My experiences at check out were very different. with N: Judgemental face hidden behind mask, pretending no one picks her microexpression and energy, she deliberately emphasized on final sale and redundantly stamped on receipt even though "final sale" has been already printed on it. Girl, you think it's worth my time/energy/fuel cost to return $7 thing? And the psychological dread to come back to deal with your self deceiving fully emitting surly vibe? Do you own Nordstrom? Duh. The gatekeeping self-importance was off the charts. With S: A bliss of ease, peace and joy. The tranquil smile on her face was gold. Polite, easygoing and relaxed. Not a word of mentioning final sale nor stamping on receipt. She simply doesn't GAF. Got my digital receipt too. It was swift and smooth. It's the norm that most stores don't accept return on final sales. The more you accentuate it, the more contemptible it becomes. Even if customer attempts to return, so what? Stopped by today with a friend to do a little shopping. You never know what kind of deal you will find here. I love looking in their shoe department. You can usually find some really cute shoes for a good price. I was looking for comfortable shoes and I found three pairs that fit the bill. The line to check out was long but it moved quickly. I came here shopping with two of my friends. I wasn't looking for anything specific; but there was extra 40% off clearance shoes. I can't believe I end up buying four pairs of shoes as it was such a great deal that I couldn't resist. It is hit and miss at times for the deals and my size. I came in on a great day to find four pair of shoes that I fit and a great deal! I bought two penny loafers and two sneakers. One happy customer. The store is always a bit of a mess. Usually, you can find good things if you take the time to dig. I purchased some Paige jeans ($100). The following day I put them on to find a defect near the crotch. I called the store to see if I'd have a problem returning them and the manager said she couldn't promise anything over the phone but I could come in and they would take a look. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me... she gave me another managers name, Cameron. But refused to give me hers.... I said it's odd you're willing to give me another managers name but not your own... I called ahead because I hate returning things. I find it really embarrassing. Still the best Nordstrom rack by far! This location always has the best stuff and not only that but they have a variety. They also carry finer jewelry and just better inventory when it comes to shoes and designer things. I always manage to find treasure when I'm here especially in the clearance section! I've had a terrible experience every time I've visited this location, but today was the last straw. On a previous visit, a fitting room employee accused me of stealing--completely baseless and humiliating. Today, the same employee opened the fitting room door while I was changing, without giving me a chance to respond. She knocked, and before I could say anything, she unlocked and swung the door open. I was mid-change, clearly visible from the feet under the door, and even talking on the phone--so there was no way she didn't know someone was inside. When I confronted her, she didn't apologize--instead, she threw her hand in my face, gesturing for me to go away like I was the problem. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. The manager had very little to say beyond, "I'll train my staff better," which felt dismissive given the seriousness of what happened. Opening the door on someone while they're changing is bad enough. Doing it when it's obvious they're inside, then following it up with a rude and disrespectful gesture? That's beyond unprofessional. Check your receipt here! They don't know how to charge for items or some fraudulent activity. Be careful coming here as the cashier try to overcharge you 3 times for 1 and pretending it's nothing. After I catch it and told the cashier to provide me the total after my refund and they ignore my ask. The cashier just called out "next!" customer. I asked again and they told me to subtract the refund from my receipt! I got home and double check and they still charge me for an extra item. I knew something isn't right. Maybe the cashier charge me more than what I want to buy so they can take from cash register later with the extra fund. read more

