We got take out of the roast pork and roast chicken. And wow definitely one of the best ones I've tried! The roast pork had a delicious flavor, I didn't even need to dip it in any sauce it was so flavorful. It had a good lean/fat ratio. And the roast chicken was very lean. No fat whatsoever. Really enjoyed both of these dishes!

The hanging roast ducks is what brought us in but the interior was surprisingly beautiful! It was a cold morning that December and was grateful when the server seated us much further in so it would be warmer. With our party of four, we were a little over ambitious with what we ordered * Hoisin & Peanut Sauce Rice Rolls $6.25 - I enjoyed this as we don't get it very often. * Roast Duck on Rice $11 - We got three orders of this - one for each person. * Combo of Roast Duck and Crispy Roast Park on Rice $11 plus 25 cents This was our first meal of the day and these portions were very generous! We all had leftovers, especially since we ordered the rice rolls. In retrospect, we could have gone with 2-3 orders of roast duck and been fine. So on that note, it was a great value to us! I noticed many people order their clay pot dishes which looked quite delicious. And the hanging Chinese donut is a sight to see for sure! We also returned a few days later to get a few orders to go for our flight out. It was a bit messy though as the duck juices did leak all over the plastic bags during security screening. (In retrospect, we should have made sure the bags stayed upright the whole time.). Nonetheless, it was a great meal at the airport or would have been during our flight but we were hungry.

First time trying Kings Kitchen and from my understanding this is the first location in Queens. There are other locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn which have been open for decades. Loved the modern decor of this location compared to the rest. We decided to get BBQ pork, fisherman congee, and wonton with country braised duck over flat rice noodles. The BBQ pork was succulent and had a fantastic sweet glaze. The congee was filled with seafood, even fish fillets which was a nice surprise. The noodle soup broth was pretty bland and my first choice would have been roast duck but that was unfortunately sold out. The braised duck was recommended as a substitute which seemed fine but in hindsight since the fat wasn't rendered off the skin, it was quite fatty and oily. The roast duck would've been the better choice. The wontons were mediocre as expected. This restaurant gave me the feeling of Red Bowl which was the staple late night fare in Flushing in the past with a similar menu and they are open until 2am.

Cuisine: 6 Service: 7 Decor: 7 Value: 6 Overall: 6 Let me start off by saying that I love both King's Kitchen in Brooklyn and Chinatown, therefore. i was very excited to see a branch open in Flushing. Sadly, this location does not live up to the reputation. The decor was nice the service was fine. However, the food portions and quality left a little to be desired. Preserved Meat Clay Pot Rice (6/10) - We came for this item, but it was disappointing. The clay pot felt small and the rice was too crispy, almost hard. Not just the bottom as expected, most of the rice was too hard and hurt the jaw. The preserved meats were okay, but only two kinds. Triple Roast Meat Combo (6.5/10) - Best of the bunch might have been the roast duck. The scallion chicken was not traditional, but flavorful. Unfortunately both came with mostly bones, which makes this order quite expensive. Lastly, the roast pork came way too lean, especially when we requested specifically for the meat to be not too lean. Beef Chow Fun (6/10) - The noodles were somewhat light in flavor, lacking in wok hey, and some of the beef was way too chewy. What I liked was that there were plenty of bean sprouts. However, it needed more red onions and chives. Dried Shrimp Steamed Rice Roll (8/10) - Unanimous best dish of the night. Smooth and just the right thickness, perfect consistency. The flavor was great too. Maybe needed a tad more soy sauce. I'll give it a few more months for them to work out their kinks and come try again. Hopefully I can update this review at that point.

2 meats over rice (bbq roast pork and crispy roast pork)

First time at this location (we usually eat at the East Broadway location in Chinatown) and was pleasantly surprised by the spacious and somewhat modern seating inside. There were nice booths and round tables for slightly larger groups. Food was great and the bbq roast meats were just as good as we have had at the other location. This location is smack in the middle of Main Street off of Roosevelt which is generally chaotic but it was nice to be able to have a sit down meal with full service for reasonable prices and great flavors. This location had a wider selection of special dishes too.

