Sales person today 11/5/24 at 830pm. I was shopping around here looking at clothes. My 5 year old special needs son needed to use the restroom which they have in the back. We asked politely to use it and asked for special needs & disability accommodation. The sales person very rudely said it's not for public use. We had a few big events coming up and were in search of the first "adult" business suit for my 16-year old son. In fact, we were heading to another store, but decided to stop by at J.Crew. I am so glad that we did! As we walked in, we were welcomed by an amazing woman, Sara, who immediately helped us find the size and model that we needed. I really like this store for the most part. It is very clean and well organized. Clothes are always displayed very nicely and not to mention that the quality of their clothes are very good. The staff here are always friendly and helpful. They'll help you find your sizes and answer any questions you may have. They have a security that is very nice and very social. She's always giving me positive feedback about my outfit, which is really nice. Haha! Anyways, the only thing I didn't like about this store is that it has a relatively small selection of clothes and they don't have carry any petite sizes in store. One star because of a recent policy change. I received a J. Crew top as a gift and needed to exchange it or get a gift card because it wasn't the right size. The SA told me that since September 17, 2010 they changed their policy about being able to return/exchange anything without some kind of receipt. He said he would need the information for the account she made the purchase on. I told him my friend lives in Southern California and there's not way she can come into the store to give that information, so I asked if I could get the information from her over the phone and give it to them. He said maybe, but he still has to check with his manager to see if the manager will agree to it. I am not faulting the sales associate because he was polite and was only doing his job. I just think J. Crew is pretty lame for instituting a policy like this. I'm sure there are a ton of people who purchase their merchandise as gifts and not everyone provides a gift receipt. This stupid policy offers no recourse for situations like this. After learning of this new change in policy, I am officially boycotting J. Crew. read more

I went her with my friend David to get some clothes for a fancy dinner or something he was going to with a bunch of important people. I was helping him pick out stuff but I mean I barely knew what I was doing cause I never shop for fancy guy clothes lol. Anyways we asked a man there for help & he was amazing. 2 stars for customer service - Not impressed with the customer service...I feel like cause I was wearing a hoodie I wasn't given the same customer service as if I was dressed nicer...a I'm in a mall on a Sunday and you don't know how much money I have. I was the only customer when I walked in and no hello can I help you even though the gal walked by me 4 times. Two other people right next me walk in desperate and she offers them help. She offered to look into this for me and I'm so glad I asked! I appreciated her friendly and helpful demeanor. My cashier was also very pleasant. My friend is the biggest fan of J Crew; he shops here at least once a week (if you can believe it). I've been with him a couple of times and I've always found J Crew to be really clean (except the sale section can often be a mess) and the sales associates really nice. Once while I was waiting for my friend in the dressing rooms, a sale associate came out and offered us water bottles. I really like that they seem to always be having a sale. It's a plus if you have a college student ID (or teachers ID) because you get extra 15% off a full priced item. :) J Crew seems to have a wide assortment of clothes...My friend has a bunch of flannels, T-Shirts, Chinos, shorts, shoes, etc. from them. I've always been a fan of J.Crew and I was glad I stopped by this store. The customer service was great and the style for the men's clothing was something that appealed to me. I love their button-up long sleeve shirts! The quality of it was excellent. I love how you pay for what you get. The prices are reasonable so it's no problem for me buying a couple of shirts here. I always use J Crew as my entrance to the mall but I never shop there. I needed a suit for a job fair that I was about to go to and was doing my normal stroll into the mall with Nordstroms on my mind. I looked around J Crew for a split second and realized I was in suit / business outfit paradise. I am great at picking out cute everyday outfits, but when it comes to dressing professional I am so lost! Thank goodness for Patty, a sales woman who came to my rescue. She picked out different outfits for me to try on and was by my side giving me such useful advice. I really didn't feel like she was just trying to make a sale. In addition to Patty, another person who was extremely helpful