I had an extremely disappointing experience at TJ Maxx after a return issue caused by a cashier mistake. Part of my jewelry return was never refunded, and I spent three consecutive days going back to the store because employees repeatedly told me to return the next day while they "figured it out." After wasting hours of my time during work breaks, a white younger manager handled the situation in a very disrespectful and dismissive manner. As soon as she saw me &started hearing my African accent Instead of listening, she continuously interrupted me, questioned my honesty, and repeatedly said she could not trust what I was saying without reviewing cameras -- despite the fact that I had been returning for days following their instructions. The issue was never resolved, no apology was offered, and I was treated as though I had done something wrong. I always enjoy shopping at this location. This TJ Maxx is located in Cupertino on Stevens Creek Blvd. The TJ Maxx is connected to a HomeGoods which makes it even better. They have a big parking lot in the front. I love all the beauty product option and accessories. They have nice purses and a nice clothing section for men and women. I found some nice Korean skin care products for a reasonable price. They had a glow recipe mini set on clearance. I had to get that because the price was right. Customer service here is exceptional. The employees are really friendly and eager to help you. I had a lovely conversation with an employee in the skin care section. We were discussing the Korean skin care products and she told me about a few she had tried. I really appreciated that. The checkout wasn't too bad today. They had plenty of employees working at the registers and that made the line move fast. Overall a great shopping experience. read more

This TJ Maxx/Home Goods location in Cupertino is one of the better locations, The store is generally clean and organized, and there is a great variety of items, from clothing to accessories to toys and home furnishings, Prices are competitive - though you can't always trust the "Compare at" prices on the tag. Every day is like a treasure hunt - you never know what brands and bargains you will find! But if you see something you like, best to grab it quickly because it probably won't be there on your next visit. Some tips - don't miss the Clearance racks (marked with red signage), and consider signing up for the TJX Rewards credit card for earning rewards. I'm subtracting half a star (but still keeping it rounded up to five stars!) for their perpetual long register lines. Wish they could have more registers working, especially when the line wraps around the main checkout corridor. read more

I love this TJ Max! It's spacious and has home goods as well as normal clothing focused TJ Max. I came to find some things for burning man and found alot of things in the clearance section. Also found soap and a rug to use in our RV. The line can be long but keeps moving. Will def be back soon! read more

This TJ Maxx/Homegoods store is reasonably well stocked and organized. They have a good selection of products, decorative items and clothing at good prices. The store is clean and the service is friendly. The problem is the cashier lines. It's always 30 + people long with maybe 5 cashiers max. But the cashiers are really really slow, and they seem to stop ringing up customers on a regular basis. Out of the 6-7 people behind the counter, usually only 2-3 are actually scanning customers. The rest are pretending to be busy shuffling items around the returns counter. I give up on this place. The Santa Clara store has better selection and much shorter lines. read more

I've had multiple issues here, including being stopped at the exit and questioned despite having paid. staff approaching customers before closing time and asking them to leave, which feels very unprofessional. The lamp section is very disorganized where items are mismatched and many lamp shades have no price tags, making it confusing for customers. One of the best TJMaxx Home Goods in the area. The selection is always fantastic. They are overflowing in great items. I always find way more than I need. They stay on top of inventory and keep the shelves stocked. The stockers and floor staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Today Aye helped with my check out. She was so friendly. A few items did not have tickets and she had someone look up the items. She was patient and kind even taking the time to wrap a couple of items for me on request. I've been shopping here since they took over what used to be a Mervyn's store many years ago. I love buying the tropical or fruity candles here. We love this TJ Maxx's selection and prices. I spend hours here with mom, finding things we need and use frequently. Their team runs a very big and busy TJ Maxx with great efficiency. This is our favorite location. Their process for bigger items and furniture is great too. After you purchase, they will move your item(s) to a pick up storage area in the back and then bring it back out for pick up with care and help you get your item to your vehicle or a delivery team. Easy and efficient. We have gotten a few bigger items here that would not fit in our car, a painting, a patio set, furniture, and they were great in sharing how to coordinate and direct pick up with the Lugg App and made sure all the pieces of your purchase are altogether and handled with great care. I once had a patio set with many pieces that could have gotten lost or separated so I went to the store the same time as the Lugg delivery team I coordinated with and the young lady who was the manager at the time was on top of it all and even helped the Lugg crew which was a bit confused. She took great care in making sure I knew how to request the delivery on the Lugg App days before and made sure all the pieces of a patio set I purchased here did have all the pieces included when she put the set into their pick up storage space in back and had all the pieces of the set together and ready for speedy pickup on a later date. A screw was loose on one of the legs and it made it! We only once had a bit of a misunderstanding with something we needed to exchange since the lid would not open but the store was extremely busy and the team probably stressed and was a bit defensive. Once we cleared up some confusion everything was returned easily. Hopefully the team had a better rest of the day. All other times, even when busy the rest of the team is excellent too, super helpful, attentive to detail and efficient. Busy times are always hectic! read more