[Project Hong Kong Milk Tea - King's Kitchen] {Seeking the best Hong Kong Milk Tea in NYC} Grade: 73 of 100 Worth Trying : 3 out of 5 Craving for HK tea in a cold winter day to a point my nose became sensitive to drive my legs to find the closest place the offer HK milk tea. Yes! A Cantonese congee, bbq, casserole restaurant (This is so HK, when one signature dish is not enough). The Milk Tea. It has good aroma. The color looks good and it tells me they are using the right tea leaves and evaporated milk. There was a strong bitterness texture yet somewhat light in its body. My educated guess is either the portion of the fine and coarse grinds differentiated its body and texture. I tried to compare the tea with the "free" tea that offer upon searing. The "free" tea indeed has stronger body than the paid one. Perhaps, the tea can be improved by trying the proportion of the leaves and brewing time. Well, this is a congee restaurant. Certainly I also order my favorite, Stockfish and Peanut Congee and plain rice roll. I like the crispy flake that bought a lot of my childhood memories in HK. The conference itself stayed creamy for a slow eater like me. Good job. The rice roll is smooth and tender, and the soy sauce is a perfect match. About the ambiance, although the food I ordered are something found everywhere in Hong Kong, probably with a way lower price. I am still satisfied that the decor made me feel I am in a fancy fine dining restaurant in Central, HK. Well Well Well, I think it is better they hire a hostess. I stood there for about 5 minutes and I don't know where to sit. I saw two customers seemingly frequent ones walked by me and sat themselves. Finally, somebody spotted me and seated me. They seems so focused on the take out order which compensated the service from the dining hall. It will be much better and worth the price if there is fine lady hostess in Qi Pu (Traditional Chinese Dress). Do be aware of more male customers will be coming for the hostess thou Calvin 奇雲 PS. Added old photos from the first time I came here. The Fried dough is awesome and so cool for pictures

This location is SO MUCH BETTER than the other locations of King's Kitchen in the city and BK. It's spacious and clean, service is also great, though for a Cantonese place I'd expect all servers to be able to speak Cantonese. The menu's also expansive, with many more choices than the other locations. We went for dishes and barbecue pork this time. The barbecue pork's much better than what we had before at other locations.

I'm surprised by the low reviews! I thought the food was delicious for its price point. When ordering, stay away from the larger dishes and order their clay pot rices, rice rolls, and other smaller dishes. All of the small dishes we ordered were so delicious! The fried dough (youtiao) was the showstopper. I've never had such a fresh version and I'd say this is a must. Their larger plates (seafood soup and cabbage vermicelli) were just okay and we probably wouldn't order again. Instead, we'd rather order more clay pit rice bowls or rice rolls. Interior is also clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely come back.

3.5 overall Ordered for takeout. They are conveniently located on Main Street by the subway station. There was a small line on a Saturday morning. They mostly speak Chinese. Rice Roll with Dried Shrimp was packed! It is more cilantro flavor than dried shrimp flavor, but still good flavors overall. The rice roll has a good texture and thinness. Char Siu Rice Roll was also packed. The char siu had pretty good flavor! It does not really need extra soy sauce. You Tiao was huge! It is crisp outside and soft inside. Super oily though, even after dabbing it with paper towel, so not for me. I could only eat one bite. Wonton Noodle has good noodle texture. The soup compliments the noodles. The wonton has good pork filling, but no shrimp, which I prefer in my wonton. Note: no tax with cash Will have to try the roasted meats next time!

Read so many bad reviews, but still decided to give it a try... first off the place was really clean. Was seated right away, and given tea. I ordered the roast duck and soy chicken over rice. WOW wow wow!!! 10/10 the garlic sauce over give it an amazing taste. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. Definitely recommend it

    Yellow eel rice casserole
    Cyrus T.

One of the few restaurants that sells yellow eel rice casserole. I was surprise to see it was only $15. The one I had in Brooklyn cost a lot more. We'll, you get what you paid for. This one doesnt taste good. It has some oily taste.. The salty fish meat rice casserole is decent. I tastes the salty fish. I had better rice casserole in other restaurants in Queens. I think the soy sauce is not as tasty as I had in other restaurants....

Ate here today with my mom for lunch. We definitely got different kinds of dishes to eat and share together. The service there was also attentive and quite fast and efficient and the food we got absolutely delicious and savory. We couldn't agree more about it. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :)

Came here on a rainy day so I enjoyed the fact that they were serving hot tea. The interior was very clean and refreshing and the aroma of all the food definitely worked up my appetite. We got a dish of stir fried fish, clay pot rice, char siu and bbq pork ribs as well as durian puffs. The durian puffs were delicious and was definitely my favorite but that is because I usually love durian however it was just pretty pricey (basically 3 dollar per puff). Other than that, I also really enjoyed the cuts of char siu and bbq pork ribs. However, I did not enjoy the clay pot rice which is a dish that I usually love. I thought that it was pretty flavorless. The fish also caught me by surprise. I thought it was just regular stirred fish but the texture was so similar to like a squid air something. It was weirdly bouncy The staff were super sweet though and checked up on us here and there. Will definitely be back again to try their duck and some other dishes in the future.

