This Target has gone through extensive remodeling over the last year or so. I loved it both before and after. It was tough at times to find parking when remodeling was happening but every time else there is plenty of parking!! This is my go-to Target, coming here for over 20 years now!!! Came recently during COVID-19 pandemic; carts were sanitized and freshly cleaned. It "felt" clean too - some other shopping carts at other stores are always sticky from the sanitization when I get it. The lady sanitizing the carts was so sweet. This Target is always poppin' - lines can get long at checkout but remember that there's a second row of cashiers AND self check-out so don't be scared about the lines - they move fast!! This Target is well-stocked and you can usually find what you need. Sometimes when I'm looking for a very specific electronic item, it is out of stock but you can always check ahead online or on the Target app. Workers have always been helpful and know where to direct me when I can't. find something I need. Never had a bad experience here! There is a Starbucks inside the store so you can grab a drink before/during/after your shopping trip. read more

I used to love shopping at this store because it was clean, convenient and reasonably well stocked. But they seem to have shut down their self checkout counters and now there is a single really slow and long line to pay for things. One single checkout employee was working on my last 2 visits. Amazon has better pricing and since it's no longer convenient to shop at target, I might as well just do all of my shopping at Amazon. Or even Whole Foods down the street, which still has self checkout and definitely more than one manned checkout line. Sad times indeed. read more

Ridiculous this target does not accept wic. Every other target does. It even lists their products (market pantry) as approved items. It's already embarrassing to use but times are tough. I made sure I got all the right items and correct sizes only to have the guy working in pickup order have no clue what i was talking about when i asked if you accept wic. Given we are in a pandemic, I spotted on Target's gift card website FAQs that say I can order and schedule a gift card to be delivered via text on a date I desire, e.g., Christmas. I attempted to get access by a chat session but, of course, I was referred to a call center. As I'm staring at the FAQs on THEIR website, the operator proceeds to inform me they only schedule deliveries for physical items. I clarified that their website states clearly I can schedule a text to be delivered. He repeated the same claim as if he wasn't talking to me but at me like I'm an idiot. I explained again slowly, in very clear and precise language what was on their website and he was clueless. He didn't even bother to check the website for himself. He's obviously reading from a cue card. So I can't order today and forget about it. Such convenience NOT. It's straight-up false advertising. How do they stay in business anyway? read more

I was really starting to like this Target again. However I had the weirdest experience today with their checkout staff. I had asked their check out manager(young in her 30's brown hair tall, 5'8, deep voice, White, always wears a head band, and eye liner) who I didn't her her full name but it started with a F, about a promotion they were running with their C-9 active wear. She flat out refused to honor it, even though I showed her the picture, and her team member at active wear had said they should honor it. So she told me to hold on, and walked off without answering any other questions, or even asked if we needed anymore help. Which we did need help. Her employee walked over who was an older white lady, in her 60's, short red hair, and walked over and laughed at us, and went to gossip with her manager who just walked off. There are a couple of Targets in close proximity together and this is the larger and older of the two. I was browsing for a few things online and noticed that they had in-store pickup for at the Target close to my work. I placed an order for that and received a confirmation of my order and an update that it was ready for pickup not 10 minutes after. If you're picking up like me, that area is normally to the left right as you walk in through the entrance. They are undergoing some renovations so this area is closed off and instead there's a temporary kiosk to the right of it. This area is shared by returns and exchanges. The cashier scanned the barcode supplied by the confirmation email. She radioed another employee who was in the back getting everyone's orders. I had grabbed a few small items I needed before heading over to the order pickup area and she was able to ring those items up for me as well. I have gone here for lunch and for Starbucks. The food is alright, I like to get the Chicken Alfredo. I got coffee and ice green tea, don't get anything fancy at Starbucks here. I have found treasures here and it has became one of my favorite Target. It is not the closest, but I go here because the people who works here are genuine in helping me. They really go out of their way to help me find something that I need. In which I really appreciate that they care about their customers. I hate Target and I'm not a fan of IRL shopping. With that being said THIS Target Not too bad Actually pretty darn tolerable + LOTS of parking and the lot isn't a mess with people who don't know how to drive or live in the parking lot and just wait for people to leave their cars unlocked **coughcoughRedwoodCityAndEmeryvilleTargetscoughcough** + Furniture! Food! Medical Supplies! Electronics! Homewares! And ALL where they're supposed to be in their designated department. This has not been my experience with other Bay Area Targets. At other Targets it's more like a bric-a-brac grab bag surprise. One aisle that has toothpaste, yoga mats, and melting ice cream cookies, and one single women's boot. That's been a pretty classic Target experience for me. + Even though they have those god-awful staggered checkout lines that NO ONE can figure out, they staff enough people and stagger them so you don't wait in a long line and you also don't have to try to figure out how to cut in front of everyone in the back row to get to the front row register just so you can get stuck behind the guy who just realized his kid's truck toy package is damaged and he wants one in a new box and doesn't want to leave the line, he'll wait. Of course. I'm still not a huge Target fan but if I ever need to make a run, I'll hold out and hold my breath until I can get to this far superior location. read more

