold? I hear " Good job Jason, blah blah bla.. who will be next?" 5 minutes later another one...I understand that staff has to be motivated but it just seems cheesy that they announce it in the ear of the customers.