This has to be one of the best TJ Maxx I've been to. The beauty/ skincare section is amazing!! Found so many good treasures there including dr.jart, murad, first aid beauty, laneige, and many more for less than half the price. This is definitely my new go to skin care hunting place - sorry sephora! I also love how its connected to homegoods. This place is literally massive and has everything you ever need. It was fun just to stroll around (you'll probably end up buying way more than you came for). There were employees outside monitoring occupancy and no line at the cash register so no need to wait or worry about it being crowded during (although i did come on a weekday). read more

TJ Maxx and Home Goods...please continue to sell name brands for less! I found some shirts, shorts, pants, socks and such, by Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour, for amazingly low prices. With so much traffic and gas prices so high, it's really not worth the trip to the Gilroy, Livermore, Vacaville or even Milpitas outlets, unless it's back-to-school shopping time or the holidays. However, I do find more small sized clothing and shoes for myself at the outlets, so I'll have to make the journey out there when I can. I did buy a cute, little spandex jacket today, but that was it. It's Cupertino, I assumed this location would stock a greater quantity of petite sizes. The POS machine didn't process my credit card properly, the irresponsible kid cashier broke the paper bag and then promptly asked me if I wanted to keep the broken bag??? I live very close to this TJ Maxx therefore it would be very convenient for me to go to this TJ Maxx. Unfortunately, the majority of the time the waiting line to check out is 25 to 40 people long. Many times there are only two check out employees. I have attempted to go to this TJ Maxx at different times of the day on different days and generally the line is, still 25 to 40 people long therefore I have given up on the place. It's worth me driving 6 miles to another TJ Maxx or ordering online!! read more

I have a thing for triple milled soap... I find it to be one of those small luxuries that has fallen out of favor with the general public. They can be expensive... but TJMaxx (and some of the other discount shops) tend to have a lovely marked down selection amidst the sea of cheap candy-scented shower gels. That's my thing... if it's your thing too, you might take a look. :-) Also excellent for certain home goods. There are a lot of cheap knick knacks but for dishtowels, accent items, utensils and bath linens, it can be very helpful. Sheets occasionally as well. Picture frames... I like to hit up their gourmet food section, too. Things like olive tapenade, roasted peppers, finishing salts and exotic spice blends end up here and are quite useful. For clothing, however, I find that you need to dig in order to find anything worthwhile unless you are looking for something simple like socks or a silk scarf. I usually just pass through unless I have a LOT of time on my hands. Definitely a place you want to stop in fairly often in order to find that hidden gem. Beware of the parking lot.. it's crowded and a bit nutty. read more

