The dishes were for the most part amazing!! My favorites were the Biscoff Banana Brick toast (10/10) and the Smoked Brisket Breakfast Burrito. We had a few other dishes that were still good (Open Face Toast w/ cucumber, avocado, tomato and Kalbi Jjim Eggs Benedict), but not as great as those two. The hash brown was also interesting because it was more dry and apart like small french fries rather than a traditional hash brown, which I personally enjoyed. We also ordered 2 coffees (vanilla latte and caramel latte), but they're nothing special, just your standard latte. I was expecting the coffee to be a bit better because they had a large espresso machine... but it was okay! The service was quicker than I expected considering the amount of people dining there, and the ambiance was super friendly and open. We went at around 11am and the natural sunlight was really nice with their huge glass windows and outdoor seating. This will read like a 2 or a 1, but I will give them some grace as they tried somewhat to make things right and gave me a card to return later to try again. I will do so within a couple weeks and will gladly update should it improve. Others in the cafe seemed to have nice food delivered promptly, so I'm going to guess that is the norm and I my experience was rare and part of growing pains. But my experience did happen, so in fairness, it needs to be a part of what people see. It looks like many of their reviews are for a soft opening or even before, so suspect some might be friends and family, so maybe some balance is in order. I went today for the first time (near work). I ordered the braised rib benedict. After 17 minutes, the manager (owner?) noticed me still sitting without any food and asked, then went to check. She was nice and seemed concerned that my food hadn't come. The food then came, almost immediately, with the comment that they were still waiting on my hash browns. It seemed obvious that the benedict had been ready for quite a while. It was cold. I worked through the first half, and I could tell the flavor was potentially yummy, but the muffin part was very rough to work through. Either not toasted enough to start, or had cooled too much. There was also a rather large piece of eggshell (quarter-sized) in that first half. The server brought out the potatoes, and I asked if they could zap the second part of the benedict. She said she'd take it to the chef. She came back with a delightful looking strawberries over mini-pancakes desert. I'm diabetic, so was already a bit high on the carbs with what I already ate, so packed it up for a co-worker. I ate some of the potatoes, but they seemed cooked at a low temp, as the oil had soaked into them instead of crisping them. Not sure why that isn't a "ready" item as it is one of few side choices for most of their brunch options. I sat for a bit waiting for the return of my benedict, but it didn't seem like that was in the works and no one was communicating with me anymore, so I went ahead and departed with the dessert. The manager did come out the side door to offer me a card for a free entree on my next visit. Considering I didn't get a full entree on this visit, that certainly seems reasonable, although I think they think it was for my troubles when really it was because I barely ate my $25 lunch. They tried with the dessert, so I'll give them credit for trying. I got a strawberry matcha and it was not good at all. I saw different pictures and my drink looked different from those pictures but most importantly it tasted bad. It tasted watered down and had a lot of seeds from the strawberry but had a bad taste. I tried to drink it because I had already left but I couldn't it was just water. I got lucky and had Brunch date w husband at Kitch Cafe. It's so cute and modern. Bright and casual ambience. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Sad that I couldn't try soufle pancakes (we got the French toast which was like crack - ridiculously yummy) and galbi eggs Benedict ran out (popular dish). I'll definitely have to try everything else on the menu eventually and their pizza menu for dinner. I did get to try the dessert fried pizza (see pic) and needless to say also crack delicious for lack of better words. Crispy outside and chewy. Lastly, customer service was excellent. One of the worst cafes I've been too in the OC area. The staff was nice but the food was the worst part. It's a Korean style American cafe place. The eggs benedict meat smelled absolutely horrid as if they didn't cook it properly. The fries that came with it was way too salty and tasted like frozen fries. The egg muffin that came with it wasn't even toasted. The flavors were nothing but a funky smelling taste. The avocado toast egg was on a sunny side up but I'm pretty sure I saw raw egg liquid. The banana biscoff tasted alright but super heavy and creamy. I am beyond disgusted by this place. I visited Kitch with a friend for brunch and haven't stopped thinking about the food since! We ordered the Kalbi Jjim Eggs Benedict, Classic Avocado Toast, and Prosciutto Burrata Hot Honey Toast. I really enjoyed the unique take on the avocado toast, with the furikake and cucumbers added a refreshing touch. For the prosciutto toast, you can never go wrong with hot honey and burrata altogether. The eggs benedict was my absolute favorite and I can't wait to make a visit just for that again. The food quality was terrible. My salmon toast wasn't toasted, the eggs on the eggs benedict was overcooked, and the ube french toast didn't taste like