I'm glad this location closed, finally! It was like shopping at Goodwill, mess and very unorganized. Used items on shelves. Employees at this location were making up prices and stickers that half of items never matched. They shopped for themselves or on their phones. I do not miss working in retail. read more

Basically nothing worth purchase. Marshalls used to have plenty of selection with resonable price. Nowadays just filled with expensive items, and all stuffs seem to be busy all the time. Many times not the size you want , but then again when you find it , 50-60% off retail For this one The good - generally good selection even if you don't find your size - good selection of non clothing items - the staff has always been mostly friendly and helpful The improvement points - the racks are miss matched more than usually , things in the wrong section and size distribution - the rotation of clothing is slow , especially shoes. If you don't find what you want , you need to wait a couple weeks. This store is my lifesaver. Whenever I trave and if I forget something; I can always relying on Marshalls Store to find what I urgently need. It's located at the beginning of major congestion - Stevens Creek and Lawrence Expressway. And, it has other great stuff at this strip mall. They have higher-end stuff that I can't find in Houston. So, I normally pack my suitcase with gifts I bought from here. If anything not working out, I can simply return any unwanted items at a Marshalls Store near home. No hassle return policy is just great. I was a little baffled during this trip. I saw the racks with stuff misplaced, like leggings in men's section and underwear in active section. Assume these were just a fluke. But I still enjoy shopping here. read more

This Marshall's is huge. The store front has fairly friendly employees at the cash register. Just really want them to have bigger selection of Crocs for women and teenagers. Their sizes are too big. Can't get anything to fit the 12 year olds. Having a bigger selection of Crocs would make us visit this store much more frequently. read more

Came here last week with my wife and daughter, mainly for my wife, she had to return a pair of jeans because she grabbed the wrong size last time. After she returned it, she gave our daughter the small used paper bag (that she used to place the return item in) to our daughter to play with. Then she proceeded to look for the right size of jeans. As I browsed the clearance section, I saw a few pair of jeans that were my size and length, so I picked up a couple as well. Everything seemed alright until we got to the register, the cashier who was checking us out starred at paper bag that my daughter was playing with (she was sitting in the cart), immediately asked "is that ours?". That is some serious accusation saying my daughter (or myself) stole a used shopping bag. I answered "no, we brought this in ourselves". Then she continued to scan our items, one she saw a pair of jeans from "Religion", she looked at me and then looked at the jeans and started to peel off the red clearance sticker, and said "this sticker is not for this item" and repeated it 4 times while she continued trying to get the sticker off the tag. I said "there're a couple more in the clearance section". She then said "hold on" and called someone to come over. At this point I was offended by the way she spoke to us and looked at us.. first trying to accuse us stealing a used paper bag, now sounding like I placed the sticker on the tag. A few minutes later, a male and female employees came to look at the situation. One of them went to get the other Religion jeans from the clearance section, came back and scan those stickers, then both said "it's 39.99, not 29.99", then left. The cashier repeated "it's 39.99, you still want it?" Well, not after all of that! It's not like I'm dying for some jeans, it was just something extra that I thought I would have since I'm here. So I told her to just check my wife's items out, paid, and left. We ended going to Marshall's on Coleman for a more pleasant experience, at least their employees smile and say "thank you". read more

I am a fan of Marshalls. They always have great designer inventory at a reasonable price & a competitive selection of home accents. However, I didn't feel such excitement when I first walked into this particular location as I was greeted by a 'stench'. The kind you get when shopping at a thrift store (not that there's anything wrong with thrift shops - I frequently visit thrift shops to browse furniture pieces that I can refurbish) but I honestly don't think expect to feel like I'm visiting a second-hand store when I'm at Marshalls. It didn't deter me from shopping though. I still took the time to look around, try on some potential purchases & yes, I did spend some money on a cute blouse and a pair of comfy jeans. The 2 stars is for the store itself. The racks are unorganized (and I'm not talking about the clearance section). Clothes are not properly hung on the hangers - instead just strewn on top of racks, sizes are not in the right place (I found many size 'S' in racks marked 'L' or 'XL'). I don't mean to sound over-analytical but I expect more from Marshalls. Especially since I've always had such a pleasant experience shopping at other locations (Like Fremont). Hi! I normally do not not do any reviews for businesses, but this one deserves a big one. I went to buy a nice jacket but it turned out it was so big for me. Because I had bought the Jacket behind my husband's back, ( dont judge me most women does ) I tossed everything including the receipt. When I return it, the first cashier refuses to give me a store credit or exchange the merchandise, and that's when Alexis and the other lady came to the rescued. Alexis asked me if I could find them same jacket oon the rack, which I did! I took off one star for the rude young female cashier who couldn't be bothered to use complete sentences when processing my refund then subsequent purchase transaction. The men's section clothes were nicely arranged and put in an orderly fashion. It was so organized, that it wanted to make me shop even more! Shirts and pants were stacked according to their respective sizes. Belts were in their actual sizes, arranged in ascending order. Cute home decor items, beauty products, shoes, accessories, gym/workout items, makeup, pet products, and even healthy snacks =) Those can be located by the cashiers or in the back of the store by the kitchen items. If you're looking for a bargain better than TJ Maxx than this is the place to come to. Decent selection of clothing/shoes when I'm in a pinch for a quick outfit. Unworn/unused items can either be returned for full refund or store credit without receipt which is helpful. Otherwise, I find this store is often low in inventory if/when I find an item I like and the staff is less than enthusiastic. I've experienced a few eyerolls and disgruntled, reluctant-to-help employees when I've asked for assistance. If I can find what I need at TJ Maxx closer to home, I avoid this place. read more

