Huge selection, very bright and neaty organized store (even the sale racks), friendly staff. I was greeted once I walked in. I like the store layout. Value was good, plenty of original price items, also 2 to 3 racks of on sale items.

If you need help finding the right size, Cindy is your girl! My daughter and I stopped in on Friday just to browse, and Cindy made it such a fun experience. She helped both of us find the perfect fit and made it all feel effortless. We're so glad she was there!

(Ryan Reynolds voiceover and shopping incognito at Valley Fair Mall) The vibe is fab boutique for chic sports apparel! But I was there on a mission to get a sizeable manly bag for travel and athletic gear to use that same evening. Yes, men have needs. And the truth was I wanted to impress the ladies with my gym bag. Nothing says man like a Lululemon gym bag. Isn't that right, ladies? The item on the display mannequin caught my eye. Sleek, robust, and most importanly fashionably Lululemon! It felt sturdy to the touch. She'll do. Perfect! Caitlin warmly greeted me. (Love that distinctly Irish name.) Pure. My intent was pure. Pure resolve. I was not going to be distracted from my objective to leave with that bag. Just as I was asking the young lady for her assistance, another male patron started caressing the bag. No doubt he appreciated the fine construction. But duelling has been outlawed for some time and so I was wondering how we were going to nonverbally settle the issue. I mean, what would Deadpool do? Caitlin came to the rescue. Without hesitation, she deftly swooped in to release the bag from the mannequin and handed me the product. Wowza! The service! I mean she made me feel very VIP just like Ryan Reynolds...wait. As I absconded with the product to wait behind the oversubscribed cashier line, Nadia warmly whisked me away to the side and facilitated my check out! Another VIP touchpoint! Wow! I ran back to thank Caitlin one more time, but she was gone! No doubt she was somewhere in the crowded boutique surreptitiously helping another customer before it came to blows. Will come back again. (Maybe tomorrow for a pair of yoga pants.) Woohoo!

Busy store. Service is nice and not intrusive. Products are tidy and easy to look around the store.

The cloth is of outstanding quality, and the workmanship and sewing are superb. The buying experience was easy and pleasurable because to the helpful and kind customer care. Anyone searching for stylish, superior women's apparel should definitely check out this brand. Without a doubt, I will return to shop here!

They mainly sell vintage and modern secondhand clothes, bags, and shoes for women and men, but they also have new pottery from a designer called Familiar. The store is spacious and carefully curated. There is no thrift shop smell and it looks more like a cute boutique than a secondhand store. You can sell your clothes there, too. There are two floors of women's clothes and a separate men's shop across a little courtyard in the back. Most of the customers when I was there were young adults of both sexes. The store was busy on a Saturday in the late afternoon. Fortunately, they have a dedicated parking lot behind the shop with plenty of spaces. The staff welcomed me immediately when I walked in. I was interested in looking at purses and they had quite a few vintage and newer ones from designers like Coach, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, and Dooney & Bourke. I didn't buy any, but enjoyed checking out what they had to offer. I didn't pay too much attention to the clothes, except to notice that women's pant sizes on the second floor only seemed to go up to size 11/12. If they had bigger sizes, I didn't see them. Overall, I was impressed with Black and Brown and would like to go back.

I love that it offers a true boutique shopping experience without the boutique price tag, and I can usually count on finding something I love. Unfortunately, my experience today (3/18) fell short of what I've come to expect over the years. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted, which is something I've always appreciated in the past--it really sets a welcoming tone. Jocelyn eventually helped me into a dressing room, but along the way there were several missed opportunities for basic customer service. I was browsing with my arms full, and at no point was I offered help holding items or starting a fitting room, which would have made shopping easier. When I was ready to try things on, I was asked to sort and count my items due to the 6-garment limit. I completely understand and respect that policy as a way to manage inventory in a small business. However, during that process, a few items fell behind the counter and weren't addressed at the time. Once in the dressing room, there was no check-in to see how things were fitting or if I needed different sizes or colors--something I've consistently experienced and appreciated during past visits. I did ask to swap out items, and Jocelyn was helpful and pleasant in doing so. At checkout, the items that had fallen behind the counter were brought up again, and I was asked if I wanted to try them on. Since I was already dressed, I declined, but it would have been helpful if those had been handled earlier. There was only one other customer in the store, who had already checked out by the time I was in the fitting room, so it didn't seem particularly busy. I've always associated Bombshell Boutique with attentive, thoughtful service--being greeted, having items held, and receiving support in the dressing room. That level of care makes a big difference and is part of why I've been a loyal customer for so long. This visit just felt a bit lackluster in comparison. I'll definitely be back, but I hope this was just an off day.

I know this is the Bay Area, but I'm not about to drop $100+ per piece at a DTC brand without seeing it in person first. (My mom dressed me in clearance JCPenney and hand-me-downs as a kid.) I've been inside this specific store twice and the one in SF once. The day I made my purchase was a weekend, whereas my other two visits were on weekdays. On weekdays, the store is pretty much empty. I think for shopping in store at Sezane, that is the preference. My biggest peeve with both the SF and SJ stores (and I assume this is a feature of all their stores) is the cubby wall. They could have put multiple racks in that space, but instead they have a massive wall of cubbies with a different style in each cubby. They're all folded, and I was told you need to point out an item and have the employee take it out to show it to you. The same employee then has to find your size and refold and put back what was taken out. This is literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a clothing store. What if I want to see every single piece? How do I even know what the fabric feels like, or if it's sleeveless, or if it's a sweater? You don't, unless you've memorized the Sezane online catalog and know exactly what you're looking for. I could just feel the employee's annoyance every time I asked to see a new style. I would have LOVED to browse more, but the store was very busy, and I didn't want to be a burden. On the weekend day I finally bought something, there was one cashier and there was a line rapidly building behind me as there was a customer who had some sort of involved issue. There was no backup cashier called (not sure they have that capability), and we all just had to wait. I also really wanted to see some dresses in person, but they barely had any - maybe 3 or 4 styles whereas they have a lot online! The clothes are beautiful and maybe if you are shopping 1:1 with an employee on a less busy day, it could even be fun!
