I will start off by saying the item I had planned on getting was no longer on the menu, so that was a bummer. I ended up going with the brisket burrito and I was not a fan of it. It was not what I was expecting, and was VERY sweet. :( The marshmallow treat I got was delicious, though. Everyone elses food looked really good, and their salsa was good! I had the best soufflé pancakes when I was in Kyoto recently. As soon as I came back home, I wanted to eat more! Kitch Cafe had them on their menu, so I stopped by for brunch to satisfy my cravings. They have three flavors to choose from. I got the matcha, which is supposed to be topped with blueberries and powdered sugar. Definitely came with a lot of sugar, though the fruit was mysteriously absent. Besides that, the pancakes were fairly fluffy and paired well with the sweet cream. I've passed by this place a few times when trying out other spots in this plaza and its always packed when I pass by. Finally had a chance to check it out and I love that there's outdoor seating. It was a beautiful day so we went inside, ordered and went outside to sit. In term of food, the spicy pork belly taco is well seasoning, but lack of spicy. I wish they added some type if slaw on top, it would enhance the dish. We ordered a kalbi Benedict and brisket burrito and both were so sad... the Benedict's poached egg was really running and undercooked, and its muffin was not really toasted. And the burritos rice was also undercooked. We waited more than 20 mins for our food and everything was undercooked. The manager did apologize and comp us Nutella fluffy pancake, really nice of them. The sitting area was nice and chill, and we were able to walk to Barnes Nobles right after brunch which is a huge plus. Stopped by after hearing great things about this spot. The location is nice, and the outdoor seating area has great views, which made for a relaxing atmosphere. We ordered two strawberry matchas and two bacon burritos and grabbed a table outside. The wait ended up being longer than expected, and we noticed a couple of guests who ordered after us received their food and drinks first. However, the staff apologized for the delay and generously brought out pancakes on the house, which was a very thoughtful gesture and definitely made up for the wait. The bacon burritos were worth the price! I'd give them an 8/10. The strawberry matchas were also very good, another 8/10. The complimentary pancakes were fluffy and tasty as well, around a 7/10. I came because I wanted a coffee/matcha. I got matcha strawberry and waited for lunch time while I worked a bit. I looked at the menu and saw so many things that caught my eyes. I might have been way too hungry and was going to get the Chinese chicken salad but I was debating between that and the burrito. First off, the guy who took our order at the counter seemed very distracted and unengaged, almost like he didn't want to be there, which wasn't the best first impression. We ordered an iced banana cream latte, iced banana cream matcha, a bacon breakfast burrito, and the matcha soufflé pancake. Starting with the drinks-they were delicious and definitely the highlight of our visit. As for the food, the bacon breakfast burrito was good but nothing memorable. Finally found a new favorite dessert place! It's located within the shopping center and there's ample parking. Inside is super spacious. Order is done by online/qr code on the table. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I tried the strawberry, melon, and injeolmi shaved snow (attached pictures are size small). I recommend ordering small sizes if you want to try multiple flavors, as even this is fulfilling. It's the perfect bingsoo that I've been looking for--already condensed milk-flavored ice that isn't bland, and more toppings that are layered in the middle. They were SOO GOOOOD. We both ordered the same, 2x Matcha Soufflé Pancake and 2x Drip Coffee. For half & half, the trend these days are the mini individual cups but at least it was a brand name. Drip Coffee $4 Matcha Soufflé Pancake $15 Served with blueberries and sweet cream, dusted with matcha powdered sugar. Keep in mind that soufflé pancakes take at least 30 minutes, and one cannot order them to-go because it would not be fluffy anymore, and could also deflate when taking leftovers home. My leftover soufflé pancakes actually retained their shape. Funnily enough, a friend of mine just happened to be there the night before after their dinner at 88 Katsu and ordered bingsoo for dessert here at Kitch Cafe. Service was interesting - I do not know how to describe it. I guess it's more of a "quick-service restaurant" than an actual sit down service restaurant. One can ask for refills for their coffee, but the workers stopped stopping by our table after 1 refill. I had asked for more creamer for my refill and my friend's first coffee but they never brought any, so I had went up to the counter to ask the worker for a few more creamers. I didn't realize that there were some extra half & half creamers near the right side of the counter, which I did not realize until I had returned from using the restroom. There are 2 unisex restrooms for customers. Kitch Cafe is located in the Amerige Heights Town Center, where the row of one-way parking is, across from Barnes & Noble and also near dPlace Steak & Pasta, which is one of my favorites. Casual but the cutest Korean breakfast cafe I stumbled upon in Buena Park! What enticed me was their creative menu of Korean cuisine and my favorite brunch foods. The waitlist grew upon arrival, and for that, the staff offered us some water for waiting outside. Blueberry Matcha Pancakes (3/5): One thing that caught my attention were the fluffy pancakes. For some reason I thought these pancakes took a while to prepare, however, that was not the case and were ready a few minutes after we placed our order. I do admit the presentation and lack of flavor was noticeable. It could use more cream or some syrup. Kalbi-Jjim Eggs Benedict (4/5): Absolutely delicious! The gochujang hollandaise sauce was creamy and savory. Hashbrowns of our side choice were crispy and flakey. The short rib was soft and not dry. Went on a mid Saturday morning for breakfast because we had another store to visit down in the OC area. We got there around 9 AM and it wasn't crowded - You walk in and you're taken to your seat and can either scan their menu or look at the plastic menus they have at the table. I got their Shakshouka ($15) - Eggs poached in a tomato sauce with various spices and four pieces of sourdough toast. Additionally, I added a Hojicha Black Sesame Iced Latte ($6.50). Honestly, their Shakshouka was just okay. I thought it was a tad spicy, but otherwise, the flavor just wasn't coming through. I did really like their sourdough bread and I'm glad it came with four slices (Some places only give you two!). I really liked their Hojicha Latte - Refreshing, smooth, and baby friendly (meaning not too much caffeine!) I think my husband got their Kalbi Jjim Eggs Benedict ($21) - Korean braised short rib with two poached eggs on topped with a gochugaru hollandaise sauce and potatoes. He also got a hot coffee (I forgot what it's called). He thought his dish was too salty and that over powered any of the other flavor that was part of the dish. Then there was the Matcha Souffle Pancakse ($15). These weren't as fluffy as we thought they'd be, but they were still light and airy with a hint of Matcha flavor. Paired well with the whip cream and was a sweet treat to end our breakfast on. There's plenty of seats inside for big and small groups. There is an outside patio, but if it's really hot, they don't have a lot of shaded area's depending on when you dine in, so I'd opt to sit inside. There are two bathrooms for both genders, one of the doors is pretty hard to open and close. Parking shouldn't be an issue as there's tons of spaces around Kitch (just maybe not as much directly in front of it if you get there late). When we left around 10:45/11 AM, there were people waiting to get in, so come early if you don't want a wait. They also offer Yelp check in. French toast is a must! It had the perfect balance of sweetness and savory flavors. We expected it to be too sweet, so we asked for the sauce on the side but it turned out just right on its own! On the other hand, the chimichurri burrito was mediocre. The "chimichurri" sauce tasted nothing like chimichurri.. it was more like a green salsa. Also wish the tortilla was more crispy.
