My daughter went to Bee's Nails Salon for her first acrylic set and was really excited. The salon was nice, the staff was friendly, and they were accommodating overall. However, the pricing and communication were frustrating. The acrylics were $60, and French tips added another $25, making it $85 for a basic look. My daughter wanted simple polka dots, but we were told that would cost an extra $30, which felt excessive. I said she'd do the dots at home, but during the second hand, the French tip was done diagonally, leaving no room for dots later. When I asked if it could be changed, I was told it was already drying. They offered to add the dots, but still wanted another $30. I just wish there had been better communication before the nails were finished. A quick check-in about the design would have helped, especially for the price. I have given them a couple tries over the year they have been opened. They do have some great staff that is excellent at designs but... BUT THEY WILL CHARGE YOU $10 to peel/rip your old acrylic set off and if you complain and say it hurts and that you don't want your nail layers to be RIPPED they then offer you a warm bowl of acetone for you to dunk your hands in...mind you-they don't care that it dries out your skin. Oh-let's not forget that the warm bowl of acetone is an additional $15 compared to charging you $10 to RIP them off. I would say do them yourself but to each their own... My nail tech today complained about how thick the acrylic was on my nail, maam you need to have a talk with your coworkers because that was all them. Complaining to me how thick it is and "it take long time to take off*ugh*". That's not my fault, I'm a returning customer. I requested my cuticles to be cleaned at the beginning of my service. 1-it had been a while and they were looking nasty 2-I wanted a cleaner acrylic lay edge to the lunula of my nail/cuticle instead of it touching my cuticles like last time and causing lift... I mentioned it 4 times and she didn't clean them til AFTER the acrylic was laid down and shaped. $10 extra charge for cuticles and the owner had the audacity to argue with me when I asked why the cuticle removing was done after the acrylic. I calmly explained to owner that "I didn't know that. Now I do." But he continued to go on about how "nail salons don't do that anymore! It's been YEARS since they trim cuticle" I called 4 other salons in the area-yes they charge $4-7 for cuticle care BUT ITS DONE BEFORE ACRYLIC TO PREVENT LIFTING. Now-to my Mom's nails. She was convinced to try out GelX and let's just say she is not happy. There is a HUGE gap between her nail and the "press on" causing food, gardening materials and other things to get stuck inside. My mom stressed the fact of how she likes to stay clean and originally just wanted a regular manicure, especially since she is always typing on her work computer. read more

However, upon closer inspection, there are areas where the polish application lacks precision, with visible gaps exposing parts of the natural nail. There was also a delay of approximately 30 minutes for an eyebrow wax service, and the front desk acknowledged that they forgot about my appointment, and I still continued on with receiving and paying for these services. No adjustment or accommodation was offered following the delay. During the visit, multiple upsell attempts were made, which affected the overall experience. It was also not clearly communicated upfront that an additional $2 per service fee applies when using a credit card; this resulted in approximately $10 in extra charges, described as a forfeited discount for not paying with cash or Zelle. Sweet technicians, but the facility could benefit from improved attention to detail and overall service consistency. In response to the owner: I did receive waxing, BUT I was forgotten about and the front admitted as much. Please read in better detail next time. **took off another star for the argumentative and rude owner who also happened to not understand the situation in greater detail. The quality was horrible. When I walked in, I asked for a soak off and builder gel, and they said that was fine. Once I started getting my nails done, a young guy began working on them. Instead of soaking off my acrylics like I requested, he proceeded to pop them off, which broke all of my natural nails. That I had grown out for 2 months. He then asked what shape I wanted, and I clearly said square, but he still rounded all of them. The nails turned out horrible, and to make matters worse, he cut me and made my fingers bleed. I've been holding off with this review but even almost 2 weeks later, small little everyday chores have become a reminder of this painful experience so here we go. First off, the salon is beautiful and the two owners seem amazing. Request them if you can. Was intrigued and excited to learn a new spot with only raving reviews for the owners had opened up near Orangecrest. I had been out of town for a while and my go to gal wasn't available so I called on a weekday afternoon and was able to book an appt for later on that day which was perfect. Once I arrived I was sent over to have my pedicure done by an older lady and my structured gel manicure by a younger gentleman with a mask on. (Noting this as he was severely sniffling the entire time, my husband had allergies which flare up during the spring season so I assumed this was due to that but obviously this did not add to a relaxing time as we were pretty much less than a ft next to each other for the entire duration). As for the work, during my manicure the tech used only* a drill to remove the previous polish, destroyed my 100% healthy nails my nail gal helps to keep strong, gave burn marks and scratch abrasions all along the skin surrounding the base of the nails from filing at weird angles, filed multiple so incorrectly on the sides I now have extreme pain in multiple fingers from the sides of the nail digging into the skin as no proper clean up was done (hangnail galore T_T), and even completely shaved one nail down almost completely raw. Worst one is the pointer finger which he put on 5X the amount of structured gel polish he should have, causing it to drip down my finger then again rushed to dry it in that state! At that point the lady tech even started speaking up in Vietnamese which he then ended up shushing her then shaving this nail down so hard, there was literally a divot*** but before I could say something he then immediately filled the hole with the polish so that I wouldn't notice. This act alone should have had me ask for someone new immediately so definitely was a learning experience as I had never had anyone do work like this. Either way I kept having pain whether he was drilling or having me dry the polish causing me to intuitively yank my hand back from the sudden heat/shock of pain but the young male tech continuously kept rushing through and made me feel uncomfortable and not the experience I was expecting for $120ish + 20% tip. In the end a lot of these took over 1.5 weeks to heal and some are still in the process. On top of that, the left hand which was being yanked over to my right side to "get done" had polish all the way up to the skin once finished. Entire structured gel manicure was also done at the pedicure massage chair with no pillow in lap, just being pulled in one direction to get them done - until one of the owners came over and attempted to get me more comfortable at the end of my appointment. Again, the owners themselves seem so lovely and I had a nice interaction with one of them and from the photos/reviews I can see, their work IS quality. But my experience was not it and there's no way I would feel comfortable bringing my friends if this was my experience from this employee at the very least. Super unfortunate since if I did have one of the owners as my technician maybe at least one of the careless/endless mistakes would not have been made. read more

$72 overpriced. I asked what she was charging me for. I was charged for the fill a broken nail to shape my nails and cut them down. It stated $45 for gel refill so $27 was add ons. I would think $5 to fix a broken nail but I got charged $22 to shape and cut down which is ridiculous to me. It comes standard with the refill charged. I also called her prior because I was on my lunch break and she said yes come now. There I go only to have to wait another 12 minutes. Sad thing is I was looking for a nail place close to work because I just got transferred here so definitely not going back to this place so they can overcharge me.