The only gross thing about this place is the dressing rooms! Some of the rooms don't have doors, or the locks are broken, paint is chipped, I was creeped out having to change in there! I came here for home goods and they had a great selection. I bought a couple lamps and furniture pieces at GREAT prices. That would have warranted 4-stars but the reason I am giving a 5-star review is because of the outstanding customer service. You see my car was already pretty full from a previous shopping trip. It would have been a very tight squeeze to fit in my new Marshalls items. One of the Store Coordinators, a heavy set Hispanic guy (I forget his name), came out to help me and he was AMAZING! He helped me think of ways to rearrange the items in my car. We ended up deciding to disassemble some of the pieces I bought from the other store to make the new pieces fit. He helped me with that, wrapped up pieces in tissue paper so they wouldnt scratch and then carefully placed the items back in my car. Without him, I definitely would have had to make two separate trips. He and another associate spent 15-20 minutes with me at my car. I honestly couldn't believe the level of customer service. This is for the cashier on register 6 (a older aged indian/middle eastern lady). I came in to return a bottle of soap and she said I couldn't because I used too much of it, which is fine, except for the fact that Marshalls sells half used bottles of soap for full price and I barely had my soap for 5 days and she told me I couldn't return it WHICH IS FINE. But then she said that they don't sell that soap and that she's never seen it before. She implied that I randomly got a soap from somewhere else and stuck a Marshalls tag on it and asked her fellow employee to go find the same one and of course he couldn't. So I finished my current transaction and went to go find the soap myself. I found the exact bottle and showed it to her and she had the nerve to say the price wasn't the same so I'm still wrong. The price wasn't the same because the one I brought her was on sale for a broken cap. Not only did she not apologize for accusing me of lying after I proved her wrong she also accused me of popping tags. Are you kidding me? Marshall's has some really great finds for the home. REALLY GREAT. REALLY UNIQUE PIECES. REALLY CHEAP. I found some gorgeous pieces of artwork, framed in black, abstract colors that I put in my bedroom all for $30 a piece. Considering they were originally 100 something thats a steaaaaaaaaaal. Some other finds that i treasure.... interesting african mask interesting african vase's great scrapbooks Ralph Lauren Luggage Vibrant pillows All- Clad pots etc. ALL DISCOUNTED. There is a reason this is called Marshalls "Department Store' and not Marshall's "Dress for Less". This store actually seems to take pride in the presentation of its items - clothing is not all scattered askew, housewares are color coordinated, seasonal items are displayed at the appropriate season, the lighting is excellent and the aisles are wide... it's generally just a pleasant place to shop. Definitely head here before going to Ross Dress for Less on Homestead - this Marshall's is far superior in terms of the shopping experience and prices seem to be identical. One of the items I bought here was a bit scuffed so I asked for a 10% discount, which was granted no problem. Every penny is appreciated! Maybe I've just been lucky as I read some pretty bad staff reviews, or maybe they've just let all of the lousy employees go. Either way, it's definitely worth a stop. read more

A cashier named Marisa was rude with no customer service skills. She had the audacity to ask me to open an account and make donation while giving me the worst attitude. She constantly talked to another cashier and seemed to be unprofessional and careless. In another occasion, she almost refused return from my husband's request, by stating that he should return to the Marshall store he bought from, a sign of violation of store policy that you can return merchandise in any Marshall stores. And the excuse from her was quite lame! This worker is unfit to be in that position! Marshall should fire her and get someone who is more pleasant and provide great customer service. This is the best Marshall's in South Bay. I almost always find cute dresses here (don't go stealing them, ladies) and a HUGE home department. It's almost like a Homegoods store. This location is located next to Sports Authority inside the plaza. If you see Ariake Sushi then you're almost at the right place. Make a right turn after you've seen the Panda Express (see my review for them on Yelp) and voila! This is the best Marshalls I have visited. They often carry the same items as TJMaxx Home Goods and Ross. I have found a beautiful flower with vase for our new house (a total score, it was made to feel like real flowers) at a great discount. I also purchased a few lamps/lanterns for decorative purposes. This location is very clean and never overcrowded. There is a public restroom (YAY!) They also have a great selection of home goods which I'm constantly obsessing over... It is a constant battle of "Should I get this throw pillow to go with that lamp or this silk bedding set to go with those flowers?" I was surprised to also find out that they actually carry Shisheido products a while back, I bought a few to stock up at home. When I decided to come back for more it had all been sold so I was pretty bummed about that. I continue to stop by here from time to time if I am in the neighborhood. This place is a joke. I purchased items and the cashier forgot to put them together in a bag and I called later when I realized it was missing the manager name that starts with M insisted that we "forgot" and put them on the counter by the register. When you shop anywhere and purchase a bag to put the items inside, the cashiers put all the items in the bag for you so I don't think it is logical to to think that I took out one of the item and put them on the counter. All you need to do is apologize and move on but instead she blamed it on the customer. I understand mistakes happen and it wasn't much of a big deal for me but the manager is in a position who should be able to deal with situations like this in a professional manner.