The staff wanted my wife to sit at an angle to the table; so that they could pass through. The seafood itself was solid traditional Cantonese fare with fresh lobster tanks, steamed fish, and classic banquet-style dishes. The atmosphere felt colorful authentic Hong Kong banquet hall energy. However, some of their pricing was completely out of whack. Mother's Day premium for sure which is understandable, but some dishes were simply excessively expensive for what was delivered. For example, our two lobsters, while fresh, were missing that smoky "wok hei" flavor that great Cantonese kitchens are known for. It lacked the depth, aroma, and richness one expects from a proper high-heat wok preparation. A few items felt priced more for Guide Michelin luxury dining than a Flushing seafood hall. This said, the service was efficient and professional; changing plates all the time. So a high level of attention above the usual Cantonese restaurant. Overall, decent food in and an authentic Hong Kong style restaurant that targets special family gatherings, but be prepared, both the crowds and the bill can become overwhelming very quickly. I paid more than $400 for three people. But we had a Tiger Fish which is $50 per pound.

I have so many reasons to believe that Emperor is truly the reincarnation of the restaurant...just a little rusty. I've only come here for dim sum and I'm still surprised it doesn't get even half of the insane volume that nearby dim sum restaurants get, especially with how much closer they are to Roosevelt Ave. I have to say that the dim sum here is slightly better than most locations in the core downtown area, both in presentation and taste. No cart ladies, just a paper and pencil ordering system. The other diners that I usually encounter seem to strike me as locals, which is becoming harder to find these days. Prices are slightly more expensive than the other places, which is probably a factor as to why there aren't as many customers. The other reason is probably the subpar customer service here, which I've encountered on a number of recent visits. There are so many workers here, but none of them seem to have any good grasp of what customer service is. For example, I've had the waiter hover over me as I was gathering cash for my bill and snatched it the moment I placed the money down, also demanding at least 18% (again, for subpar service). Also, if you complain to them about your food, even if you find a hair, they will not do anything about it. The food quality is slightly above most of the dim sum places, but also bear in mind the hit-or-miss service you'll get, which the latter can be super frustrating.

We decided to try last minute, we have a group of 30ppl, takes about 3-4 big tables They took our reservation last minute. Our family ordered a lot. There are some generally Good (4 stars) places, like Asian Jewels and Emperor Seafood, but most other places are somewhere between OK and Good (between 3 and 4 stars). Royal Queen 君豪大酒楼 is part of that latter group -- there are good things, but there is also mediocrity; and there are customer service issues. The good: - Beef Rice Noodle Rolls: The rice noodle rolls here are generally silky soft. There is supposedly parsley in the beef mince but we noticed little to none in the versions we've had. Royal Queen is generous with the sweetened soy sauce; they pour it from a teapot. - Pan-Fried Leek Dumplings 韭菜煎蝦餃: the shrimp are generally fresh and crisp. - Shrimp Siu Mai with Pork 蝦粒乾蒸燒賣: above average. - The Osmanthus Jelly 杞子桂花糕 has a deeper hue than most other places in Queens. The OK: - Five-Spice Braised Beef Tendon 五香蒸牛筋: pieces are generally little too large and not as consistently soft as other places. - Steamed Leek Dumplings: get the pan-fried version instead. - Stuffed Peppers 煎釀青椒: as with other places, inconsistently cleaned so there can be one or two bites that have an extreme amount of heat. - Shrimp Siu Mai: essentially the same as the ha gow, but in a different wrapper. I think we prefer the shrimp siu mai over the ha gow here. The Could Be Better: - Taro Dumplings (Wu Gok 芋角): lacks ingredients in the filling. - Staffing and Quality Control Issues: Royal Queen has plenty of staff, yet sometimes there aren't enough people working the dim-sum carts. Like many other Chinese restaurants, it seems that staff aren't empowered to address food quality issues. - The restrooms can be pretty good compared to those in other parts of the building. We observed people come into and out of the restaurant seemingly just to use the restrooms. However, there are times when the restrooms could be better maintained.

The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup.
