IMHO Look! It's Dec. 20th and they are already merchandising for Valentine's Day!

This Marshall's always has a great selection. When you walk in there is always an associate there to greet you. I have been going to this Marshall's at least once a week since COVID and every time I go, even if I visit two days in a row, there is always a different selection of items. Their kitchen and dog section is always filled with a variety of options. They also have a decent selection of storage bins. They keep their store consistently clean and, for the most part, organized. This makes finding products easier as you don't have to sift through the clutter. They also have a pretty big section on clearance items in every section. Marshall's associates are well mannered and provide excellent service. They are always willing to help you find something off the shelves or in the back for you.

Marshalls has so many kitchen supplies for cheap. I usually check Marshalls before buying things elsewhere. The pots and pans are pretty high quality and you can get a great discount.

I've only came to this location a handful of times due to the nature of the surrounding area, I find it to be nice and welcoming. I travel a good 15-20 minutes to this specific location. As I'm traveling from Evergeeen (different side of town) it would assure you that this is a nice Marshalls, for sure! Which in fact, it is. However, Today I received MULTIPLE FORMS of HARRASSMENT from a Marshalls EMPLOYEE at the 535 Coleman Ave, San Jose, CA 95110 location. The employee was a male (5'5 tan with black piercings) by the name of HECTOR (self alleged Marshalls coordinator). I had been in the home department, toward the back of the store with with a couple items in hand, with my friend.  As I'm looking throughout the isle my friend asks me if they have restrooms here or where the restrooms were at - but taken to consideration that I'm not familiar with this location I hadn't known for sure. I figured I could ask the two employees that were behind me if there was a potential restroom here that she (my friend) could use. At the time, the two employees - both HECTOR and a female were taking stuff off a gray rack and putting it away or something of that sort. I told my friend that I would go ahead and ask if they had any restrooms here that my friend could use. I face towards the two employees with their back turned and say excuse me. I wasn't too sure if I had been heard due to my distance and them both having ear pieces in. I begin to take a couple steps forward again, asking "excue me" not only to be blatantly ignored. Once again I walk a few steps more in which I'm sure I can be heard at this distance. I say another excuse me. Opon greeting I get faced with an unwelcoming look from HECTOR. I didn't think twice about it because I was really just trying to find my friend a restroom. We are told where the restrooms were with attitude that I hadn't caught but my friend did. Trying to continue my shopping, I redirected my friend to go use the restroom so I can go back to my isle and decipher if the pen holder was worth the $7.99 or not. I really wanted it!! I go back to my isle and almost immediately I begin to hear HECTOR literally mocking me to his coworker saying "excuse me, excuse me like we didn't hear you the first time". After hearing that I felt totally disrespected. I decided it was only right to address HECTOR about his mockery of me. I walk up to him asking for his name. He answered Hector, after that I had asked if he was the store manager and he claimed to be a Marshalls "coordinator" Then I tell him "I don't think it was nice that you were mocking me" and he claimed that I was acting like he didn't hear me the first time and I explained myself that I hadn't known both him nor his female coworker had heard because they still had their backs turned away putting items back from a go back tray or something of that nature. Regardless, if I was heard I could've been acknowledged. HECTOR then begins to say that I think I'm all that and claims that I am and I quote "boujie". Right after that claim from HECTOR I immediately register his comment as a discrimitory remark. I replied asking "boujie how" in where he didn't have an answer because I've been nothing but respectful. He then starts to get in my face, inches away, continuing to put me down and make claims of myself that I was acting like I was "all that" and being disrespectful as if I was some nuisance to him and his coworker. I then call him a lame for his actions and walked away. He began to come up to me and questions "who I think I am" saying "your stuff is probably fake". At this point I decided to stoop down to his level and degrade him by insulting his employment as well as calling him poor. At this point HECTOR gets so close.. PLS LOOK AT PHOTOS

Love this place. There is ALWAYS something cute in the housewares section so I practice some serious self-control. Great deals on quality stuff that is up to 50% more elsewhere. Looking for something specific is a hit-or-miss but if you're in a "surprise me" kind of mood, this place is fun! They re-stock every few days or so!

