First off, let me say that I've been getting gel manicures and pedicures for many years. I decided to give my nails a break from acrylic and gel polishes. I went here to have my acrylic nails removed and get a regular mani and pedi. The nail tech had me place my fingers in what I believe to be 100% acetone to soften the acrylic nails. After removing my fingers from the acetone the technician proceeded to wipe off the remaining acrylic and then do my manicure. I had to ask her to let me wash my hands because my fingers were stinging a bit, the acetone was drying white on my fingers and the smell was strong. The finished product looked good until a day or so later when the skin on my fingers was dry and peeling, so the acetone literally burned off a layer of my skin!! I wish they would have taken care to ensure that there was only enough acetone to cover the tips of my fingers, where the nails are, duh, and not have it where my most of my fingers were in the acetone. My plan was to start doing my own nails anyway, so it's definitely one and done for me at Unique Salon. read more

I rarely right reviews, but I wanted to take the time to note my positive experience at Unique Salon. First of all, they were immediately ready to take me for my manicure and pedicure appointment. Kathy even had the water running for the pedicure as I walked in. For the 5 minute massage, she used this adorable duck timer to ensure I got the full 5 minutes (I've never seen that). For my gel manicure, Alex did some intricate designs on every nail for a very reasonable price. After being charged $15 for VERY simple designs on 2 fingers in Moreno Valley I was impressed and grateful. They earned the position as my go-to salon. I hope they remain as good for long .I'm starting to feel like if you want good service you should go to a shop where the owners are the techs. The 5 minute massage was more of a rub, but me mentioning that is just being me being particular bc I'm a perfectionist lol read more

I honestly would not recommend this salon. Although they were very nice I did not like my services at all. I have been getting dip nails for several years now and it felt like she wasn't sure how to remove the dip bc she ended up filling my nails super super thin to the point that the drill started to burn my nail. I also asked for a coffin shape but she only made it square. I also felt that the color didn't come out even. Also the worst part is my nail chipped today and it hasn't even been a week which is extremely disappointing. In terms of my pedicure I HATED that the lady dug in my toenails for sooooo long it started to get painful and uncomfortable. also they literally took a lemon and rubbed it on my leg it was very strange. again I thought they were really nice but in terms of the actual service it was not good or up to my standard. I'm writing this review so other people won't be misled by the good reviews here, like I was. Just my two cents. I was looking for an affordable haircut at a reliable stylist, so I turned to Yelp for assistance. 5 stars? Okay. I should have just gone with my friend's suggestions and gone elsewhere, because my haircut and experience was a disaster. I hate bashing on small businesses, but coming here is not worth your $20. I'm going to attach pictures that I showed Jenny, the stylist that everyone raves about, for inspiration, and what my hair looks like now. Now, the review. So essentially, I came in with a pretty good idea of what I wanted--a long bob with slight layering at the bottom for volume, no bangs, with no layers shorter than the bottom of my chin. (Think Taylor Swift minus bangs, Heidi Klum, Emma Stone, or Aubrey Plaza.) I was pretty unhappy with the cut when it was finished, but Jenny told me that it was beautiful and tried to convince me it was what I asked for. It looked NOTHING like the pictures I showed her, and she chopped off a giant chunk of where my bangs would when I asked for NO bangs. The shortest layers were way higher than the bottom of my chin. I honestly could have done better myself with safety scissors. Instead of looking like Taylor Swift, I looked like Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones. Or Billy Ray Cyrus. Whichever piques your imagination more. The next day (today) I went back to ask for my money back because I absolutely hated my cut. It was choppy, uneven, and looked completely different on both sides. I explained this to her calmly, and she was completely unapologetic. She again told me that it was what I asked for, and that it was a good haircut, while yelling at me. I told her I would never come back, and left. Even if I didn't get my money back, a simple "I'm genuinely sorry you didn't like your cut" would have been okay. I've never had a worse haircut or a worse experience anywhere else. TL;DR: Unprofessional, AND a horrible haircut to boot. I've had MUCH better experiences at SuperCuts, Great Clips, and Fantastic Sams, which are all around $20 as well. New customers, spend your money elsewhere, please. read more

This is a nice place to get your nails done. The pricing is fair. I got acrylics with gel and chromatic nails. My nail tech explained the prices before paying. It was $45 for acrylics +$5 for gel and +$5 for chrome. The lady asked if I had a photo reference (and I did!) and she was able to recreate it. I didn't give the place 5 stars because after my pedicure, I got an ingrown nail. But I still loved the polish and the service. I don't usually get pedicures but I will definitely come back for a manicure read more
