I purchased a helium tank online. After picked it up, realized that the tank was defective. I was unable to select option of return or exchange online, which was already frustrating. Then, when I brought it back, the person handling the return gave me a skeptical attitude as if I was returning it after use rather than because it was defective. The issue was clear: air was flowing out of the wrong pipe, making the tank unusable. This was a product defect, not buyer's remorse or misuse. The whole reason I purchased online was to save time and avoid inconvenience, but instead it created more hassle and wasted time. ok bros. Today, I was a space cadet. but I'm a broke space cadet so when I show up with a cart full of stuff and ask to price check half of it, I KNOW am every checkers worst nightmare. I don't care how friendly you are, that's just effin annoying. yes, I have worked retail and understand. I am sorry. I just lost a pet and then went to the dentist for an intense cleaning I wasn't ready to go home to an empty house so.. I went to peruuuz the clearance section. Sometimes things make it into the clearance section that aren't actually on clearance so you have to be kind of careful. With my absolutely stuffed cart seriously... full of stuff, I pulled up to the checkout line. I waited an incredibly long amount of time because the checker was being absolutely delightful to someone who required a lot of assistance. The person in front of me commented to this checker how they have the patience of a God. I was about to say the same thing. I mean, she didn't even look put out. She was still just as friendly and just as helpful with the person in front of me. When I finally pulled up, I explained to her that I needed to be quite careful with what I purchased because I am broke let me tell you she was just incredible. She told me the original price and then discounted price, then explained how much of a percentage it was off Each item on clearance! THEY WERE FAST. She totally understood that I just couldn't buy things unless they were under a certain amount. I felt like I had a teammate --instead of someone making me feel ashamed or embarrassed, or that I was taking up too much of their time. Came by the other day for the drive-up experience and it was quick and easy...sort of! Ordered ahead on the website the day Target IT went down and I didn't get any order confirmation for hours! Target later sent me a $20 eGift card as an apology. Most of my order was available for drive-up which was convenient. Notified Target that I was on my way using the app and inputted the parking space when I arrived. A team member brought out my items and I provided a 4 digit pin from my Target app to confirm my order. The entire process was seamless! read more

I've been coming to the Target Cupertino near De Anza for years, and wow... this place has taken a serious dive. What used to be a dependable, friendly store has now turned into a "we genuinely don't care" experience. Service didn't just decline -- it flatlined.... On 3/20/26, I had the pleasure (and I use that word very loosely) of dealing with Elliot, a trainer. If this is the standard they're setting for training employees, that's a problem. No greeting, no smile, no eye contact -- just a blank stare like I interrupted his day by existing. Think of a dry, emotionless male version of Daria... but somehow with even less personality. Every single step of the interaction felt like it was in slow motion. No urgency whatsoever. Just dragging through the process like there was absolutely no reason to be there. At one point I genuinely wondered if I should apologize for needing help. And this isn't just a one-off. You can feel it throughout the store: * Employees standing around with zero engagement * Checkout lines moving painfully slow * No one offering help, you have to hunt someone down * That overall vibe of "not my problem" It's frustrating because this location used to be solid. Clean store, helpful staff, quick service. Now? It feels like the bare minimum is too much to ask. Target, if you're reading this, proper training matters. Energy matters. I've been to this target a handful of times on this particular day I could not believe how expensive Halloween candy has become! I know we're in the middle of a recession that nobody wants to talk about, but goodness! The organic candy is the same price as the GMO candy granted the ounces are less, but wow!! Target still seems to have a lot of employees in all the sections and I really like their little scanner boxes where you can price check items. I really like how organized their sections are and I think they remodeled all their stores to look the same because I've been to a couple of different locations and the layout is really similar so it's easy to find whatever I need even if it's not my normal target I'm walking in. The only withdrawal I would say from this particular Cupertino location is the fact that they have outdoor seating area which homeless people seem to inhabit. At least they don't engage with the customers, but walking by and smelling them is one thing and I feel bad, but I wouldn't know what to do. I know there's a Food pantry by the fire department of Stevens Creek so I'm guessing they go there for food and just walk down to target to hang out. read more