They mainly sell vintage and modern secondhand clothes, bags, and shoes for women and men, but they also have new pottery from a designer called Familiar. The store is spacious and carefully curated. There is no thrift shop smell and it looks more like a cute boutique than a secondhand store. You can sell your clothes there, too. There are two floors of women's clothes and a separate men's shop across a little courtyard in the back. Most of the customers when I was there were young adults of both sexes. The store was busy on a Saturday in the late afternoon. Fortunately, they have a dedicated parking lot behind the shop with plenty of spaces. The staff welcomed me immediately when I walked in. I was interested in looking at purses and they had quite a few vintage and newer ones from designers like Coach, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, and Dooney & Bourke. I didn't buy any, but enjoyed checking out what they had to offer. I didn't pay too much attention to the clothes, except to notice that women's pant sizes on the second floor only seemed to go up to size 11/12. If they had bigger sizes, I didn't see them. Overall, I was impressed with Black and Brown and would like to go back.

It's very cute and very clean, and doesn't seem like a thrift shop at all. The young woman working there was friendly and helpful. I saw lots of little things I wanted to buy, like the tiniest Labubu I've ever seen, but didn't end up purchasing anything. Most of the clothes and accessories for females seemed targeted toward young people, but I'm glad I stopped in and checked out all of their cute loot. I bought a fleece skirt and wannabe suede tube top. Both pieces were $20-$22, but such a great deal! I lived that Baby Phat jacket too, but it was too small for me! Damnit! There's also a men's area towards the back of the store also, so make sure to check that area too! There were two employees working, when k went in on that weekday, make sure you bring coins or just pay via credit card to park, since all of Jtown charges for parking. I will definitely be back! $50 for an outfit I love! I can't wait to go home, wash it and wear it! They employee said if you post a pic of you in their outfit, to tag them on IG to be entered into some drawing for monthly coupon or something- I forget, but I'll be posting soon enough!!!

Donations When I did my last drop-off about a week ago, the gentleman running the donation area rushed over to help me with my bags and then gave me a receipt that was already filled out with the date/signature. The entire process took about 30 seconds - easiest donation drop-off ever. Shopping I've found so much great stuff here in almost every department (clothes, furniture, home decor, etc.). It's also more reasonably priced than other thrift stores in the area, and more organized as well. Customer Service The donation drop-off guys are really friendly and efficient - they go out of their way to make it an easy process. The store employees are equally amazing. Every time I go up to the register with a big pile of stuff, I'm apologetic and flustered about how much ringing up they have to do - but they're ALWAYS super nice and helpful. They literally never have a bad attitude or get annoyed, even when I take a bit of time to pack up my items or change my mind last-minute. I also appreciate the fact that they go out of their way to help me organize my stuff so I can get to my car easily - I'm a small person with some big purchases haha, so I really appreciate that extra effort they put in to make my life easier. While most were pricey, they looked like they were in excellent condition and some were reasonably priced. Not sure how thorough their authentication process is and how often fakes slip through. There were lots more lower end bags hanging openly on the walls, but they weren't quite as nice. I'll most likely stop in once in a while to see what they have to offer.

But doing so, of course, would be inappropriate, disruptive, and disrespectful to both the staff and the purpose of the machine. Attempting it would likely result in immediate ejection from the store, embarrassment on behalf of my wife, and damage to my reputation. If I want to do something like that, it has to come from a place of trust and responsibility. So I've decided on a different approach. I'll apply for a job there. I'll start at the bottom, maybe as a sales associate. I'll show up on time. I'll learn the product lines inside and out. I'll help customers. I'll take extra shifts. I'll support the team. When we have team potlucks I won't just sign up for paper plates and napkins like I usually do. Over time, I'll build trust with my coworkers and supervisors. I'll demonstrate reliability, consistency, and good judgment. When opportunities for promotion arise, I'll take them seriously. I'll accept constructive feedback, complete training, and become someone people rely on. Eventually, I'll earn a leadership position--assistant manager, then store manager. Managers stay late for many reasons: end-of-day reports, scheduling, stockroom organization, vendor calls, or something mundane like doing a full count of shoelaces to reconcile inventory discrepancies. One night, when the store is closed and no one else is there, I'll complete my duties. And then finally I can put my butt in it. But, for now, it's just feet. Ri helped me, with her patience, friendliness, and knowledge earning the store five stars. The scanner said I was a size 12 even though I am a size 13. It undersizes. For this reason I decided not to stick anything else in the scanner.
