I started going there in the last couple months, off and one for pedicure. I walked in with no appointment. The lady was finishing 3 customers getting pedicures. She acknowledged me, Said can you come back in 15 minutes. No problem, has I had no appointment. Came back was very happy with my pedicure! It was quiet,lots of reading(a plus) the place was clean. This older gal was great, very friendly, need to get here name next time . She is the pedi lady that I have ! I now always make an appointment. Works better for them. I have only seen this gal, and another gal who does nails. I did call once to make an appointment for eyebrows. That experience not so good. Was told,"I don't know when she come in" end Of conversation, kind of rude,oh well I thought your loss. I definitely won't be back here. The gel nail polish is streaky. It seemed like the person that did the polish change for me was rushing. With the drillhead she was using, she kept knicking my nails on the side uncomfortably when she was removing the previous polish. Then she was filing my nails, and she ruined the shape. She should have just left the shape. You can see how ugly the coffin shape is after she got a hold of my nails. I'm not thrilled with this place, at all. read more

On my 4th visit here, the older lady who helped me rushed through, even though I had an appointment and was on time leaving me feeling ripped off. I felt comfortable, welcomed and totally had a blast talking to her. I opted of a gel manicure. So many colors to choose from--- fast forward to 10 mins later, she worked on my nails. She complimented me on how strong my nails are (prenatals ftw) and asked how short I wanted, what shape etc... Maybe I should've spoken up but I thought the cut was a little too short... but it's ok. It usually lasts longer. She took her time and it wasn't too "clumpy or thick" I think she did a great job. It's $25 but they charge $1 for debit/credit. Many reasons why this place gets a 1 star review. Deserve 0 stars but 1 will do. Made an appointment here for the bride, bridesmaids, and family members and was told the salon would be reserved for us with champagne and snacks but nothing was promised. Instead when we got there, they told us they were noticed too late when we made the appointment over a week in advance. Also other people were sat down before us so everything was rushed. From the beginning the vibe of the salon was turning us down but we decided to stay and get our nails and pedicure done. After a friend went first to get ombré acrylic, it was a disaster from there. She left to another salon to take them off and restart. The mom and daughter duo were very messy and did not have a good clean nail look. Half of us stayed to finish while the other half left to get their nails done somewhere else. For those who stayed had nails that looked slanted, bubbly, bumpy, polish not fully covered, and not cleaned around the edges. This was literally a day before the wedding day and they were so careless. Definitely would not recommend for anyone for regular nails or for any big event. Lastly, also very confused as to why they have many awards when they do not meet the basic requirements for modest professionalism. read more

Never again. I came in for acrylics and it wasn't until she had already trimmed my nails and filed them down that I realized she was pulling her tools out of a case labeled "soiled". I figured there was no going back and the worst was over so I stayed. She made my cuticles bleed on more than one finger and one of them she put the acrylic over, essentially locking in the blood. The fake nails were not properly glued to my thumbs so there was a noticeably gap between my real finger nail and the fake finger nail. She got excess acrylic powder all over my fingers which normally I don't mind as it is easy and painless to peel off, except something happened with my pinky that she had to file the acrylic off and severely cut my finger in the process. I already knew I was never going back there again, but when I went to pay she almost demanded a tip from me; extremely rude. read more

Met up with my Sister and my Niece for a little girls afternoon out. My sister got a full set, plain for $18, my 5 yr old niece got her nails painted (with polka dots!) for just $6 and my pedicure with design was $21. Not sure how I feel about a pedicure costing more than a full set, but whatever. The girls in there were so nice and the one who did my little niece's nails was extremely patient with her as we all coached her through her first nail experience. She gets 5 stars! The only reason why this is a 3 star rating instead of a 4, is because my pedicure wasn't all it should have been. The polish and design job are beautiful, but I only received a calf massage with it. The girl barely slathered some lotion on my feet and didn't rub them at all. I decided to get a pedicure because I've had a sore foot and wanted a good foot rub. Although my toes look great, my foot is still killing me since it didn't get ANY attention with a massage. Really disappointed with that. This place is great! I walked in without an appointment and waited a quick 15 minutes for a manicure. There were so many choices I am glad I had time to look. Not only was there lots of colors but they had easily over 100 different choices for tips and fake nails, even like 10 hello kitty ones. The lady that worked on me took her time and was very precise. She gave me some great tips for upkeep too! I ended up getting tips with gel and it took about 45 minutes but well worth it. She did a great job and I will absolutely be back. It ended up being $38 but I didn't feel overcharged at all. The only reason I can't give them a five star rating it because it wasn't overly clean. Don't get me wrong all the tools and tubs were very clean. But the product shelves and the floor need a quick dusting and cleaning. read more