ube. In addition to the low quality food, service was horrible. The girl who took my order had a bad attitude and when my partner asked for a refill on the water cup dispenser, the worker refilled without having said a word or acknowledgement. The food looks pretty but doesn't taste good and it took 50 minutes for everything to come out. Everything we tried was delicious, but the standout for me was the Banana Biscoff French Toast--absolute perfection. The custard inside made it extra good and I couldn't stop eating it. We saw this place all over social media and decided to give it a try because we're a huge fan of Korean fusion spots. It was a bit busy on a Sunday morning, but was sat down within 15-20 minutes since checking in. Everything on the menu caught our attention and sounded so delicious... it was all very underwhelming. First upon seating, it was a little confusing when they were assigning the tables to us. The hostess just pointed to a table outside and described who/what was next to it. Why not just pre-assign table numbers? It would be easier than saying "you're at that table next to the guy with the hat and glasses." We paid about $80 total (including tip which should've been deducted further for the least attentive service). We ordered the smoked brisket breakfast burrito, kalbi jim eggs benedict, matcha soufflé pancake, slow drip coffee, orange juice (12oz), and a strawberry matcha latte with oat milk. The cashier told us that it would take 30 min for the soufflé pancake to be out-- that was fine because we would be enjoying our other items (or we assumed). And what did you know, it did come out 30 minutes later, but our other food items didn't come out until 45-50 minutes after ordering. Matcha soufflé pancake: straight up tasted like eggs. We've had these before at other restaurants and it had a nicer flavor than this. Did not enjoy it as much as we hoped. Brisket Breakfast burrito: Dry, dry, dry. The brisket had a very stringy texture, similar to jerky. It was hard to eat without dousing it with salsa to moisten it back up. It also came out barely warm. Kalbi jim eggs benedict: Not sure if they understand what a poached eggs are, but the whites were very undercooked leaving that opaque film you would see on a sunny side up egg. Also, the meat was dry, and the food came out barely warm too. For being 50 minutes late to the table, we would've hoped it was at least warmer than what we received. The home fries weren't great either and wished it was crisped up or seasoned a little more. The drinks were okay. Matcha was a little grainier than expected. At the end of our meal, we asked for boxes and the server completely forgot for about 15 minutes until we got up to the counter to ask. He saw us and admitted he did forget so... Overall, this place was okay. We're hoping they'll take the time to improve on their service and food. Ample parking - even if you come with a large group, you won't have trouble finding any parking as there is a huge lot. Once we entered, we were greeted by friendly staff who took our orders and throughout the meal the wait staff checked on us and took away plates as needed to clear our table for us. There is a good variety of options to satisfy a group with sweet and savory preferences and I was personally excited to see creative dishes like kalbi jjim eggs benedict, biscoff banana french toast, shashouka, etc on the menu. I went to celebrate my nieces birthday and it did not disappoint. I joined the waiting list straight from yelp and I was notified when my table was ready. You can sit inside or outside. want to start this review off by saying that once kitch cafe gets its legs, it's going to be an absolute gem of a brunch spot. that being said, i think they are unfortunately underprepared for the amount of hype that has already generated around them for having such a fun korean fusion menu. like others have said so far, they just opened so they're still figuring things out. today it took about an hour to get our eggs benedict entrees after sitting, and the kitchen was so overworked that the servers we saw kept having to ask about the matcha my friend had ordered. i think after about 5 times we eventually got it? but i'm not going to completely hold it against them because i'm honestly surprised we were even able to find somewhere to sit with how crowded it was. i had an iced latte with oat milk, which was alright. the pork belly eggs benedict was... just bacon, not pork belly. it tasted good, but i was slightly let down since i expected, well... pork belly. the sauce and eggs were lovely, but the biscuit was hard. my friend enjoyed the galbi jjim eggs benedict but had the same concerns with the biscuit. we shared the ube french toast, but it was cold by the time we got utensils and i didn't taste any ube flavour, just a basic cream sauce with blueberries. the custard inside the pieces of french toast was delicious though! the staff were apologetic and i don't hold any of this against them, i can't imagine just opening and having to try and deal with crowds that you weren't prepared for! really wish there was an easier way to tip the servers as i don't keep any cash on me :( i'm excited to come back and try them again once the launch quiets down a little and they clean their processes up. it's genuinely such a cute little spot and i'd love to see them thrive! read more