This is one of the best Nordstrom Rack in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is still almost like the old days when most of the Nordstrom Rack stores carried the good stuff. It still has lots of goodies from the Nordstrom regular stores. More than most of the Nordstrom Rack in the area. I love shopping in this store. I feel like a bargain hunter again! Lol! I wish all the Nordstrom Rack stores are as good as this store. But I know it is impassable. Nordstrom doesn't have that many items to fill all the Nordstrom Rack. So I normally shop her frequently and have always had a good experience. Cashiers are friendly and the prices and deals are good (especially their once in a while 25% off red tag event). I was coming in to return an item that wasn't bought on sale that I just felt I had no need for. I kindly ask a worker as I entered here I should go for returns. He responds politely and points to a register at the far end that is separate from the others or tells me any one of the cashiers can administer the return. I wait at the register he pointed at for a minute then a woman named Clara comes up and asks what do I need (rudely I might add) then I say that I'm here for a return and she responded with the same dude tone "okay well did you wait in line". I respond no being that I had asked a worker and they pointed so I just was following directions and she tells me "well the line is right there". I tell her she doesn't have to be so rude and she laughs it off and then says again "well yeah the line is right there". After that I then decided to show her the same rudeness she showed to me before getting in line. I never had an issue it took about 5 minutes for me to get to the front of the line but I was just doing what I thought was the right thing after having asked a worker. I had the worst customer service I had ever experienced at any Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack yesterday. I went in around 4-5pm found a set of black pearls and the woman in jewelry showed them to me and I specifically asked if the additional 40 percent off applied. She said YES than proceeded to calculate the 40 percent off talked over and over about what a good deal it was with my friend right there and then we get the counter and the guy says it's not the additional. The manager came over was extremely rude said it wasn't additional and I told her the sales associate said OVER and OVER it was. The manager than brought the sales associate over asked her and she tried to be like ahh I don't know additional 40 percent is marked? She couldn't quite make a complete sentence and it was very clear she was lying cause the manager pulled her aside after to clarify. My friend watched the entire thing and was mortified telling them how she actually calculated the discount to me and said they had been there sooooo long. Not only was the manager horrible she embarrassed her worker than scolded her on the floor in front of everyone. The manager even went further to say there was an additional 25 percent off red tags yesterday but I missed it so although they employee said 40 percent off and there was an additional 25 percent off she would do absolutely nothing couldn't help me. I was under the assumption when a person tells you a sale price and calculates it they honor there world at Nordstrom. Typically Nordstrom is a reliable store that prides itself on customer service. This evening, I came in and found two items I wanted to purchase. When I got to checkout neither item has a tagged. The checkout associate asked if I could grab duplicates, to which I easily obliged. Then, the manager, Nicole walked by and claimed that the sweater I was trying to buy, exactly the same as the one with the tag except is was pink instead of white, was not for sale. I asked how that could be when the one with the tag had a sale price. She said there were "a lot" of new staff and that someone must have marked it wrong. I said that sounded like a store problem. She then went on to say the pink sweater (the one I wanted) was from a different season so it would cost full price if I wanted to buy it (redacting the not for sale bit). I again asked how that could be since it was exactly the same as the white one. She gave me a bizarre reason instead of trying to help solve the issue with me so I could make the purchase. I've been a loyal customer of Nordstrom because their customer service has been exceptional over the years. Tonight, and ahead of the holiday season, it certainly was not. My hope is that this review is read, noted, and that the problem is looked into and resolved. Additionally, a manager should take ownership and try to solve the problem versus blaming "new staff." read more

After being a favorite shopping destination for at least a dozen years, the Nordstrom Rack is now just a nightmare of a shopping experience. The store is disorganized and crowded with messy racks, the merchandise has plummeted in quality, and now I see they're being deliberately deceptive. Today I went to the store to return an online order and found holiday Nest candles and diffusers for 75% off, great buy right?! After standing in line for 15 minutes, I'm informed at the counter that the 75% discount doesn't apply to the candle or diffuser because they're beauty items, not decor. What? Have you ever used a candle or diffuser in your beauty routine?? LOL, of course not! Candles and reed diffusers are home DECOR, not beauty items. Nonetheless, the Rack would not honor the discount. As seen in my photo, the Nest home decor items are clearly illustrated as being 75% off. Would you consider this deceptive pricing?? I certainly do. It was my first shopping in Nordstrom rack and one pair of the shoes I bought didn't fit well so I brought them for return. They required a price tag which I already removed it. I wasn't thinking to return until later it didn't fit after I tried them. The lady talked to the manager and the manager said no due to no price tag. I don't return staff often and this is my first time rejected from returning things that I got in about a week. They told me the policy is on the back of the receipt but the font is so small and color is light which makes it hardly readable. The store is unorganized but I was ok since it is nearby. 