Really needed a pedicure, and felt homesick for hawaii, plus this place was rated so highly on yelp! Came in on a weekday afternoon so it was empty. Got a basic pedicure which was pretty good/average. The pressure on the massage was soo light, not exactly great for relaxation. But, I had a book with me so I could just zone out. I've never been to a place where they cut nails without a nail cutter, but I guess it worked. The price was super cheap, only $16! But, I needed to pay the $1 service fee to use my card. First time here. Went for a pedicure. Seated immediately. They worked fast. Too fast actually; my polish is lumpy, and I couldn't tell until after I left. Maybe it was the color I chose, but this is still unacceptable. Pricing: great. $15 is far below what I've paid in the past. I would say, all things considered, they probably deserve 3 (or more) stars, but the yelp! system only allows whole star ratings, and since I have to go home and re-do part of a service that I paid for...yeah. Two stars it is. Also note, they charge $.50 if you use a credit or debit card. Not much, but wow I hate that. A lot. Didn't factor into my rating. It's a small luau decorated themed nail shop that gets the job done. I got a pedicure with french tips and was satisfied. The price was around $20. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait, no t.v. and little talking amongst the ladies which made it an even more relaxing experience. This was my third time getting a pedicure at Aloha Nails and walked away happy and with pretty toes every time. I just get the basic pedicure which is $16. It's a cute comfortable salon. I love their massage chairs and wish I had one at home! They take their time. There was a smudge on one of my nails after they had been polished and I couldn't even tell, but the lady doing my pedicure told me, took off the polish and did it over. I have been to places where they wouldn't have cared or just seem to rush right through. So glad I finally found a good place close to home. I'd been going to Aloha for a couple of years and had been a loyal client to Angela (the owners daughter). Made sure that I always tipped her really well. I went a couple of months not coming in every two weeks and when I came back I made an appointment with Angela. Her knowing she had an appointment with me, took another girl ahead of me and made me wait for a half an hour while my friend that I was with had her pedicure almost done by the time I got started. Then she took off my gel and ruined my toe nails, the same toe on each foot. She acted like nothing and I didn't notice until after I took off the polish she put on. She actually tore my toe nails at the bottom near the skin and they both peeled off. Really good look for summer :( Needless to say I won't be going back. read more

LOVE coming here. The prices are good, the work is great. The only issue I've ever had is wait times, which just means I should make an appointment. The pedicures are good, but Lily is the best with acrylic nails. Highly recommend her work. Also, Tina (who owns the shop), does really great brow waxing. After calling 2 other nail salons that basically told me they could not accommodate her if she can't get up into the chairs, Aloha Nails did not even hesitate. Yelp needs a Zero option. I had pedicures with "N" here for years. Eventually, she got spoiled (would come in late, start me late, do a crap paint job etc), so I let her be without my on-time, high tipping, never stood her up patronage for a year. Recently, I scheduled 2 weeks in advance and showed up on time/at 9:00 am. They opened the front doors at 9:05, fooled around in there until 9:10 until I finally stood in front of her. She put my feet into cold water at 9:12. At 9:20, another of her customers who she spoke to by name, walked in and obviously had an appointment on top of mine. "N" had another staff member start on her more important client while she rushed through my service, didn't scrub my callouses that I asked her to, then slapped on half the coats of polish I asked for all because she had double booked me. I've never had a 30 minute, $25 pedicure and I don't recommend it. Oh, and the chair, floor and cupholder on the "new" chairs were FILTHY. I needed to use the restroom, but didn't dare. I was a customer of Tina's before she opened the shop.They have always done a wonderful job on my nails. They keep up with the latest trends and pride themselves on Good workmanship. This is the second time I have visited Aloha, and the experience was good! (both times) I got a pedicure, which is $21 - plus $1 if you pay with your card - and I enjoyed being pampered. I do want to say that you need to be specific about what you want right when you make your appointment or walk in. If you want calluses removed, tell them right when you sit down. They will give you the basic pedi unless you're specific, so don't wait for them to ask you. The basic pedicure is wonderful on it's own - my lower legs and feet are so relaxed from the massage. The place looks nice, but they do shitty work. I was thinking about calling, but what's the point, for them to do the same thing again?? I just rather stay away from this place altogether! They charged me $30 for painted on black tips. They were rude at the end when it was time for payment and the nail tech maddy is passive aggressive. Let me say I've been to many nail salons & spas, I come all the way from Los Angeles to Riverside to get my nails done by Angela. She's friendly & pleasant to talk too. There's NOT a lot of chitchat back in forth amongst the employees. They dedicate their services & attention to the customer. I truly enjoy my visit every 3 weeks.
