One of my favorite Home Goods - a 2-in-1 with TJ Maxx! It's located in a plaza right next to the 101 freeway. There are lots of stores and restaurants around here including an AMC theatre, so there is plenty of parking. When you enter, it's TJ Maxx products and in the back is Home Goods. They have a good amount of stock in-stores compared to others I've seen in the area. Things are organized in my opinion, but I do wish there were more cashiers available. Definitely a must stop for me in the South Bay! read more

I love Home Goods. It's like one of my favorite stores. I can be here for hours if I wanted. Sometimes I grab something, take it on a walk, then put it back because we don't need another trinket. But for a brief moment, I owned it...in my arms, taking it on a walk.... L O C A T I O N This HomeGoods is located in the AMC Mercado Shopping area that shares a large parking area with various shops and restaurants. How this place has changed over the years! I'm sure folks still miss the MicroCenter that is now the WalMart. I N S I D E Goodness this place is large! But since it's a TJMaxx + HomeGoods, it has clothing too not just home....goods. I found the layout a little different than other Home Goods I've been to but for the most part, I was able to find the areas that I needed. I did do several laps which you know, if you're wanting some cardio and shopping, this is your place! I was able to find a good deal on some indoor/outdoor chair cushions. C H E C K O U T Like many HomeGoods, they have the line where you basically take your time since they're still selling you stuff and you can't help but still look at stuff while in line! I easily used my watch to tap to pay which was nice. O V E R A L L It's definitely a larger place which meant more furniture than I usually see at a HomeGoods. But it is a walk to get through everything. Every HomeGoods as well as TJ Maxx has their own stock so not every one has everything and sometimes one place has more deals than the other. I do appreciate this place having a lot of options. Everything was relatively organized well. Although I do live further from this one, it's not a bad spot to do some treasure hunting! Furniture shopping during the pandemic sucks. Everywhere you got you have months of lead time. Less than ideal, but that's the new normal with supply chain issues. I might not be able to find a bed or couch here, but they have an amazing selection of rugs, accent tables and chairs, plus a to of decorative items that will appease anyone from country chick to mid-century modern styles. I also love the multiple isles dedicated to the furry family members. I'm especially impressed with their hanging beds for the puppers. Will have to get one of my Oakley and report back on his satisfaction. read more

Home goods is a remainder store so they have random merchandise for your kitchen, bathroom, clothing, furniture and more. I like going here for browsing and often find things for bargain prices. This location is large and they do a good job keeping it clean and organized. I was a little surprised to see a staff member asking customers if they wanted to apply to work there on the way out. I've been to this location once or twice before. It's a combination of both TJ Maxx and Home Goods in one store, so the Home Goods section is rather small in size and selection compared to the other locations at Brokaw, Cupertino, and Almaden. It's also not as neatly organized and welcoming as the other shops. Nonetheless, it's still a great place to find home decor ideas at a great price. One recent find is this super cute wood cutting board I absolutely love. Kitchen decor with functionality for $25. This is the medium size and now considering to also buy the smaller and larger variations. Lots of parking and convenient location in North San Jose with many other businesses/eateries in area. read more

When you see something that you like you have to buy it right there and then because if you think you're gonna come back and find it it will be sold guaranteed. Terrible and disgusting how they have their employees working with no AC in this weather. They should be shutdown. Greedy owners and greedy building management. It's been several times I've gone to this one and it's been hot inside. The person in front of me offered to buy employees water but found out it was free. The owner of the company should be there handing their employees water. What a shame I will not give them my business here again. And everyone should boycott until they fix this hvac. I've been a loyal TJ Maxx customer since the early 90's! Zoinks! Whaaaattt? It's a fun store to take your time, go up and down the aisles slowly and enjoy the treasure hunt! For sure, each and every time I go to one, I will find something I need for the home! Way back, I would go there strictly for recreation, thinking, I'll let the store tell me what I need today? Although I've greatly reduced my need to shop through the years, I will still, on occasion come and just meander around, looking for little treasures. Used to be you could find great designer goods here, through the years this has changed, and now most things are of lower quality, made in China, etc. But the surprise high end good item does pop up now and again, which is why I keep coming back! read more

