Beautiful shop. I had no idea there was one here so it was a pleasant surprise to see. I had to stop by, but I did not have a lot of time. I was approached by a very friendly employee who asked if I needed any help. While I saw items I was interested in knowing more about, I was on a time limit and knew I wouldn't have time to even try anything on. I really wanted to do a quick walk around of the store to see what merchandise they had and to take a mental note. They had a live embroiderer near the dressing rooms who was embroidering things for clients. They also had little mini chocolate croissants with cute branded Sezane napkins near the shoe area. I think I was approached by two employees who were nice and personable. While I did not get greeted by others when I was in their area of the store. This is just a pop-up shop still -- its not a permanent location. There is one in SF apparently. I've been to the one in NYC and the pop-up shop in LA in the past. Sezane is on the higher price point, but I do still love the brand and would love to see more boutiques to visit for an in person shopping experience. I do believe that if you invest in pieces from this brand, they will be timeless, as I still would wear the items I purchased many years ago today. read more

I'll preface by saying the clothes are beautiful and feel high quality, and I walked out with two pieces recently that I love. I know this is the Bay Area, but I'm not about to drop $100+ per piece at a DTC brand without seeing it in person first. (My mom dressed me in clearance JCPenney and hand-me-downs as a kid.) I've been inside this specific store twice and the one in SF once. The day I made my purchase was a weekend, whereas my other two visits were on weekdays. On weekdays, the store is pretty much empty. I think for shopping in store at Sezane, that is the preference. My biggest peeve with both the SF and SJ stores (and I assume this is a feature of all their stores) is the cubby wall. They could have put multiple racks in that space, but instead they have a massive wall of cubbies with a different style in each cubby. They're all folded, and I was told you need to point out an item and have the employee take it out to show it to you. The same employee then has to find your size and refold and put back what was taken out. This is literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a clothing store. What if I want to see every single piece? How do I even know what the fabric feels like, or if it's sleeveless, or if it's a sweater? You don't, unless you've memorized the Sezane online catalog and know exactly what you're looking for. I could just feel the employee's annoyance every time I asked to see a new style. I would have LOVED to browse more, but the store was very busy, and I didn't want to be a burden. On the weekend day I finally bought something, there was one cashier and there was a line rapidly building behind me as there was a customer who had some sort of involved issue. There was no backup cashier called (not sure they have that capability), and we all just had to wait. I also really wanted to see some dresses in person, but they barely had any - maybe 3 or 4 styles whereas they have a lot online! The clothes are beautiful and maybe if you are shopping 1:1 with an employee on a less busy day, it could even be fun! read more

Very tiny, not much in inventory. Same typical lack of any sort of warm Welcome or greeting that I've come to expect from Sezane. I've been to perhaps Five Sezane stores, and this has, by far, the smallest selection. Passed by and was surprised to find a Sesane boutique in Santana Row. One sales associate was helping a customer by the sweater wall. The senior sales person was at the cash register area. No welcome in!! I sometimes like Sézane accessories. Their clothing is just too young in style for me - frilly with ruffles. Maybe they would appeal to college age women? Not a fan of their mohair sweaters since they have fibers that fly off into the air - such an eye irritant! Nothing caught my eye so I left. read more

Love this store! I haven't been to other locations but this one always looks organized and the attendants seem to be running around working hard helping all the customers. My first piece of jewelry i got here was a pomegranate necklace that i got alot of compliments for and it was a great price point. Today i wanted something everyday gold color so got the gold chain necklace. They couldnt find the original bag for the jewelry as i got the last one but they kept looking for me bc i wanted it and finally found me the last blue bag for it. I have the green so really happy i got the blue now. Customer service is so good here and i believe in the quality of each piece of jewelry or clothing! read more

Wish i could give these people 0 star. Store would not allow me to return a gift item for store credit that I don't have a gift receipt for. Cashier asked me to call the person who gave me the gift to ask for their email address/account. I said i'm not comfortable with that and he assured me that people do it all the time and nothing uncomfortable about that. I'm not sure who made him the enforcer of what's comfortable or not for others. Strange response. I explained to him he can examine the items to make sure it hasn't been used and in it's Original packaging as it's clear item is brand spanking new/unused and clearly theirs. He won't open the box and said sorry he just can't let me return with a store credit. So I told him that's fine please throw it in the trash for me and walked out. What a scam of a store! read more

