I found this place on Google today and decided to give it a shot. My usual salon is closed on Sundays, but this was a convenient time for me to get a pedicure, so I found myself at Edgy Nails. Well, suffice it to say that this is my new "usual" place! From the moment I set foot in the door, I felt genuinely and warmly welcomed, and very much at ease (this is not a typical experience for me; it normally takes my knowing people very, very well before I'm really comfortable). There was such an air of positivity and just...sweetness...in this place! It's bright and airy, and the the staff are truly just very kind human beings. They are also quite funny - - all the chairs in the main room were occupied when I arrived, so the owner directed me to a smaller side room {which is open to the rest of the salon}, and joked that I got "private room, VIP area" seating. A bit later, a male technician giving a manicure near my chair began singing along unabashedly with the radio, and it was absolutely charming. These people are just "real." Emily did my pedicure (I got the "Special" pedicure, which is one level up from the most basic pedicure). She too had an incredibly warm, sweet vibe, and really took time and care with the service, obviously caring about the quality of her work and a great experience for the client. Not to be repetitive, but again - - I was kind of amazed with how relaxed and happy I felt the whole time. It was a markedly different experience than I've had in most other salons. The price was extremely reasonable, as well! I normally like to sit a good 15-20 minutes after my pedicure is done, just to make extra certain nothing happens to the polish. In other salons, that request has been met with resistance (even when they didn't need a chair), but Emily was very agreeable and laid-back about it, and indeed, when the 15 minutes were up, even suggested I sit and relax for a few more minutes. Another positive - - though they had the World Cup playing on TV, the volume was very low, so as not to compete with the music. I greatly appreciated this. Their choice of music was also really nice - - 70's, 80's, and 90's soft rock/pop. Chill, but not boring. I recommend this place without reservation, and I'll be back! read more

If you are hesitant to come to this place, please do not be. It is very welcoming and you should definitely come in!!! I walked in the other day did not make an appointment and I was seen right away. I always drive by this and I'm just so glad it's so near to my home. I know this may sound weird and it's my trauma speaking but -I felt so loved and cared for coming in there although it was my first time. I am really glad that I walked in because they have been nothing but so lovely and so, so wonderful. What I appreciate most is also the people who own it and staff there are also kind people. The owners Yvonne and Vincent are so great and genuinely kind. And it's not a fake smiles and fake customer service and two faced kind ya know?? They are just so respectful to each other and the way their demeanor and they speak kindly and polite to each other as husband and wife -you can tell that there is so much mutual respect and love between them and it's not like your usual husband and wife hostile behavior with a nail shop couple yelling and belittling each other in front of clients, etc. (Other staff are also very nice and welcoming!!!) People don't realize how rare it is to see a husband and wife, actually respect and love each other and speak to each other kindly or is that just my trauma speaking, lol but it was very healing to witness more than once. It just reflects the type of people they are, the managers they are, and the kind of healthy environment they provide by how they treat each other and staff. Not many people follow the golden rule to treat others how they want to be treated and it's very rare to experience common decency. 10 billion stars seriously!!!! Highly highly definitely recommend!!!!! My nails came out beautifully and perfect. I'm so obsessed. Major confidence boost as soon as we finished up. I got a milky gel and Vincent did beautiful work. He's very thorough, very kind, so gracious and made sure that I was comfortable the entire time and let me mess with my phone. I'm sure how annoying that could be for other people lol and they make it known, but there was not a single bad vibe here. There was no animosity no drama no negativity. It was just very peaceful in there and I'm really grateful that I got to experience this because it's been a long time since I've had a set of nails that I loved. I will definitely come here every time that I can for as long as I can to support them! I'm sad to write this but wanted to give a heads up. I wasn't going to say anything but I want to protect your health. My toes have been hurting ever since I went to this shop 2 weeks ago. I just noticed that my toe nail has turned green. I would not recommend this shop because their cleaning standards are not what I was expecting. I witnessed the following: they do not autoclave their tools, when I got a manicure they did not clean the work top after the previous customer left so I was placing my hands on the same towel the tech used for the previous 3 customers, some techs would not wash their hands once they were finished a client's pedicure (they would just go to the next person), they do not use new drills for your service, and they did not clean the pedicure chair or bowl when new customers sat down (they just changed the liner which would have holes in it). read more

I've been going to this nail shop for a while now and honestly up until today I've had a good experience and the work is always good. But today, the main who did my nails did an awful job. I asked him 3 different times to fix them and he half assed them every time! So when I go to the owner she tried to gas light me and tell me they look good and that's he's the best! Have come here 3 times and the techs are all very friendly and do a good job. Pricing is also great. Yvonne did my nails this last go around and they came out great compared to the photo I showed her. Only complaint so far is the wait times. Second time I came I ended up having to wait 1.5 hours even with an appt. This last time was a 20 minute wait with my appt. I scheduled an appointment for 3 pm. I was not seen until 45 minutes past my appointment time. I asked 30 minutes past my appointment time how much longer and they said 5 minutes but it took me almost walking out at 3:45 for someone to help me. They apologized for the wait and told me they would give me a discount so I stayed. I do appreciate the apology, but what only made me more frustrated is that half way through my appointment a walk in came in and they took that person back and started immediately on their pedicure. I had to sit for 45 minutes with cold water on my feet. I think they also did not do a good job on my hands. My toes look fine but my nails are jagged on my hands and the nail polish is on my skin in some areas. I will not be returning. read more

I went in after work one evening and had an appointment at 6pm, and the nail tech already had someone in her chair when I got there. She said that she will be with me "in a little bit" which ended up being over an hour. Today, I gave this place a second chance and showed up right when it opened. I asked the same lady if she was available and she said yes all while she was on her phone. Then she said if I could wait because she was going to do polish on someone really quick and it would take about 20 mins, but once again this was not true. After about 50 mins she told me her coworker will help me and she will draw in the white tip. **I literally asked for her** I walked out and went somewhere else. Shame on me for going back m. If a 3 star rating is average, and we're basing average on whether I'd come back again, I don't think I'd come back here. Getting the nails was a bit painful with the acrylics and the stuff getting on skin. The nails themselves didn't look like they were a natural angle if your nail were actually grown to that length, if that makes sense.