Store run poorly , 15 people in line, 1 cashier. Get it together people. This store offers a large selection but who wants to wait in line? Update talked to a manager and she could really give two craps about the customers. She said she just walked in from lunch but I saw her walk past everybody 15 minutes ago not paying attention to the line. Horrible horrible customer service. So maddening, won't be coming back. This TJ Max and Homegoods hybrid is gigantic! The TJ Max portion takes up the entire center of store and the Homegoods is alone the perimeter. I've never seen such a large retail store! I love this location because unlike other locations, I always come home with something super unique for my home, whether it's a velvet decorative pillow or a Sand and Fog candle --highly recommend! My only complaint so far is the dishes section is substantially smaller than the other Homegoods as I specifically went in to look for a type of bowl but I noticed they only had one aisles worth of dish ware. read more

This isn't the greatest product remainder store in the area, but because they are a combination of T.J. Maxx & Home Goods in one location, you will see a more diverse selection in larger quantities than their stand alone counterparts. I like this store because it is a lot cleaner than their competitors and because they always have items that will catch your attention as impulse buys, but out of the few times I have come here I have noticed that I am not really ever able to get everything I need for home or clothing in one location. read more

This is a combo TJ/HomeGoods as I've seen once before in Fremont. I noticed that in Fremont the two stores are divided completely whereas at this location its more integrated. Imagine a TJ Maxx with furniture scattered all about - that is exactly what this is. To me I prefer it separate - all the clothes on one side like in Fremont so its less confusing and distracting. I suppose here the hope is to expose those who are furniture shopping to lots of clothes and the clothes shoppers to lots of furniture so that each type of shopper will buy some of both. The one thing I dislike most about HG is that there is one random chair and then the matching chair all the way across the store. I don't know the logic to this madness. read more

Just can't get enough of TJmaxx stores! I try to go to as many different ones as I can because they all have different items. My rating is really solely on the fact that you can get great products for a lower better price tag! I don't expect service to be that great because of the fact its a low end quick shopping experience. I can't deny TJ has forced me to leave a dent in the credit card especially in the shoe section! This TJ Maxx is just ok. Im a plus sized woman, and there is literally like a rack and a half of plus sized clothes. Very disappointed in that. Usually this store is pretty clean though, which is nice. Coming here for lotions, hair product and household items is pretty consistent though. read more

This is another TJ Maxx Home Goods store that I like to shop at. Again, nice assortment of merchandise from fashion to things for the home. I love kitchen items and dishes so I get really caught up. The people in the dressing room are really nice and patient and they don't limit how many items you can try on at one time. Be prepared to have your mind blown...I bought a set of sheets from another Home Goods a few days ago. I was pretty damn bummed out when I went to wash the sheets and realized the set was missing the bottom sheet. I tried to return them to this Home Goods today (just 2 days later, still in the original packaging, and with a receipt) and was told that they won't accept a return if it's missing a piece. I clarified about three times, "You sold me a sheet set missing a sheet and NOW YOU REFUSE TO ACCEPT IT BACK?!?!?!?" Correct. I told the shift supervisor I was just going to dispute the purchase with my credit card company versus pay for a sheet set I can't use, and she said she would rather me go that route than for her to accept a sheet set that she can't re-sell. I'm at a loss for words. I am calling corporate TJX tomorrow and I've already called my credit card. This is absolute nonsense. read more

