I've been coming here quite a few times since moving to the area in May, and it was the first salon I tried--and the one I've kept coming back to! I've had both manicures and pedicures, and I've been satisfied with my experience every time. The salon is always clean, everyone is incredibly kind, and the women who have done my nails are fast without ever making me feel rushed. I love that I'm not sitting there for hours but still leave with beautiful nails! The prices are also extremely fair, especially considering how long my nails last. I have stopped going to nail salons because well, my expectations I guess were too much. I came here because I was gifted a gift certificate from work. Decided to get the most basic hard gel mani. My gc was for $50 and I still paid $15 out of my pocket which made that a total of $65. My nails are short, sheer color and just wanted a hard gel or builder gel to not ruin my natural nails. I still feel like it's an acrylic overlay because I've never had builder gel or even hard gel feel like this. A little too dark in there for my liking. The set is cute tho. read more

Less than 1 star. Part II. Since my original post, I have lost 4 more nails. I am not shucking oysters. I was putting on a shirt when I had something scratch me shoulder. I shook my shirt and out drops a nail. (nail #2). Ugh! I am irritated. I needed to wash my a few dishes; I dry my hand and two more missing (Nails 3-4). I was on my way to the store and as I tapped my stirring wheel, I noticed two more gone (Nails 5). It is at that moment I turned my car around to go to the shop itself. I walked in and as you can guess, they were not listening. I didn't embarrass them as they had two customers in the chair, so I pulled the lady to the side to tell her. All she could say is, "Sophia is on her way and she can poolish for you." I rapidly decline. Sophia came in and says the same thing as before, "we are not responsible." The other lady tried to gaslight me by saying, "oh sometimes the nail is oily and they slip off." That is not my issue, if her technique is bad, then the outcome will be bad. They refused to refund me (even a portion). I have 5 nails in place. I was essentially dismissed. I hope they lose their license because they do not deserve to serve the community. I read more

Do a u-turn and find another place! If I could give a negative review, I would. It was a mystery as to where the swarm of fruit flies that was hovering over the manicurist head came from. The manicurists wore gloves during my pedicure giving a false sense of cleanliness. Twice the question was posed as to where the flies were coming from, no response. After several more swats (we too asked ourselves why we stayed. Don't do things out of desperation) we were informed that they came from outside. Interesting since the door that was pointed too was closed. Apparently it wasn't a big deal to them. In the end, the fly emersion experience must have been included in the total cost because it was pricy!! Also, the maní lady seemed I inconvenienced by our desire to have pretty nails. I came in on a Sunday and there was only one client getting their nails and toenails worked on. I got seated immediately. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. I asked for a pedicure and did not feel forced to add anything extra or do gel. I also needed previous gel removed. The removal was easy and I felt nothing. My nail tech took her time and made sure I was comfortable. I honestly never came before because of all the bad reviews I've seen on yelp, but I decided to try it for myself and I'm glad I did. The salon is really beautiful, modern, and clean inside, but unfortunately the service wasn't the best experience for me. The first time I went, I was seated right away. My pedicurist did a great job, but the nail tech kept pressuring me into getting a color I didn't want. She repeatedly told me it was "popular" and that "everyone likes it." It honestly felt like she just didn't want to get up and grab another color. I finally let her test it, but it looked almost completely clear and wasn't what I asked for. When I requested a different color, she seemed visibly irritated. I decided to give the salon another chance, but unfortunately I ended up with the same nail tech. This time my nails were uneven. Very uneven . Some were round while others were square. I had a very special even planned this weekend and now I'm insecure about my nails . When she asked what color I wanted and I said pink, she once again pushed the same color she recommended during my first visit. At that point I just went along with it because I already knew it would probably be my last time there. I don't enjoy going to places where I feel uncomfortable asking for the style or color I actually want. I also asked for a flower design, and instead of hand-drawn nail art, she pulled out cheap-looking stickers and had me choose from those. They were crooked, uneven, and full of bubbles like someone didn't even bother to do a proper job. The shape was awful, the polish was sloppy, and honestly, they looked better before I walked in. When I pointed it out, the staff caught the nastiest attitude--rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. No apology, no fix, just bad vibes and worse service. I don't care how pretty the place looks--the quality is trash and the people are worse. Never again. The woman who was doing my manicure is never attentive to each nail matching if you tell them anything they get upset I told her that I could see the prior red I had on my nails still and that a pale pink wouldn't cover she ignored my comment and continued to paint over my nail. Second of all i understand the time and pricing but i got short simple nails (full set) and did not expect to have to pay above $85, i typically spend $60 for a new set, also my friend did a fill and they charged her above $65, typically we spend $40 for a fill including gel. again, i understand because of the products but whats the difference from other nail places, its the same exact product brands. i understand maybe $10-15 extra but not $25 or more. read more

