What a shame, I was here shopping with my family. I was interested in buying a certain item but it had a slight bit of damage which I didn't mind. When I approached a cashier about possibly getting a discount for the damaged item, she approached her manager Kat, the manager went ahead and said they couldn't sell it because it was a risk factor, even though it was little to no damage on the item. I told him I don't mind the damage that I would still buy it when the cashier went to check again with the Manager Kat she didn't even bother to turn around Kat she responded by saying I heard him no when the cashier turned around to come tell us the manager again said don't walk away to the cashier. Such a shame to have a terrible attitude towards your employees and especially in front of customers.. read more

Christmas shopping season is in full effect and it can be seen in the store. The store is crowded and gifts are hard to find. I guess that's what happens when you wait for the week before Christmas, lol. Found some good deals on sweaters, housewares, baby clothing and pet items, because I have to spoil my pet too. I usually shop at TJ Maxx in San Jose. I was in this neighborhood on errands and decided to browse here. This TJ Maxx is stocked well and ready for holiday shopping. The workers were very polite and friendly to me. It was Halloween day when I was here, and the workers were all wearing fun costumes! The place is clean and the workers are very helpful. Was peacefully shopping at TJ Maxx today when a dog out of no where started barking really loud at a lady who walked by. It startled both of us to the point where I was genuinely frightened & shook. It was so unexpected it just completely ruined the whole experience for me. I couldn't get over the fact that the dog almost bit the lady. I don't understand why stores allow dogs inside in the first place. Unless it's necessary because of a disability animals should not be allowed inside shopping establishments. Not just for a peace of mind but for sanitary purposes as well. People put the animals in the carts, they go through the aisles sniffing things & sit on furniture. I think they need to rethink this & NOT ALLOW ANIMALS INSIDE! Lazy dog people take your pets to a dog park not a shopping center! read more

I don't know what's been going on with retail lately, but when my mom and I swung by to shop, I noticed that the men's section is very very bare. I was hoping to find some basics or something but I think most TJ Maxx stores only primarily cater to women now. I remember years ago I was able to find some dress clothes, a couple button ups and a pair of slacks for job interviews or parties but things have definitely changed. For all the men reading this, your best bet nowadays is Uniqlo. read more

Great selection and lots of options for clothing and household items. I prefer coming to this HomeGoods over the Marshalls/HomeGoods in Mountain View! Overall service is good, but I did have a poor encounter with a worker named Sherri. I was purchasing items for my friend's birthday and she asked me if I had a TJ Maxx card. I do but it was expired and I was waiting for a new card. She told me that I should open a new card since I'd get 10% off. I told her I didn't want to open a new credit card account, and she repeated MULTIPLE times that it was not a new credit card account and kept on insisting to sign up. After 5 minutes of back and forth, I finally said yes and I realized after that it was 100% a new credit card account. Very upset and frustrated that I was lied to. I think this is common among all TJ Maxx locations, so just be careful and don't believe any of the workers when they say that it's not a credit card account. Plus she forgot to give me gift receipts so I had to walk back into the store for her to print them off for me :( read more

I was in the area and decided to check out this location. I walked in and was greeted by lady in front of a bottle of hand sanitizer. I helped myself to a pump of sanitizer and walked right in. I was immediately taken by how clean, organized, and spacious the rows of items were. There was markers everywhere to keep 6 feet apart. I felt safe shopping inside the store. All the aisles have clear markers that it's a one way aisle but there were several customers who ignored this and would come into the aisle while I was trying to make my way out. I checked out the clothing area and found several quality items. I ventured out to the home area to seek some pots or planters but didn't find any until I went around the corner. I found this gorgeous woven basket planter with legs. I grabbed this and my clothes and headed to the register. While waiting in line I found some more goodies (couple books and some headphones). The line to wait has clear markers to stand 6 feet apart from the other customers. There's a microphone that lets you know what register to go to (excellent system to keep shoppers organized)! My cashier was friendly and efficient. They offer contactless pay making it that much faster to complete your transaction. I found more than what I was looking for as per usual but I'm very happy with my entire purchase and shopping experience. I will be coming back when in the area. read more

I went here because I was supposed to go to a celebratory party with a group of friends at work. I just walked by this plaza and was interested in going to TJ Maxx and Home Goods. I stopped here and it was spacious and very organized and the employees were nice. Good selection of goods and a lot of choices. It always gets better for HomeGoods and still love it. There are a lot of choices here on a Friday late afternoon. I guess their restocks are daily. I was still surprised there are a lot of good finds here. Clean store, very organized, and a lot of great stuff here to buy a gift, homecoming gift, or anything you need at the house, townhome, or apartment depending on what style you like. The manager by the name of Narissa is the worst. I found a pair of panties that was on a separate hanger and I wanted to buy that separate one, instead of all five panties $15.99but she said she couldn't sell it to me because it goes with the set . well we couldn't find the set. then she gets another man just dressed like a woman telling me it Has to be seven days to be sold to me a pair and why are they on the floor ? I must admit that this isn't my favorite location but every now and then, I find some gems! I mostly come in looking for gifts, toys and shoes. Inventory seems to be plentiful during the holiday season. Be prepared to wait in line for at least 15 -20 minutes on the weekends because this location gets packed. My wife bought a pair of shoes as a gift. They did not fit the person so we tried to return them but the cashier refused to return them. Marisa and Angelina said the shoes are worn inside. That was the same condition that we bought them. Of course all the shoes at TJMaxx are worn and tried on by hounded of costumes on the daily bases until they are bought. They did have a small selection of Snoopy items like mugs, t-shirt, and etc. Surprisingly, I did come out of the store purchasing some items. The store was definitely organized and clean. This used to be my favorite TJMax store but lately it seems to be understaffed or has scheduling problems. the lines are really long, they are calling for help, managers are not responding, customers are asking for them to get more help... poor girl up front keeps announcing, all cashiers come up front ... nothing. I love browsing in any TJ Maxx. It takes time to find anything here I agree with Sunil R but that's the whole idea- browsing their aisle and finding really good deals. Although it sometimes feel like carrying a gun with the pin pulled back and ready to shoot but you don't get to because nothing is worth shooting! just remember hold your horses and don't pull that trigger until you find a target worth shooting :) It's awesome when you do find a worthy target. One time I found a Tumi luggage that will originally sell for $500 and got it for $150 here. That was a once in a blue moon find. Awesome! Today I found three bottles of Angel cologne for men. I bought all three bottles! I sometimes use men's cologne and this is one of them ;) Can't wait for more surprises from TJ Maxx! This place is loaded! Their cashiers are friendly and helpful. Clean store and organized well. Tons of parking and several restaurants to choose from well within walking distance. A theater is nearby as well. Easy exit from 101 is one of the reasons I like this location. read more

In general, I love TJ Maxx.....They offer quality products at good prices. The store is well kept and well stocked. This time I was shopping for things for my daughter's home and I found it...a mandolin slicer and an automatic soap dispenser. I'm always amazed at the "stuff" they have. I had to only look at the rest of the merchandise since I don't live in Cali, it would be too hard to bring home. We were short on time, but I do recommend this store..,it's both TJ Maxx and a Home Goods store. read more