This is one of my favorite target stores to frequent. They recently remodeled the exterior and the interior and it looks great. The exterior gives a mid-century vibe which I happened to appreciate. The fitting rooms are actually pretty nice for a target store. A nice light fixture as you enter the fitting room area. It's quite an upgrade with an almost boutique vibe. The only reason I've given three stars is because although the store has been remodeled and looks fabulous, there is quite the homeless encampment when you drive in specifically, The drive-up, pick-up section. While this doesn't reflect the shopping experience at the store, it does reflect on the vibe as you approach the store itself. This is not a small encampment. I don't wanna be rude, but the fact is it's atrocious. It's disgusting. It's dirty. And doesn't really make you want to go shopping there. If you have a nice store, you want the exterior to reflect that, but that's kind of difficult with the huge homeless encampment as you drive in. Completely clueless to what a gift registry is, but the worse part is that employees will just give bogus answers to make you go away. Forget about basic greetings, I've had workers chatting on their mic about off hours plans while ringing me up. The best way to enjoy this Target is to just look up your items on the Target app, pickup the item, ring yourself up at the self checkout. Probably one of the more well-stocked and cleaner targets around the Bay Area. I typically find everything that I usually need especially for women's clothing and household essentials. Service is pretty good I do a lot of order pickups and they come very quickly with your orders. I often use self checkouts I don't really talk to too many employees. I would say Target's a great value because I would rather go to Target then Walmart because of the whole vibe. read more

I bought 2 fitted sheets online and drove there to pick up. When you buy online, you are charged $1 extra for 10 Target bags. The idea is, you will be refunded for whatever bags you don't use. When I arrived to pick up, the item was given to me in a bag and I was charged 10 cents for it. Nobody asked me if I need a bag. No receipt to show 90 cents refund for other 9 bags. Manager tells me that the receipt will be emailed to me in 1 hour. Oh dear. Well 2.5 hours later, still no receipt. So now I have to drive back and fight for 90 cents refund. They know I won't do it. If Target does this to one person, they make 90 cents. If they do this state-wide or nation-wide, it's a lot of money for bags you never got. I went to get my curbside pickup, and as I waited for an additional two orders I placed, I observed Target employee Aida hustling to get orders out. Aida was so kind and attentive to all the customers, and it was pretty busy at that time for one person to manage. I did exactly the same as Westgate Target, which was to adjust a purchase to match up $60 in order to get $20 target circle reward. Employee was very helpful at first and he understood exactly what I needed. Except, he returned a toothpaste from the same receipt but I wanted him to use the different receipt. Duh... (-) There are some oddities about pricing and pricing tags. I've seen multiple times that multi packs are pricier per item than buying multiple of smaller items (e.g. kind bars value pack vs normal size, bounty napkins 400pc vs 200pc), and they have mislabeled sale price tags on the wrong items. So I have to watch out for the correct price tags and also to decide whether to get the bigger packages vs multiple of the smaller ones. (-) Bathrooms are big with no wait times, but tend to need some more cleaning in my experience. read more

Let me start by saying that I love Target. Target is my happy place. It's were I go when I want snacks, food, drinks, alcohol, clothes, and even when I'm bored. I can just walk around and be happy. They did a great job remodeling Cupertino's location. I haven't been in town for over a year and wow what a change it's made. I love what they did outside as well as the arrangements inside. It's so nice and clean, well organized and lit. One thing I miss about California's Targets compared to the East Coast is the fact that they can actually sell liquor, and pretty much every kind. This Target location has always been my favorite and now I only have more reasons to love it even more! read more