was Raj (sorry if I misspelled it). He was always there to give me his opinion and he also went to the worlds end to make sure I had my suit tailored on time for my job fair. The clothes are great, the service is great, the tailor is great, and the location is beyond convenient. Took my son to alter his suit which he bought online and MaKayla helped us this time as she has other times we shop this location. All smiles and eager to help. Great customer service! George, the associate that helped me out, went out of his way to find a pair of jeans that was my size - even going as far as checking the manequins themselves. Meanwhile he asked if I wanted something to drink. What? I've never had that nice of an experience at a clothing store before where I would be offered water while I try on clothes! Eventually, he found one, gave tips on keeping it looking nice, and suggesting their alteration service since the jeans were a little long. What a little niceness will do to me...he managed to get me to buy the jeans AND go with the in-store alteration. Overall, the staff is friendly and not overbearing and fake. What more can I say about J. Crew other than I'm biased and I absolutely love them? Yeah, it's that kind of love affair... a love affair that you only find on a two-way street. I've decided to finally write a review on this spot when I came here noticing that the place was going through a major renovation. Their temporary spot was nearby, and nothing has changed outside of the actual location. Customer service is still top-notch. These guys probably don't care about you, but they sure do know how to fake it til they make it. You'll come across some of the friendliest people here I swear to God.. Now, moving on to the bits and pieces of this review. Their clothes are freaking bomb. Like I stated in the outlet store, if you are a man trying to up your pimp game proper, you need to go to J. Crew. And if you are a girl trying to make your man dress better than his middle school days, you need to take his ass here. Prices are obviously the biggest kick here, but for those of you who are students, I believe they still offer 15% off with a valid I.D. I've always found great deals on flip flops and other items in the clearance section at the back of the store. Beware that the sale prices here are different from the one at the Stanford store. The times I've come in here, it hasn't been too packed. I came in not planning to buy anything...then I spotted their jeans and some shirts on sale...yeah, no bueno. I was holding a couple items in my hands as I was going through a rack of clothes and someone came up to me to ask if she could open up a fitting room for me. I know they're supposed to do this, but still, it feels good to have employees pay attention to you. I really wanted the jeans, they're just a bit too expensive. J Crew is awesome, love their sales but sadly... this place never ever has any small sizes left in the sales section. (Yes I usually shop for the sales section hehe) I have rarely made a purchase at this location, my purchases are mostly online if there are sales offer codes (sign up for their email and 25%, 30% codes will come your way!) I do have to say though that the sales reps here are the friendliest and the nicest compared to the other J crew locations. I do love coming here as they have the newest items available at this location if you spot something online but want to check it out in person first. I actually purchased the Majesty Pea coat in pink online but tried it on before here in the store, the sales rep was friendly and helpful in making suggestions without being pushy or making me feel rushed. As much as I try to avoid this place (I really need to stop drooling over the entire JCrew store... ) I really love their classic approach to style and the fit is awesome for Asians, and their Petite, Tall options are pretty great, too. read more

I don't normally write reviews for clothing chain stores, but I felt like I received superior service and attention from one of the associates here at this J.Crew location. I totally forgot her name, at no disrespect to her, due to my Alzheimer-prone memory, but she was a skinny Asian girl. From picking up four different shirts in sizes and exchanging them back and forth for me in the dressing room, she sped across the store like her life depended on it. I have always had a store associate ask if they can help or get me into the dressing room, but the personal attention I received even though the associate was so busy on this holiday shopping day, was nothing short of exceptional. Why the one star off? What Patty O. said -- the Securitas hired theft guards that slink and slither around the store are really good at giving the "Lord of the Rings" Sauron evil eye. The one guy that was working that particular day made me feel as if I was doing something wrong every time our paths crossed; was it my unfashionable combination of Chicago Cubs t-shirt and jeans? It's a retro tee for chrissakes! I felt so dirty, I WANTED to shoplift. Anyways. Walked out with $200 of great looking and good quality clothing. This store has its associates hired right, but seriously, get rid of the Securitas guards. read more