Never have I seen service not given to a customer!! My husband and I went for pedicures and they left him soaking in the chair (just water and nothing else) waiting for over an hour while they took in other walk-ins and started their service immediately; and no they did not have an appointment scheduled or did they share that there would be a delay IF those coming in were prescheduled. I don't know if they assumed that he would wait since we were together but it was inconsiderate and unprofessional. He was the only male in the salon (which can be intimidating with that alone) but to leave him unattended to and keep accepting other walk-ins instead of completing his service has resulted in them losing 2 customers and not 1. When you have the technician ready and available, to only service me, and not him leads me to wonder a lot of "what just happened" and why. I stopped in the middle of my own service (it was not completed) after watching my husband leave and not one technician apologized to him for the oversight. I was charged for my full service of $75 and have the transaction to prove it, for which I paid, and did let the technician Lily know who serviced me it was not her fault. Lily is very pleasant and attentive The lack of communication related to service is the reason we won't return. Not taking ownership for unsatisfactory customer services seems to be a trend based on other reviews read for the past several years back. Instead of responding with excuses in Yelp response, try an apology and making things right goes a long way. Advice to Management: don't place blame on the customer, if 2 people walk in at the same time and are together is just the same as 2 people walking in independently. Communication/transparency goes a long way. If there is pre scheduled appointments at the same time, say something or let people know waiting time versus getting them to the chair to sit and wait for AN HOUR. Working in retail means understanding the importance of a repeat customer. Look at prior Yelp reviews, if you see a pattern in your behavior, then FIX IT. Stop trying to be right. Focus on communication. Customers are understanding when there is transparent communication. Playing the defense game in a small community will result in lowered clientele especially with word of mouth occurs. read more

I highly don't recommend!! They overcharge and do a horrible job. I wanted a long set but the whole time the tech (male) was complaining about how no one in that area does long nails. If he did know how to do it then i wouldn't have continued. He also made me feel uncomfortable and keep telling me not to look at my nails while he was working on them and keep looking at me to make sure I wasn't looking. I'm not going to lie, I actually liked this place. They were new to the mission grove area and thought I'd give them a try. They actually because my nail salon but after this recent incident, I'm done. I get my nails done every 2 weeks and this last time was a nightmare. I got a full set on a Saturday, the lady filed the side of my nail down so far, she filed my skin off. I started bleeding and she just threw alcohol on it. So by Monday, hands start to hurt, I thought it was just my nails since I had got them so short. I couldn't really type at work, driving hurt and even showering. I finally looked at my nails Tuesday night and noticed that the tips of every finger was blistering. Assuming it was because the mail wasn't filed all the way down near my nail bed, I went ahead and filed it down and went about my day. As the days went on my fingers got worse. I went back in on Sunday 11/13/22 to let them know that my fingers were hurting and at this point I had scabs. I was polite and let them know what was going on and they immediately tried to make it seem like I was at fault for the blisters. I calmly just asked to take nails off because it was so bad. The lady had me soak my blistered fingers in acetone for several minutes at a time. It was unbearable to even get my nails taken off, I paid them and cried on my way because it felt worse. I went back into the shop on Monday 11/14/22 to show them that I went to urgent care and the doctor stated the blisters were from burns and immediately the worker started yelling and getting hostile. I informed her, I just wanted you to see what my hands looked like with the nails. She continued to yell and asked for a picture. I did as she asked and asked her why she was so upset when I was just trying to show her what happened. She then directed me to the phone number on their card and said call this number for the manager. I called and she was the one who answered the phone. So I then received a text asking to send my name, number, date of service and a picture of my fingers. I did as I was asked and once again was attacked. The staff via text insinuates that I'm lying because I didn't remember the staffs name who did my nails but I remembered the staff who did my feet. She then goes on to tell me that they will no longer be doing my nails and that I need to bring them a doctors note. I informed her I will do so but also let her know that I wasn't trying to cause any issues, I just wanted them to acknowledge what happened. That never happened and she refused to respond when I asked to watch the cameras with her. I thanked her for her Greta customer service and informed her I won't be coming back. I am very unsure why this spa is so underrated. I was going to holly nails near by until I had a few terrible experiences cus they're so busy even on weekdays I'm guessing since they have the most reviews. I'm glad that I tried this place even even though they lacked reviews. I got a fill but Jessica and she literally finished in 30 mins. She was quick but efficient and I love the almond shape that I feel that many technicians don't perfect well. I'll def be going to her again Then I got my lashes done after by Sophia which she did amazing !!! They look so beautiful but natural at the same time and they feel so comfortable I forget that I have extensions. My previous extensions were so thick and heavy and weighed down my eyes. These are long but look natural to the point where someone would wonder if they're even extensions. I'm excited to spoil my self here more regularly. Also the ambience is great. The place is dim and they use lamps for ur mani and pedi. So the dimness provides ultimate relaxation. As a mom of two toddlers this was much necessary. read more
