Came to Kim's nails with my wife. Upon entering the business no one greeted us. After sitting for several minutes without any acknowledgement from the staff, my wife asked if they accepted walk ins. Unbelievably Professional and completely disrespectful staff. I took my 11 year old step daughter to get her nails done for her birthday and only went here because it's close to our house. The lady doing her nails was staring at her and saying somthing to the other employee , making it obvious it was about her I asked what are you saying. She said her face black , pointing out all her black heads on her face, I still try to hold back asking if she was offering her a facial of some sort is why she mentioned it. But NO! She said it's all over and pointed at her chin cheek and forehead. She is a young girl going through hormones on top of how the world expects you to look to have to experience a rude ass bitch hiding behind her mask. I was disgusted and astonished at the absolute disregard for a young girls self Esteem. I will never go to this business again as they don't deserve any. I have been to this place once before for a pedicure and went back again today. They greeted me when I walked in and told me to have a seat. I waited about 45 mins and I asked how long it would take she said 5 more mins. There were 2 customers that came in who had appointments and were served which was fine. There were 2 others however who got there a good 30 mins after me and were helped first. Another lady who was there before me said the same thing was happened to her. I was very disappointed because they could have told me to come back instead they said "5 minutes" and had me wait like 20 before I decided to leave. Wouldn't come back here again. read more

I just moved to Riverside and was in need of a new nail salon. I walked into Kim's Nails this morning and was greeted and asked to come back at noon. I showed back up right at noon and was greeted by the same nice lady, her name is Anna. I had so much fun getting my nails done, all the ladies that work there are very friendly and engage in conversations with the clients, I even got to know all the names of the ladies that work there and met some of their regular clients who have been going there for 15 years plus! I told Anna that I am a very loyal customer and if she did a good job today, that I will be back and be one of her regulars...Anna did an amazing job! I've been coming here for years because they're convenient and cheaper than other places. Well I'm done! Every time I come in there is another circumstance. Today the nail tech I received apparently was not capable of performing all of the usual parts of a manicure (arm and hand massage, buffing, etc.) so I got pawned-off on someone else. My partner and I went in together and I watched him get a full-service manicure while I got a substandard one; yet we paid the same price! Let me add, the constant talking and laughing among themselves in Vietnamese, while the rest of us are ignored, is not only rude and unprofessional, it's offensive. I won't be back! read more

Came without an appointment and when I walked in it took awhile to be greeted even though they weren't very busy. Stopped in with a Friend to get a Pedicure, this is a nice shop the employees are friendly and the work they did on our feets was Excellent depending on what you choose for your pedicure, as for us we got messages for 10 minutes, they used these warming stones and Sea Salt rub to get rid of all calluses, my friend even got her face waxed with no problems. I personally will not ever go here again. I've been desperate for a pedicure and instead of going here, I let my 8 year old niece do it. I've tried this place three separate times and I was let down every time. The customer service here is by far the worst experience I've had when It comes to getting my nails done. Let my start by saying That I only tried this place three times because of its location. It's so close to my office so during my lunch break I like to maintain my french tip toes and occasionally get my nails done either with pink and white or with Gel Every time I would come in, I would get dirty looks from the technicians and they always seemed annoyed, Not just with me but literally with every customer that walked in the door. Not only were they rude, but the pricing was never the same. They charged $5 more for me to get french tip (usually it cost more so that's understandable) But then they said it was $3 extra for WHITE french tip. They charged me extra to cut my nails? The Additional hidden charges that My technician was telling the gir,l who was ringing me up, seemed to even shock her. What really shocked me was that they charged me $5 more to put a clear coat on my new full set... Not a Gel top coat... just a plain clear coat. In addition to the poor customer service, the fill I had at this salon was less than okay, They didnt remove or really clean up the parts that had lifted from the previous work they had done.Needless to say I was EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED read more

Ugh I could spend a day complaining about this place! Stopped by on a whim to get some acrylics removed, while the staff was nice enough. They used an a press on nail to remove my acrylics! Yes, those plastic press ons thing that are used for acrylics were used to remove mine!!! The lady said it was because I don't have nail beds, but in my many years of manicures I've never heard that, much less have my acrylics removed with another acrylic. Whatever! read more

She also would stop and have me look in the mirror so she could explain what she was getting ready to do. In addition, I told her I wanted my callouses removed. She said, "You really don't have any. The 1st time I went to this shop the lady said it would be a 5 min wait and the 5 min became 35 min!!! I just walked out! The 2nd time I went in I waited another 40 min and walked out again!!! Which by the way they didn't seem to care. The 3rd time was just crazy I was the only one there and I waited 45 minutes and again walked out. Oh and on Sunday's they don't do waxing!!!!! Well I'm new to the area and was not sure of a place to go so , I took to Yelp to find the closest place to my job that was open after 6. Kind of tough to find normally! Well, Kim nails popped up and I noticed they were open until 7 and right across the street from my job. Took a chance, gave them a call, and set an appointment. When I got there I told them I wanted a fill and they sat me right down and started. I sat with Michelle and she was very light handed and did everything I asked without hesitation. I am a pretty quiet person when it comes to getting my nails done because I observe the whole process, she did not once make me feel unwanted or uncomfortable. She was really nice and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend asking for her if you are going in to get some acrylic nails, she is amazing.