Wedding season is coming up and of course JCrew is the first place I think of for shopping. Upon arrival BreT came over and assured me. Shy though I was, I realized at how inept I am at shopping alone and therefore he became my personal shopper/advisor. And yes...I bought two suits because he just had that twinkle where I could not say, "no just one." He helped me get my stuff, even those not in the store he helped me order online for free shipping. An hour later, get an email claiming there is no stock of a certain item. Went back and Bret painstakingly called various stores, ultimately finding one-out of all places-in Seattle. Ironic. Although I have been at other J. Crew stores with a slightly better selection/ layout, this one has amazing service. George was a GREAT help. He quickly got me a fitting room, put the heavy shopping bags I was lugging around behind the counter, helped me locate some boots in a different color than I was looking at, and even offered to keep all of my bags behind the counter so that I could go get my car and not have to carry them all the way to my far-away parking spot. As I walked in I could see they were busy, but Brett still made time to check in on me. She had some good tips to share, somethings I was not aware of and she even found me a gift box. I hate to admit that I'm a J. Crew shopper, but I am. I usually go in and the sales associate George helps me out. By now I just talk to the sales people about the new items that have come in and things like that. I went in the other day and the fall stuff had just come in a little while ago. This time I was helped by a lady named Patti. She is a personal shopper there. Patti asked me how I was and if I needed any help. I told her that it was time to do my back to school shopping and she was shocked to learn that I was a teacher. After she bought my story of being a teacher she was quite helpful. I must admit that I'm the kind of person who will buy more if the service is good, and this time I bought more which bumps the rating from 4 to 5 stars. I didn't need a fitting room this time because I'm a guy and I know what fits me in J. Crew sizes. All right, I'm going to say it. I LOVE J Crew! LOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT. Best customer service EVER and the pants are so well-made and fit me like a glove! I'm a BIG online shopper and even though I tend to only shop during sales, I've never encountered any bad customer service. J Crew sales ROCK. Items are usually marked down quite a bit and are accompanied by extra savings if you wait another week or two. Another reason online is better than in store? More sizes. I have a petite frame and normal size J Crew clothes look funny on me. Unfortunately, most J Crew stores don't carry petite sizes (they do for pants, but that's normal and coincides with all the other brands that carry Short size), so online is my best bet. Now recently, their online site has been tinkered with (by them) and it has had some glitches when you add something to your shopping cart. What did they do? They sent an email apologizing for the glitches and ask for some understanding as they're revamping. Nice touch, I thought. After a few months, I decided to give the "new" site a try since they were having another huge end-of-the-summer sale. I purchased 4 great items and was very excited for them to arrive. BLAH. I get my order and 2 of the 4 are WRONG. Wrong like... not at all what I ordered. I was especially grieved because I really really really wanted this little black dress and they sent me an XL purple collared shirt. Whaaa?? The other item was just the wrong color. Being that these were "final sale" items, it was heavily noted in my package that I couldn't return them and the Smart Label that usually accompanies a package in case of returns wasn't included. So I called them up (their lines are open 24/7 which is VERY convenient) and explained my situation. They refunded me for the items I didn't receive (along with some shipping charges), tried to find that black dress I wanted originally but couldn't (sad sad sad), and are giving me free shipping for my next order. They're also sending me a pre-paid label to return the wrong items that I really don't want. It was incredibly easy, they apologized profusely, and I have never felt so good about something that went so wrong. So we go for Black Friday shopping and you can't even begin to imagine the crowds of people ... and please do not remind me of our nearly 2 hour wait for parking. But nevertheless, we walk into J Crew and I was so pleasantly surprised by the service here ... even on the year's craziest shopping day. If y'all are ever at Valley Fair and stop by J Crew, ask for June. She's probably the nicest, warmest, most helpful lady I've seen in retail ... in a long long time.