I had a return and had to come in on my 15 minute break from work I kindly asked the manager if there was another counter I can go to he said nope I had to get in line that he was sorry but can't . Some of us work late hours and don't get to do things after work I feel like they should have a different line for returns just like target. It's awful when you have to choose between waiting in line for a whole 15 minutes on your break and having to use the bathroom on your 15 minute break they should be a little more flexible I think they're pretty rude and insensitive customers what ever happened to customer service ? I think that this is one of the better locations in the area if you are shopping for beauty or home products. That portion of the Homegoods store is always amazingly stocked and you find some really unique and high quality items. I wanted to write this before I forgot as I'm just walking out of this establishment. I just attempted to purchase an item that was in the store and unmarked. Austin, who mentioned he was the manager, refused to sell me the item by itself, and stated that he was going to put the item together with another package that was already tagged together. These items were in the clearance section and I explained to him that I just wanted one of the items and not the other items that were not attached to the previously marked set. He insisted that I would have to buy everything together. And also laughed at me when I told him it was not my fault and that I was the customer purchasing these items. There are tons of places I can spend my money and moving forward I will not be spend my money here again I will also be contacting the corporate office to let them know that they have a manager who decided that he was going to laugh at his customers instead of helping them. read more

I usually don't write reviews but after my experience here I'm really bothered I've been shopping here and I'm quite disappointed . I bought a cabinet for the bathroom I realized it had a crack on the side and didn't even fit in the destined area . As I come to return, the so called "manger" comes up and accuses me of damaging the item myself I told her "this how you sold it" and the manger by the name "diloro" such a grouchy old lady says "we don't sell items like that on the floor" I explain and she keeps arguing and talking about some bs policy. I ask to speak to the store manager and she says she is the manger ??? She said because it's been a week she can't return. I walk out furious, I ask a young gentlemen if she is the store manager and he replies "no she is not the store manger she is a supervisor" so she lied and claim she was the store manager. She made such a fuss, when I was sold it that way super rude lady. I shop here a lot, and this is how service is by the manger??? Went to the Mercado store explained the situation and they returned it for me. Most carts I've seen, at least 3 are not working. Saw a senior customer having the same problem of cart unable to push forward. I saw 1 cart beside the cashier and asked her if I can switch it with my non-working cart since no one is pushing or using it anyway, it has a few items inside the cart and I'm willing to transfer it over - her reply was NO. She said they are using the cart! Which was obviously just stationary beside her. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. FIX your carts please! read more

I came here during an emergency shoe situation when I went to a nearby wedding and found that my shoes were killing me. After the ceremony, we had an hour break before the reception so I stopped by here to get some black Steve Madden low block strap heels that were much comfier than my ASOS heels. They were a little over $40. I thought the cost wasn't as discounted as I expected it to be but I was desperate. The lines here can get pretty long. They have a ton of great house ware items. The store layout is very wide and narrow. I thought this store was a little messier than other TJ Maxxes I've been to. Overall, I am still a huge fan of this place. As I mentioned I love TJ Maxx stores....Since I had time to kill, I combed the store. Again, very well stocked and the people here were very nice, I found an automatic soap dispenser for me, several drawer organizers and really cute watermelon dishtowels. I wandered over tot he ladies apparel section and voila! New white jeans, several tops, sweat pants, sweaters and OMG Stuart Weitzman ballet flats! This was a really successful shopping day...over $300 later, I left a happy camper. Always has long lines and they need to do a better job of hiring and training staff. Some very slow and rude cashiers. Customers stop in the middle of aisles to rifle through their stuff causing traffic jams and obstacles. The newer stores at Westgate Mall or in Fremont are worth checking out compared to this location. read more

Along with your usual TJ Maxx inexpensive clothing, shoe, and bag finds (which are a hit or miss at any location), you get an entire extra room of home goods. This store is disappointingly small in size and in selection. Also, I'm not really sure about the rhyme or reason to the way it is organized. I will definitely stop by periodically, especially if I want to pick up basics like socks or sports bras, but I'm not sure this is worth visiting regularly. One compliment to the staff though is that it is super clean: no piles of clothes or stacks of shoes. So in that sense, it's better than Ross, Loehmann's, and Nordstrom Rack.