09/06/2022: The store is clean and organized, considering they are in such a busy complex. We made the trip out here, during the excessive heat wave, this past Tuesday after lunch at Rong Bien. Originally, Santana Row was on the agenda, but it was way too hot to be outside. This Rack store did not disappoint. The plan was to get my friend some shoes for her trip to South America, and it was a success for the both of us. I hadn't planned on grabbing anything for myself, but ended walking out with ten items in total. Two sandals and eight out of the fifteen dresses I had tried on, for my trip to Asia. The price is a steal for the quality and brands that they have available. I managed to find all the dresses on two racks that were side by side, which the store made way too easy to locate and grab. All amazing material, and I had hoped that I would be able to return some, in case I had a change of heart. After trying and retrying for about three to four times, I just couldn't let them go back. Anyone else do that with their haul? Please tell me i'm not alone here. All the staff members, from the fitting room associates to the cashier, were all very pleasant to talk to. If ever I need to do another haul, I will be returning to this store for sure. 8/10 for organization and cleanliness of the store, fitting rooms, and restrooms. 10/10 for service. read more

This South Bay location is definitely a warehouse-sized Rack that's bursting at its seams with the many deals & thrills of an avid bargain-hunting shopper! I've always checked out this place during their Clear the Rack events throughout the year! The location is convenient in the heart of West San José, as one of the main anchors at Westgate Center - the primary retail, dining, and entertainment destination on this side of the greater South Bay region of the Bay Area! The parking is always easy as it surrounds the entire complex, in addition to being located in a safe & secure neighborhood - with easy access from both the 280 and 880 freeways - AND there's definitely something for everyone at this particular Rack! Don't let the long lines during the holidays and the Clear the Rack sales deter you from not checking out this place - it's definitely worth it & could save you tons of $$$ to get those gifts or things for yourself. I haven't seen a Rack location as big as this one, and their mens apparel/shoes area is definitely bigger than the locations I frequently visit, which makes the trek from the East Bay to the South Bay helllla worth it! The best times to come is during their Clear the Rack sales - who doesn't want an extra 25% off on those red-tagged items? (and that's a pro-tip for ya'll!) Never experience such horrible customer service before. Not only did the manager reprimand the employee for not following a rule that does not exist publicly. But they also stopped my friend from purchasing the Gucci loafers that he was ready to buy. They literally took them out of his hand and said he could not buy them. They made up a rule that they can hold the shoes for two hours and they told him he can sit around till the store closes and maybe he can get them. This is a Friday night. The most unprofessional experience ever.. then I talked to Andrea who is actually the sales manager of the store she took no accountability then kind of threw the other manager under the bus a little bit by saying oh it wasn't me. The "other manager" that was an assistant manager that made up with this bizarre rule. as the sales manager, Andrea is responsible. The fact that they abused a power and tried to reprimand their employee for doing exactly what he was supposed to do is wild. Esmeralda and Andrea are far from professional. The star should question their employment. What's wild to me is that I was literally reading the store policy on my phone. They insisted on lying. What kind of managers don't even know their own store policies and then try to throw the employee that is doing his job under the bus. The fact that they were publicly saying this in front of customers is unacceptable. I feel bad for the employee for doing his job. He handled the situation professionally. Great deals. Too bad they put a wall of candles at check out so if you're asthmatic or get migraines there is no way to not get sick when checking out. Looks like they have the diversity bandwagon on (there is a Hispanic month sticker) but diversity and inclusion includes disabilities including invisible disabilities where people have breathing issues from scented candles. Saw a wheelchair staff so good start.... Just remove scents from entrance / exit please so it complies with Title III of the ADA. read more

They now close entrance from mall side. How can the mall stay in business if the Rack and Target restrict access so you only enter from outside the mall? No one will who the middle store.
