Original review: After researching nail salons for a couple of weeks, I decided to book with The Nail Salon. I scheduled my appointment through text and was asked to send a $20 deposit through Zelle, which I did during our conversation. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I didn't actually have one scheduled. I showed the text messages and proof of the deposit transaction. She explained that because I didn't specifically tell her the payment had been sent, she didn't realize the deposit was from me and never added me to the schedule. At that point, I probably should have left, but since they weren't busy and I had already paid the deposit, I decided to continue with the appointment. The pedicure was honestly very relaxing, and the massage portion was excellent. Unfortunately, the manicure experience was much different. I requested a full set, showed a couple of inspiration photos, and trusted the tech to choose the best products. During the application process, I noticed the nails were crooked and mentioned it. I was told they would be fixed, but the final result still looked uneven and nothing like the inspiration photos. What made the experience more uncomfortable was that multiple times during the manicure, the misunderstanding about the appointment was brought up and framed as entirely my fault, with no acknowledgment of the communication issue on both sides. I'm admittedly not someone who likes confrontation, so after bringing up the crooked nails once, I stayed quiet, paid, tipped, and left. I left disappointed because I had really hoped to find a salon I could return to regularly. The pedicure itself was great, but between the appointment confusion, the interaction during the service, and the quality of the manicure, I unfortunately won't be returning. I'll now need to pay another nail tech to correct the set.

My everyday decisions usually revolve around choices that involve food. When going out to chill with a friend or friends to go eat, drink or perhaps walk around, I never imagined myself walking into a spa to get a facial. Well, it happened and my thought process was "how bad would it be to have cucumber slices on my eyes?". There was no cucumbers, however, I was greatly impressed with Else Widjaja, the skin care specialist or esthetician remarkable skills in taking care of my skin. I do suffer from dry skin, which I thought was normal and occasionally breakout in rashes which is attributed to my mild eczema. Else took proper care and was very informative while she was applying her trade skills. The environment was very relaxing and tranquil. Greatness in services is found at this spa. Lora and Corrine did a wonderful job giving me a massage and giving advice. It is rare to have massage therapists specialize in ashiantsu. Dawn also did a wonderful job giving a facial and giving advice. It is a pleasure and a delight to see her when I enter the spa. April did a good job giving me a pedicure. Rosa gave me a massage at an event. She did a nice job too. All of the ladies are intelligent, and they made me feel comfortable. They were professional, polite, courteous, respectful, and above all very caring. The ladies also have good communication skills. I find that to be important when we need to communicate our needs with each other. I hope they continue to do a wonderful job at their spa and stay for as long as they would like to. Else your explanation of events and the conversation we had in your business are very very distorted to say the least. I would never ever recommend your business nor patron there ever again based upon what happened and then to top it off with your extremely distorted versions of what happened. The experience we had there is not by any means an isolated incident as I have found. of course we wouldn't be the only ones that had an experience like this. There is a reason why most of the therapists that were there for years under the previous owner have left this business. The victim card you're slinging just ain't jiving . read more
