Went here a few times prior to this Christmas season. Found some nice gifts (felt overpriced but I was in a pinch for time) and love that everything is supposedly local artisan-level products. My issue has been the attitude of the one specific person who was working each time I went. Pushy as heck every time, following me around and talking at my back as I look at products- if I wasn't in need of gifts I would've walked out immediately. I don't need to be hounded as I shop. Couldn't answer simple questions based on what she tried to explain to me: Me looking at a resin platter. Salesgirl: it's so pretty isn't it? Me: it is but it is uneven when laid flat and the handles are different on each side. Her: Oh it can be "warmed up and flattened so it isn't uneven" if u "leave it in the car" Me: umm huh? Her as she quickly walks away: yeah or heat it up in the oven and like press down on it on the countertop. Me: Ok so what temp can it be safely heated to? Her from behind the cash wrap: just heat it idk. So do you want it or not? Me: no thanks for that price ($200) I would want to know what "heated" means. Sounds like it isn't very possible to make it lay flat without knowing the specifics. Her: well then don't buy it. Me: yeah i definitely won't. I expected a nice reply like "Oh let me check with the Maker and get back to you" or "sorry I don't exactly know what i'm saying but our return policy is.. and here is how to contact the Maker." Still bought about $300+ of products on that visit but wrote this review in my head before leaving as she shot me eye daggers as she rang us up. Won't be in again if she is working. Or maybe ever...made it all very suspect. read more

I've been to this particular store a handful of times and every time I go I find the perfect present!! This particular weekend I wanted to get something for my niece who is graduating high school as well as turning 18!! I found a really cute, simple necklace that was pretty yet unique along with some really nice earrings! Not exactly a matching set, but I bought them to not match. My niece loved them!! Easy $60 present and it was unique the lady behind the counter, even wrapped it in a cute little mesh bag. I had tissue paper at home so I added that to the little rustic brown bag to have a pop-up color and overall I will definitely be back!! read more

Very friendly, knowledgeable and informative staff. That's why I bought a bracelet from her. There are open markets throughout the year in the bay area for these talented artists to sell their products. The bracelet I bought was quite unique in my eyes, silver intertwined with copper, which also supposedly is good for preventing arthritis. Other Jewelries were Interesting and unique, different than the jewelries I've seen in other places. Would like to come back and check out more stuff. When the company changed the director my daughter was told she could no longer sell her press on nails because the new director didn't think it was art. This was very hurtful and unprofessional. The staff is always so nice and helpful, the selections are varied (from candies to a beard comb) and well organized (and so VERY reasonably priced ... almost shockingly so). The shelves are filled with some very unique offerings and there is lots to see despite the small size of the actual store. I'll be back again and again and again. read more

The products here are great, but honestly the service here is always off putting. No one greets you, to the point I've often felt there was no one in the space when I've come in. The times I've bought things, the employees have come off annoyed. Feels strange to have to ask to purchase your item when they're standing at the check out area and they seem bothered to check you out. Would rather buy straight from the artists than this store, but it's nice to check out when I pass by. 3 stars cause the store and products are nice, just pretty poor service that makes me not go out or my way to stop in. read more

I have been in this cute little shop twice now and I just love browsing! The staff is super helpful and friendly. I LOVE their lavender incense and candle selection- it keeps me coming back. My go-to is the location at Santana Row - With several large parking structures, you will not have an issue finding a complimentary parking space - And if you want to feel fancy, Santana Row also has valet parking available. The team has taken every Covid-19 precaution once re-opening the store after the initial shut down. They are only allowing a certain number of patrons into the store at one time {per county guidelines}, they have a sanitizing station upon entering that must be used as well as masks worn at all times by everyone. Makers Market is a cool Santana Row store filled with unique American-made gifts made by local crafts persons and artisans, that are actually affordable! I love their hand-made jewelry. A very sweet shop that focuses on small business owners, makers, and crafters. The store itself is very small but has a lot of options ranging from candles, seasonal items (drink mixes, etc.), jewelry, clothing, and self care products. I did not end up something, but my partner ended up getting this very beautiful small ring. Overall, prices were very reasonable. Looking at other reviews, I do agree that it would be great to know a bit more about the creators of the products. Can be something as simple as a small handwritten card next to their products or some bios on the walls. Overall, I'm very glad this store is supporting great creators/makers! read more

What a great boutique shop for tasteful, up-cycled, and precious accessories, apparel, and home goods! My boyfriend and I stopped in as we were strolling down Santana Row and I was instantly drawn to the delicate genuine-silver-and-gold rings and he spent a lot of time with the up-cycled leather duffel bags. The sales associates were super knowledgeable about the products in the store and were able to look up for me exactly what metals and stones were in the rings I was interested in buying. They also do farmers markets and events at each location once a month. The Santana Row location is their flagship, but they have other locations around the Bay Area like Napa. Pick up a postcard with the dates with a coupon for $10 off $50, which you can also apply on the spot at this location. This is a craft fair, not to be confused to the store with same name (although probably they behind the scenes). I have already attended several of these seasonal arts&crafts fairs and I am always pretty pleased with the quality of the products sold as well as the aesthetics of the plaza that have an European flair to it. It is not too big, so it is not overwhelming and super crowded, which makes it very pleasant for both the tourists and locals alike. You will find from local jewelers to essential oils, to henna designers to embroidery artists that create awesome handmade work that takes hours to finish a piece for incredible prices. A beautiful way to spend a Saturday morning. read more

I was excited to check out this store today because I was shopping for a gift for my sisters birthday. Unfortunately, the employee behind the counter wasn't wearing a mask, which made me feel uncomfortable and so I left. There is an indoor mask mandate in Santa Clara County currently so it struck me as odd that this wasn't being followed. It's unfortunate that there are some places that aren't following the public safety guidelines, especially given the current surge in covid cases. I probably won't go back. read more

Oh, I just love this place so much! It's a bit over my budget, but I so appreciate any space that is offered to small businesses and up and coming artists at the same time. Makers Market has a wonderful array of unique jewelry pieces, bags, home decor, and other items that you just can't find in big businesses or large store chains. Upon entering the store and looking at items you are interested in, you may take a look at the price tag and think, "AH" that is so expensive! But, when you take into account the importance of small business and providing fair trade and fair wages to individuals who are sharing their craft, it allll makes sense! It was nice to see recently that another Makers Market opened up at Valley Fair. I think it is a breath of fresh air that goes alongside big name business establishments. I then came to an area that had some unique camping cookbooks and was going to buy one, however the employee was still on that same call and not once did he acknowledge me. I was disgusted with the fact that he couldn't tear himself away from his call for 5 seconds. I won't be walking back into that store again. I came into this store today originally to look for a piece by Coco Chispa. Online, it had said they were a vendor for her, but I really didn't go in there with high hopes just because I know how quickly her items sell when she has available items for purchase. As I expected they had already sold out of her items at this specific location, but the associate behind the register was kind enough to see if any of the other locations still had her items in stock. I was so pleasantly surprised to find this store while wondering around Santana Row. Everything is hand made by American artisans/craftspersons. I was just looking and found a bracelet I really liked but it did not fit my wrist. So I asked the nice person behind the counter if they had a larger version. They did not in that store but he would contact the artist and see what he could find. Two days later I got a call that it was in and came by to pick it up. I really appreciate hand crafted items and good customer service. This store does not disappoint.