I did an online order and did a in person pick up. When I went to get my order, I notice the box was open. I opened it and it was replace with other things. Basically someone stole the original items and replace it with other things making it look like it was the original item. I went to the pick up order and then I'm told I had to go to the return which was on the other side of Target. When I was at the return, I had to tell the Target staff what happen twice and then he tells me you can get a same item and tells me to get the item. The reason I order it online was not to walk around. I asked for a full refund. The staff workers at this location seem to be really lazy and they don't check the online orders. Also, when I was waiting to get my online order there were 4 Target staff just chatting and took 3 mins for one of them to notice me. Ridiculous! read more

This store keeps getting better. There are now three entrances: front, and each sides of the building. There is still no pharmacy inside. It is always clean and things are easy to find. I like that I can stop by to get toiletries and basic grocery items (salad, eggs, etc.) on one quick trip there. Update: the one on Main St. is closing. Never thought I would write a negative review about something as neutral as a Target, but here we are. The redesign of this Target is terrible. The outside design, and the interior layout. Order pickup is, inexplicably, hidden in a back corner with no signage at the front of the store indicating this. I stood in the customer service line for several minutes recently, thinking this was where I had to pick up my items, only to be told that it was in the opposite corner-- not exactly convenient for a quick item pickup, which is the whole purpose of order pickup. Organization and layout in general is a total mess. Household items are scattered throughout the store around the edges-- decor is in the front, home improvement and household items are in the back right. I have to consult the map on the Target app to even figure out where items are anymore. If you're near it, go to Sunnyvale Target instead. read more

Star rating is for Jayden's A+ service on a return and coincidentally for check out later. Had to write this because Jayden was so sincere, friendly, and polite for his age. Maybe his shift just started, but he wasn't just 'phoning it in'. He engages so well and even apologized for how long the return was taking (he has to scan each item individually, even on same receipt grr). Online return. Having said that, it still didn't take long - Target's return process is way faster than most which I love. An impressive young man, whoever raised him knew what they were doing. Or does credit go to the training team ha. As for order pick-up and pricing at this location, that's another review altogether. But I am still a huge fan of this chain (particularly MV store), they take their customer service seriously. read more

Came during my lunch break to buy 2 Rokus, a shower curtain, shower curtain rings, a tension rod, and a pair of pants for my 4 year old. Though they are under construction the store was clean, shopping carts accessible, and they rang me up with enough time for me to still get something to eat outside (their food court and Starbucks is closed during the construction). This store constantly is remodeling and moving things around. This makes finding things very challenging. They need to hire more personnel to be available for customers' questions. Many times, we cannot find certain merchandise, and we need a clerk to help us. There's no one whom we can find to locate things for us. We also prefer to have more people available at the check out stands. The lines are too long. The self check out is too complicated to use. We do like having the bag discount, which is excellent motivation for us to bring in our own bags. Kudos for that and most stores don't provide this type of discount. read more

This Target used to be our go-to store for everything. The staffing now is at a minimum, so we can't get help when we need to find merchandise. They constantly remodel and move things around, making it even harder to find the supplies that we need. It's frustrating that the check out person keeps pressuring us to get their red card.
