This Christmas marks my one-year anniversary with Slay Me Nails, and this is my honest one-year review. Over the past year, I've received eyebrow waxing, luminary gel fills, and classic pedicures, and the quality has been consistently excellent. The place is always clean, elegant, and well-maintained. Every tech I've encountered has been kind, professional, and welcoming, which really makes a difference. I love the atmosphere -- music and music videos on a big screen give it a fun, relaxing vibe. And now they even offer complimentary cocktails, which is such a nice touch! This is a new amenity, and I'm truly enjoying it The pricing is exactly what you'd expect for top-tier service. As my husband always says, "If you're gonna do it, then just DO IT!" And honestly, it pays to have the best. There's even a tech by the name of Amea... If you know, you know. I've included a photo of last year's Christmas tree, because it perfectly captures the festive, elegant feel of the space during the holidays. After a full year of great experiences, I can confidently say I highly recommend Slay Me Nails. Amy and Christy are both incredible nail techs.Amy is fantastic with pedicures and luminary gel -- I honestly fell in love with this spot because of her Christy is phenomenal with gel nails -- fast, efficient, and always delivers beautiful results. I'm sad I don't recall his name, but the tech with the magnificent pinky nail , he is top-tier with pedicures. His work speaks for itself. I am conflicted. I only recommend this place because for once, most of the people in there are actually good with nails and can do design. A couple of them are really talented... However, they are expensive!! I asked how much these nails would be (picture) and they quoted me $170!! Lmao. That's why your salons are hardly ever full. It used to be that you walk into a nail salon and it's packed with back to back appts and you had to wait for walk-ins. Now, I only see 2 or 3 people every time I go. Gone are the days when techs were good with nails because it's their job and that was the standard and they didn't price gouge every step of the way. There is no standard with all of these nail salons. Will do a crap job and just take your money but when you go somewhere that's actually good and can do what they're supposed to do, the prices are astronomical. So if you can't do your own nails and you want to splurge then this is the place to go to. It's a shame they think they're better off charging SO MUCH for nails when they would be getting way more customers and way more money if their prices were fair. Thank god I can do my own nails because it's getting ridiculous. And I get it, it costs a more for the extravagant designs and XL nails but not hundreds of dollars. Especially when people do their nails every 2-3 weeks. My guy, you're not saving lives here. You're also not Picasso. You're just painting the tips of my fingers. Also they need to fix their sewer problem. I went in there and I could barely tolerate the smell it was so bad and they're acting like they don't smell anything. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty salon and I'm glad to finally win the lottery-- I mean, find a place where they do a good job and the people seem nice but with these prices I won't be able to get my nails done on the regular anymore. And I was a weekly kind of girl too. And I'm sorry but if you think it's ok for prices to be this high, you are part of the problem. Charging a little more because product pricing has gone up is one thing but price gouging is another. Designs and fun stuff was always an extra 20-30 bucks. Not 75-100+!! Oh yes, and charging a lot for a pedicure that they still rush through and do a mediocre job with, just as they have always done. GREAT. 3 1/2 stars. read more