I was excited to try Kitch Cafe, especially since it just opened a few days ago, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. It seems like the staff was undertrained before the opening, leading to major service issues. We ordered two matchas, which took 45 minutes to arrive, and one was noticeably better than the other--lacking consistency. The wait was even more frustrating because we were told to wait in the lobby for our drinks, standing there for over 20 minutes with no callout at the counter. When we finally asked, they mentioned that it was their first day launching drinks (on a Saturday)--which explained some of the confusion, but it didn't make the experience any better. The cafe operates in a quick-service style, where you order at the counter and then find a seat, but even that was a struggle. We waited 20 minutes to find a table and had to ask for assistance multiple times before finally getting help, as other customers kept taking open spots before us. For food, we ordered the Korean Short Rib Benedict, which arrived cold after a 30-minute wait. We even saw waiters wandering around for 10 minutes, unsure of where to deliver it. On top of that, we ordered the Bruschetta Toast with sourdough bread, but it was served on multigrain instead. When we pointed this out, the waiter dismissively said, "You're supposed to tell them which one you want,"--even though we had already specified sourdough. The remake also took a frustratingly long time. That said, Marina was incredibly helpful and truly tried to turn the experience around for us. While the rest of the staff seemed to forget our requests, she remembered everything and did her best to piece things together and make the situation better. Her attentiveness was greatly appreciated. The manager was friendly and apologetic, which we also appreciated, but the overall service was slow, disorganized, and dismissive at times. What should have been a quick brunch turned into a two-hour ordeal--far longer than a typical brunch experience. Given the high prices, the overall experience did not match the cost. I understand that new openings come with growing pains, but the long wait times, lack of organization, and inconsistent service make it hard to recommend at this point. I came as a party of 2 on March 14, 2025. It was around 11:45 am. We ordered a Kalbi Jjim Eggs Benedict with French Fries, an original Brûlée Brick French Toast, and 2 hot lattes. The coffees came in about 10 minutes. The coffee was actually pretty good, they make their lattes well. We waited for our food to arrive for a while, but it wasn't coming out. We started getting bothered around 20 minutes in, but we decided to wait a little longer. About 30 minutes in we still didn't have a single plate of food served to us, so I went up to the front and asked how long it'd take for our food to get ready. After checking with the kitchen, they said it'd come out in just a few minutes, so we waited. 35 minute in, they served our Kalbi Jjim Eggs Benedict. We didn't start eating the food of course, because we wanted to take pictures of the food when they were all served. After a couple minutes, they came out with a plate of hash browns. We didn't order hash browns, we ordered french fries. Weird, but I just told them we got the wrong order. But when they came back to us a few minutes after, they said they ran out of french fries? And that hash browns were all they had left? I was confused as to why the cashier taking our order didn't clarify that, and the fact that they were saying they don't have fries in stock at 11 am in the morning. We looked over the wrong order being served, and waited a bit longer for the rest of our food. At the 45 minute mark of waiting we were getting too impatient to wait for the rest of our orders, and just asked to pack our order to-go. They said it'll be ready in just a second. After waiting 10 more minutes, we had enough and just asked for a refund on our whole order. Our Benedict got cold while waiting for our Brick Toast that still wasn't out. They said that a manager would be with us in a second. Almost an hour into us ordering, the order we asked to packed to-go came out, when we told them that we already asked for a refund instead. The manager wasn't out for another 10 minutes. At this point we just wanted to get our refund and leave, but when I asked again, the cashiers didn't give us a refund and told us to wait for the manager to be out. By this time, two parties of two that ordered after us already finished their meal and left. When the manager came out, it's been an hour since we ordered, and 10 minutes after we asked for a refund. He told me that he's sorry at first, while giving me a refund, that the kitchen was making our "new" orders. I was happy that they offered us new food instead of the cold food we had at our table, which was still missing an order. Until they told me that they couldn't refund me the tip. I ended up getting a refund on $48 of the $50 I spent on two food items and two drinks. But after waiting on our "new" food back at our table, the manager comes out with an empty bag and two to-go boxes. (Where's our remade order?) When I asked for the food, the manager says that the servers already threw it away. We saw our bag on the counter. I had to ask for our already bagged, cold Brick Toast order from 30 minutes ago. So we got the wrong order, didn't get our first order for 30 minutes, didn't get the rest of our order for an hour, didn't get a full refund, and got lied to that we'd get our cold food remade. Oh, and they didn't pack us utensils or napkins with the empty to-go bag. I'd leave a more ruthless review if the food was terrible as well.