A great example of how Target as a company is botching the customer experience in their stores. In short, I was done shopping in 1/3rd the time of my entire visit. It took me the rest of the time just waiting in line to check out. This location actually has 2 check-out sections: one large one near the front and a smaller one on the East side. Each with staffed checkout and with self-checkout. Today, ALL the self-checkout stations on the East side were closed. leading to a long backup at the staffed checkout on that side, where I had parked. I decided to go to the main checkout on the South side of the store. Same story: 2-3 parties in line at each of the 2 open staffed checkout lines and ~6 or so people waiting for self checkout. Those were only at half capacity since roughly half the self checkout stations seemed out of order. The staff seemed friendly enough, but they perform checkout SLOOOOOW. What a waste of time. I cannot understand the switch to self checkout if 1) they cannot keep those stations online and 2) if they are offline, they don't staff up the manual checkout lines to accommodate the volume of customers they have. Just seems like poor management here. By comparison, we regularly shop the Morgan Hill location and they too had this issue, until they fixed it. The MH location now has a swifter self checkout and more staffed lines. Much more pleasant experience. Generally, I only go to the Cupertino location if I absolutely have to. However when I later asked Corina for assistance finding the 2.5oz Pistachio Please fragrance, my shopping experience took a sharp turn for the worse. I asked her to help me find it, and she advised if they are no longer on the end caps, they have no more. I went to the register and asked about the fragrance again, and the associate said to ask the nearby associate to check with their scanning device thingy. I went back to Corina again and asked her to please check. I pulled up the product in my Target app and went to specifications for her to see the product information. She walks away (not saying anything), I imagine to locate the product. I follow and stop as I see she is going to the back to get it. She hands me the product and I say thank you. She walks away with an attitude. I said, excuse me. She ignores me and continues walking so I follow her to where she was working on go backs to ask her name. After she told me, I reported her to the manager, Cindy. I do hope Target does better vetting their associates for customer service experience. I did NOT deserve to be treated that way. I was really starting to like this Target again. However I had the weirdest experience today with their checkout staff. I had asked their check out manager(young in her 30's brown hair tall, 5'8, deep voice, White, always wears a head band, and eye liner) who I didn't her her full name but it started with a F, about a promotion they were running with their C-9 active wear. She flat out refused to honor it, even though I showed her the picture, and her team member at active wear had said they should honor it. So she told me to hold on, and walked off without answering any other questions, or even asked if we needed anymore help. Which we did need help. Her employee walked over who was an older white lady, in her 60's, short red hair, and walked over and laughed at us, and went to gossip with her manager who just walked off. She asked me so many questions and I have told her everything is unopened and I also have the receipts and credit card I paid with. She made me feel super uncomfortable and feels like she kept harassing me. It is a very toxic environment for customers. This target is phenomenal. I can't express how efficient the staff is. Everything is priced as marked. Whenever I drop in for an item listed at their location if it's not on the shelf then it's quickly located in the back inventory. Spotless restrooms, ultra clean charging parking lot. I remember going to the target many times because of how close it was to school. They also finished remodeling the entire store outside as well as the starbucks inside as well which is reaally nice!! Stopped by here yesterday while in the area to look around. My sister and I didn't buy that many items this time but we did buy a plant growing kit for each of us to grow at home because it'd be fun. These are small planting pots sold for $1 with sunflower, daisy, strawberry seeds and the other one which I forgot! The restroom here is usually pretty clean whenever I go which is really nice and it is open for customer use as well. Masks are required for entry, staff are wearing masks. Everything is usually also really neat here, nothing random laying around/not in their designated area which is great. read more

I love Target. They have a nice selection of clothing, food, home goods, you name it. This store seems very fresh and remodeled. I'd love to come back if I lived a bit closer. The aisles are a bit wonky than some of the other Targets I've been to but I was able to find the candy aisles in the back. There is some self checkout as well. This store is big. There's a Starbucks for a quick coffee stop. There are very few personnel available to help customers find supplies. Also, prices here are still higher than Amazon. They don't have as many supplies these days in their dollar section. Most items are more than $1.00, which defeats the purpose of shopping in that sector. read more
