I called and was assisted by John and he was able to service my husband and i today for two pedicures and a gel manicure. From answering the phone to coming to the shop, John had been very kind and had great customer service. He made sure i was comfortable and everything was good throughout the service. My manicure and both pedicures were excellent between him and the other lady (I believe her name is Nini or Mimi?), nonetheless, she was sweet and kind, did a great pedicure as well. I was really disappointed with my pedicure. It was an older lady that did my nails and I have never gotten a pedicure that was painful! Not only that, the nail polish on my toes had bubbles and it was just a very poor job. I finally asked the person who did my manicure (who did a much better job) to fix it for me. So unfortunately I have to tell this story because this is why we have yelp. I've been w the nail studio for the last year. John was my guy. At times I've been w Lucy. She's the sweetest and one of the best. This is why I'm sad to have to share this experience. They have recently hired a few girls finally which is good for them because that'll bring them more business but unfortunately, my last appointment I went with one of the new girls I was sad because I typically go w John or Lucy but I went with the flow. Now the lady did a good job with my nails and happy at the end of it. But unfortunately, the color I wanted, wasn't the color I left with. It wanted like a Tiffany's blue, but for some reason when she put in the airbrush gun it turned out to be a whitish color because she was adding alcohol. I believe to the airbrush machine or at least something that lighted the color. fine. So I made an appointment via text and I asked if they had an opening for a fill with a pedicure and I requested either John or Lucy no problem they made the appointment. I walk in and Lucy is with a client. fine again. John is nowhere to be seen and a new manicurist says I can take you. Once again, I go with the flow without complaint. In the midst of the service John comes out behind the curtain And I was surprised, but didn't say anything. John n Lucy were speaking to each other, I don't know what they were saying because they were speaking in their language and finally asked me did I have an appointment with Lucy or John. I said yes I had texted asking for Lucy or John. And they said they were confused because they thought I was a differently Lisa or something like that . at this point I'm I wasn't as disappointed because the young lady who did my nails also did a good job. So then I sat on the chair to get my pedicure with another new manicurist . Everything was going fine until it wasn't. It was in the mist of sitting on the chair and her putting some type of hot lotion or cream on my foot in a bag mind you they don't use water in their spa chairs for some reason. But nonetheless, I stuck my foot in the lotion well my hands were the gel light thingy. Then I screamed at the top of my lungs because the cream was burning my foot. It was borderline scolding Hot.I screamed to take it off. They all said they were sorry . I asked for some cold water or a cold towel for my foot please. At this point, I lost my whole enjoyment of the service. I also told him that I did not wanna move forward with the pedicure after that. I honestly was incomplete pain. The magic was gone. Mind you I was treating myself because I typically get a pedicure once a month if not every other month but it's Easter and mind you I did have a 50% off stamp card that I finally was able to use. As soon as they were done with my nails, I paid and I left and I was just so upset. Because I was so upset, I of course sent payment via Zelle, but an error on my part. I sent too much of a tip because I was going to tip the pedicure lady. I texted Lucy and or John to tell how sad I was with this last experience and the prior just to let them know. Of course, this was just between ourselves on a one-on-one basis. Lucy was kind enough to tell me she was so sorry and she refunded my money. I honestly wasn't looking for a full refund just more to let her know the experience was not pleasant. I sent the tip back on Zelle. Then shortly after John sent A message saying that the lady asked if I wanted John or Lucy. She did not or I would have went w them! at the end of his message he said we no longer need my service. Sent the tip money back. I'm at a complete loss of what I did wrong as the client!? I promise I wasn't wanting a refund. I was privately sharing my concerns in how i felt.When you find a nail shop and you find a good manicurist, don't you want to stay with them ? You don't wanna be pushed to the next person if you're a loyal customer . I'm so at a loss. Why would I want to be refund if I sent the money in n the first place. I was more upset about sending the additional tip that wasn't rendered but wouldn't expect them to refund that eithe. needless to say, Customer Service is a thing . And if you see something wrong and in what I did that's fine and fair but this is how they treated me by banning me from their nail salon for saying my piece. I'm so sad because Lucy is really great and I will miss her and John for that matter. But this is not right. So if you don't mind their children in the back fighting, playing, bumping chairs and coming out crying at times. If you're fine w paying for a basic, waterless pedicure for $35 in a tiny room, they have No walking in, appointments only By all means. Like John told me" great clients come and go!"