I'm glad this pop up came to Santana Row, because I have a gift card to Sezane I've been wanting to use but wasn't sure about sizing. I headed over on Saturday and was able to try on a few of the pieces I've been eyeing. Because I had browsed the website previously, I knew that the prices were very high. The quality is hit or miss (there are a few particularly itchy sweaters), so it's great to have this option to be able to see the items in person. While most of the staff members were nice, I found one to be pretty rude. I know it's a pop up so they're only temporarily there, but it rubbed me the wrong way. Cold, guarded, snobbish, unhelpful and unfriendly service. That was the vibe i picked up. Only found out this brand from the teen rom-drama "This summer I turned pretty." Belly's Christmas red cardigan is such a head turner. But coming to this physical store is like dropping from fantasy to reality. Haha. The store has trendy color, chic cropped coat and classic handbag that totally turned my head. At not too crazy price. But, there's always a but. Their non existent customer service was a turn-off. The UN crew talked among themselves and totally ignored the entire store of customers, at least I didn't feel discriminated. Haha. Maybe it's the French way but I don't buy it. Thanks for the subliminally passive and arrogant attitude, that saved me a few hundred dollars from an impulsive buy. read more

This is my favorite Sezane location. I've been to the ones in Santa Monica and San Francisco, and they felt incredibly cramped and snobby. The worst part was how limited the clothes on the racks were, especially with respect to size inclusivity. This store was a breath of fresh air. From the design of the space, which actually encourages you to walk around and see more items without bumping into people around you, to actually having size large clothes on their racks--I finally felt encouraged to shop. Their accessories are pretty beautiful too. Something about the placement of their jewelry and shoes made me notice how cute they are for the first time. I also appreciate the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Things like this make me way more likely to come back to brick and mortar stores. read more

I was so excited that sezane is reaching Santana Row, but the store itself makes for a subpar shopping experience. The store is mostly white empty space with just a few small racks of limited items. They also did not carry enough sizes so that I could try on the size that I needed. For such a huge store I don't understand why the inventory is so limited. Having been to about five different locations in Paris the in-store experience there is not much better and I still largely consider this an online brand. I won't be visiting the storefront anytime soon. read more

So happy Sézane is now in the South Bay of all places! This store is well laid out and quite spacious compared to some of the other locations. The customer service is really good as well. I went opening weekend and it was a bit chaotic but the staff were calm, friendly, and helpful. They were passing out delicious mini cookies which was a nice touch. I hope they turn this pop up into a longer term or permanent location. read more

Dont understand the bad reviews. This is a great store. The folks and assistants are very helpful. I have went there twice and they helped me try different pieces that werent on the trial rack but they had to fetch from their store room. Hope and wish the physical store had more options similar to online stock though. The racks have enough space for more items to be displayed. I visited the store three times this week. I stopped in and found some leather sneakers I loved and purchased. Didn't realize until I got home that there was a stain on them so came back to do an exchange. Livia helped me with the exchange and assisted with a couple more pieces in the store. Before I left she let me know that their fall collection was going to drop this weekend and they would have complimentary embroidery in store. I had such a great experience with her that I decided to come back to get something embroidered. I did not have the same experience coming back unfortunately. The associates weren't as helpful and the embroiderer was kind of rude. I'm actually regretting my purchase as the quality of the embroidery is not the best. I originally asked for my initials and a heart in black and the heart red and she told me I could only do one color which I understood and chose one color. But when she was finished and showed me the embroidery she had the collar and bottom half folded so I couldn't tell it was crooked until I got home. I also asked if my initials could be in lowercase and she did them in uppercase letters. The font looked okay to me so I didn't say anything and just left with my purchase. But now that I'm home I realized the placement on the shirt is really high and crooked. You would think you're paying all this money on clothing so they would be a little more mindful, but they are not... I'd say if you do plan to get embroidery be very specific and double check the work. I was ready to leave a great review after my last visit but I'm pretty disappointed and don't think I will be coming back to this location anymore. read more

I made a special trip to the Sézane store in Santana Row today as the French retailer has been a favorite for several years. After selecting an item I approached the cashier's desk, credit card in hand, and was asked my email address. I provided the address I have used many times for Sézane online orders but was asked to repeat the rather simple address at least twice. Then I was asked for my rather simple name and spelling at least twice. Apparently the Sézane computer system was recognizing my email address but either there was a problem with my name matching or some other glitch in the system. Since all I wanted to do was pay for my item and be on my way I did not see why the cashier couldn't just take my credit card and complete my purchase. At this point a rather hostile woman, apparently the manager, informed me that if she could not get my account information from the system, any purchase would be considered a final sale and could not be returned if I changed my mind. The item was not on sale. Then she told me, twice, in a hostile manner, that she didn't like my reaction to her trying to help me. I thought that as the customer, Sezane's computer problem was not my problem and that as a customer I should not have been expected to wait an unusually long period of time while she dealt with a issue that I clearly did not cause. I also felt that she set a terrible example for the younger sales women that heard her talk to me so rudely. Needless to say, Sézane has lost a good customer. read more