This is a TJ Maxx-Home Goods freak of nature... and it's discombobulated enough to match. It's a massive store, and it definitely has a good selection. I found a large, thin green banquet table for a fairly reasonable price, as well as a bathroom cabinet thing with a marble top for an equally reasonable price. They've got lots of other housewares-- salad spinners, can openers, lamps... things you might think you'd find elsewhere but (I speak from experience) you'll be shocked and frustrated not to. Ok, but. The aisles are just a little too narrow for cart navigation, the staff isn't exactly quick to help, and the place is insanely crowded. Note that this post is being written during a major economic recession. The lines at this place looked like an Occupy Wall Street protest in Oakland. I exaggerate. And for the right home goods, it's probably worth it. For the possibility of maybe finding a season-old poorly tailored dress that doesn't quite fit, maybe not. Just depends what you're looking for. I tried to return a pair of shoes I got for my mom's birthday and they would not take it back because it was somehow "damaged". I couldn't believe what I was hearing! It was outrageous. They claimed I've worn it and that the shoes are now "unsellable". The manager, Krystella, YELLED at me and said I was LYING about not wearing them outside the store. I was furious and tried to reason with them; at which point the cashier, Nicole, asked me not to raised my voice. This store have THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Then she had the audacity to tell me that she would discount something like art work that has a ripe in it. Because that is not usable then a discount can be given then. Why would you get a piece of art work in the first place with a rip in it??? So long story short, she will only discount stuff you can't use at all. And if you are into junk, get all the discounts you want. Everywhere I know, offers a 10% discount if something has a minor damage, a dent even dirt if you want to get fussy. "I have too much throw pillows!" says no girl ever. This is hands down one of the best Home Goods in the Bay. Trust me, I have been down to San Jose, San Carlos, Dublin, Pleasanton...you name it. As with any discount stores, you should expect to spend some time digging for the good stuff but I appreciate that this location seems to be well organized and cleaner than other Home Goods, except for the bathroom. TJMaxx and Home Goods, you have the perfect 'all in one'. They have new items daily and my best friends and neighbor cannot resist a little bit of old good shopping at least once a week...going for a peek and leaving the store 2 hours later with a couple of bags full of super chic grocery items (the ones expensive somewhere else!). Of course, you won't get every week the same stuff, there is so much variety but the trick is to get going often and not expecting getting the same items that the previous time, because then you might get frustrated. read more

Great selection of 'home goods!' and the store is maintained pretty well, which is why I prefer this place over Marshalls or Ross. They also get frequent shipments so if you are unsure you like something get it because it won't be there if you come back tomorrow. Home good, Oh home goods. How I wish I had more room to necessitate more of your wares. Lots of good home stuff here - for the kitchen, pets, serve/barware, furniture, some gourmet condiments, and miscellaneous decor. I can spend a good hour oohing and aahing down the aisles. The line is the most painful thing here even with the electronic marquee to announce the next open cashier number. Even at the lunch hour. They strategically hawk more stuff while you wait in the ridiculous line - mp3 player buds and accessories, coffee, candy, etc. It worked on me, I picked up chocolate and coconut macadamias. The exit doors are inconsistent. Sometimes they both open automatically other times you'll have to push to open. Today I bought some fitness items - ankle weights and a resistance tube $6.99 each. Went into this HomeGoods last weekend, and the customer service was terrible. I will not be returning to this one, and I surely hope that Turquoise is reprimanded for her behavior towards me and my boyfriend. The story goes like this... We checked out the mirrors in the back of the store to see if the one we had previously chosen but couldn't fit in the car at the time was still there. It was not there. We went up front and asked the cashier (after waiting in line around 15 minutes) about the mirror, which we had a picture of the tag for. He shooed us down to a woman at the end. She never looked up at us and appeared too busy to acknowledge us. I explained the situation and said I had the bar code for the mirror. She laughed and said "I can't look it up with the bar code." My boyfriend cut in at this point and advised her that we had the style number and product ID. She wrote it down and said "I can call ONE store, the closest one in Cupertino." We responded that we had already been there, and she proceeded to stare at us like "WHAT." Oh, Turquoise, you could use a serious lesson in customer service. To Home Goods, regional management, I highly suggest training your "on duty managers" that customers are what make your business go 'round. Get it together. read more
