Anthony & his dad at Furniture Discounters are great! I got the lowest price on the Lexicon McCafferty couch I was looking at -- it retails for nearly 2x at other places when compared to their price. I was worried about getting furniture delivered downtown, as I live right across the street from San Jose City Hall, but they showed up early, got it to the 9th floor, and installed it smooth as silk, and they did it all within 20 minutes. Seriously, the guy is a pro. I had a really good experience with them, and would buy from them again! They have a smaller selection but everything they sell is cheaper than other places, so if you're looking to save some money, I would check in every so often to see what their stock is. read more

I bought a pullout couch. I've been shopping around and finally found a great couch here. It is a 3 seater queen memory foam mattress. I bought and paid for delivery. On delivery day we had a problem with the height of the couch and entry. This wasn't going to be in my house today and I was worried whether I had to get a refund and choose a different couch. I was assured by Anthony that he would get the guys to dismantle the bedding mechanism and reinstall it in the house at no extra cost! I was delighted and scheduled a new delivery date in a week. Wow, the guys did a great job and it didn't take even an hour. I'm so pleased with the service and quality of the furniture. It was a great value for me and it's perfect for our living room. read more

Unfortunately, my experience here was not very pleasant. The customer service felt unfriendly and a bit dismissive, which made me uncomfortable while shopping. I hope the service can be improved in the future. read more

Anthony was so helpful! He worked on bundling a living room, dining room and 3 bedrooms for a reasonable price. He was also flexible on scheduling and rescheduling the delivery from Santa Clara to Patterson, CA when our move in date changed. Highly recommend! The delivery guys set everything up, which included bedroom sets upstairs and hauled the boxes away. Great job! Thank you! read more

Love getting my furniture here, BEST deals! Delivery and furniture set up was very good.

We had a wonderful experience at Furniture Discounters located across from Valley Fair. We went to several furniture stores and surfed through several online stores in search for a new sofa set and ended up choosing one from here. Anthony was awesome, friendly, quick to negotiate with and the transaction process was smooth. We didn't take long in looking through the selections they offered in store and made up our minds rather quickly after looking through various options. Upon first glance, we already took a liking in the sofa set we ended up purchasing. The sofa and love seat we bought were well wrapped and we absolutely love our new sofa set! The quality of the leather is good and the look is stunning. Paid extra to get our old set removed and the movers were quick in getting the job done. Highly recommend shopping here if you're looking for a nice sofa with a good price and service by Anthony. read more

Came in with people to browse for a bed set. Nice large warehouse. Full of faded price tags pasted on dusty large furniture. Whatever, just browsing right? Taking a few pics then one of the two people at the front walks over and tells me no pictures allowed. I complied and continued browsing but the guy literally stalked behind me the entire time silently. Everywhere I go he followed and parked himself on the side and stared. Like I was going to grab one of the bedsets complete with mattress and run out the store..? read more

We had a wonderful experience at Furniture Discounters and working with Anthony. We came in looking for a new couch for our living room. Prior to this we looked at other furniture stores where the cost and lead times were all out of control - at least for us. Anthony showed us the custom couches, prices and options were amazing. Not to mention leadtime - 6 weeks max. All exceeded our expectations. The couch arrived and was exactly what we wanted and had hoped for. We then decided to order a matching loveseat. A second loveseat was made to match the couch. Again, everything exceeded our expectations! We had an awesome experience with Anthony. We HIGHLY recommend Furniture Discounters and, especially, their custom couch program!! We will definitely be returning customers. read more

Furniture Discounters - The new sofa set - Furniture Stores Near Me - San Jose, California

I am very disappointed in the quality of the furniture and subsequent lack of service or follow up as a long time customer of this store who has referred many friends, family and acquaintances. The furniture I have purchased over the last 10 years has been very good quality, but not the case anymore. I purchased a couch and love seat from this store two years ago that I paid over $3000.00 for it. A year later, the threads started coming apart and I contacted the store. After several discussions, they sent someone to pick it up. Less than a year later, the foam starts coming out of the recliner and one side of the couch. I contacted the owner, Anthony who after several questions and sending pictures informed me that I had a year's meeting warranty and therefore they would not fix it. He then stopped responding at all. I had to contact an outside service to repair my voice who said the foam that was used was only in certain places and the stitching was very poorly done. I will strongly recommend that if you are looking to purchase good quality furniture, find another store. read more

These folks are kind of unbelievable. I bought a couch and love seat in November from Anthony. I went with my daughter and he was so patient and helpful I was happy to make a purchase . Well my new couch had a seam that was not stitched tight. I drove down to see he and he was not in so I explained my situation to another man. One week later they called to see if I was home because they were delivering a BRAND NEW COUCH. I thought they would just send out someone to fix the stitch. Fantastic above and beyond customer service. I have purchased from lazy boy and have had to wait months to have recliner fixed. Thank you ! read more