if I could give zero stars, I would I already reviewed on Google because I don't think anybody should be going here if you want good nails my nails are three days old and they're chipping. The layers of gel are coming apart and I've never had that happen to me? They are a horrible shape. I asked for stiletto and they're pretty much round. It was $100 for the most basic design ever and it took 2 1/2 hours for me to get out of there their customer service was rude. This is my third time going to this place and had a bad experience my eyebrows were not done properly the First Lady didn't even wax the top of my eyebrows. I wasn't going to leave a review at all, I was simply just not going to come back after my experience. This was my first and last time ever coming to this salon. I booked an appointment for a full set and 2 pedicures. My full set I requested it to be with MK as I'd seen he does good work in the reviews on yelp. However, I wasn't given that experience myself. When I arrived I was seated for my pedicure and I requested the most expensive since I haven't had my feet done in 2 months and could use a good pedicure. I also booked the same pedicure for my husband. The pedicure was not worth what they charge which was $75 I believe. It was super fast and they don't set the timer for the "15 minute massage" they cut into the massage time with hot wrapping towels and that alone pissed me off. My husband said his "massage" was more like just rubbing lotion for a couple of minutes and wasn't enjoyable to say the least. The "hot parrafin wax" for the feet was luke warm and I thought, this couldn't get any worse. Once my pedicure was "complete" I was seated at the desk to begin my full set. I asked for a simple, black full set with black gel polish. The application of the acrylic powder itself was completely uneven and missing some mostly at the top. I thought he'd go back in and apply more and even MK, himself, had noticed it was missing but figured it would be covered with t the gel regardless and probably thought I didn't notice nor care. But he was wrong. I was irritated. During my service he asked how I found them. I told him through yelp and seen he'd come highly recommended and I liked the work I'd seen done by him on yelp. He thanked me for coming in and choosing their salon not knowing I had regretted it and wouldn't be returning. Once he "finished" with the acrylic powder he moved onto the gel and I noticed the gel was missing from the sides of the nails and I politely asked if he'd cover them completely but he'd only done the nails I asked. Not all of them. Still, In utter disappointment I just thought how upset I'd be paying for these nails. Once we were, "finished" I noticed there was dry glue left all around my nails, my cuticles weren't done, they didn't look complete at all. Underneath my nails was lumps of acrylic powder. Most nail techs go in the drill and get anything left under my nails cleaned up and clean my cuticles up and use nail polish remover for anything else left like the dry glue. You'd think for $110 it would be included in the set, but I guess not. The one thing I did like was the shape but what good is the shape when everything else looked like this. When he asked if I liked them I told him yes bc I liked the shape but once I got to my car I realized how bad they really were. When I went to pay, the total was much more than I anticipated on paying and how I added it up. The prices on their website are much less than what they have in the salon. But I did see the salon prices when I arrived so I knew how much I'd be paying but still, they tried to charge me what they say is "card prices" if you're paying with a card and their cash price is what the menu prices are but didn't disclose any of that upon getting the services. My husbands pedicure lady also added a "$10 buff and shine fee" which we never consented to nor did we even know what that was prior to getting the service and the man ringing us up said my husband requested that and I said no he didn't because I'm the one who told her what pedicure to give him and he doesn't even know what that is so that's impossible. He brought his pedicure lady over and asked her in their language and he just removed the charge without saying what she said about it. That alone was very scammy to me in addition to not disclosing how much the difference varies if you're paying with a card. Luckily, I had cash the price dropped with those things by $24. I still ended up paying $285 not including tip. This first visit was one of the worst impressions. I also noticed on their menu when you're in the salon, behind the sticker they went from a 5 min massage to a 3 min massage and a 10 min massage to a $5 but upped their prices on them it doesn't make sense. Regardless they don't massage you for the amount of time it says anyways. But unfortunately not everyone receives the same treatment, and photos can be deceiving bc not all sets are posted and you don't know what goes on behind the scenes. I'm really over trying to find people who do a good job bc I'm wasting sm money trying to do so. What's ironic is MK even joked about if I was going to leave a bad review or not. Not knowing how disappointed I was with my visit. The vibe is also just very monotone there's no life, doesn't feel inviting or a cozy place. read more

I've been meaning to leave a review for this place, specifically for the nail technician, Tim. Since I've started going here, he's always been wonderful to schedule with. The nails itself are always so beautiful, he pays attention to detail from shape, color, etc. He's always super patient with helping me decide what color of acrylic I should go with, and this most recent time even kind enough to give me some tips on how to strengthen my nails and protect my cuticles. Inconsistent quality with consistently high prices! The location is nice but the quality is so hit or miss. For a bit there was a few nail techs that did good nail art and pedicure. This was my spot for over a year. Over time the quality really slipped. I started getting the builder gel but found that not everyone could do it well. I had to book with my favorite techs who were often overbooked leading me to take appointments with the techs that did a horrible job. After my second crappy over priced manicure set, I decided to find a new place. As for pedicures, the same applies. If you find a good tech good luck booking them. Everyone else paints poorly and gives you cuts or doesn't remove cuticles well. I can say the place is clean, just wish every tech did a solid job. So disappointing! read more

Was quoting me over $180 for just a simple french tip full set will never come back here

Today I had my daughter go there she called and requested a gel pedicure and asked for the pricing which she was told $30. She was able to go in right at the time that they told her to which was 4 o'clock. Once she got there she was told it's 20 more dollars just for the gel polish on top of the $30 pedicure, which was not discussed over the phone. I gave her $40 because she's a 16-year-old kid $40 so she can get her pedicure and maybe if she wanted a design extra $10 when it was time to pay they charged her 50 and she only had 4042. Then the lady tells my daughter she paid nine dollars instead of the 42 and they were trying to process it but it wasn't going through so my daughter explained to me that she paid 42 but had a nine dollar balance. I had $20 cash. I asked her to come get the $20 so she can finish paying and that is when all these adult Asian men and two other women surrounded my child I guess assuming she was going to try to run even though she had already paid $42. So my daughter text me mom help please just come in and give me the money. I was unable to go in because I had my toddler son sleep in the car so I ended up going inside and handed her $20 and went and sat back down in my car. She still was taking a while and I was trying to figure out what was going on. Once I went inside, that's when the lady was trying to explain that my daughter only paid nine dollars maybe her English was not very good and she didn't understand what she was saying or doing. I have no idea but when I looked on my daughter's bank account it showed she paid $42 and some change to which I showed it to this woman because she was trying to tell me no she did not pay it so I literally pulled up my daughter's online bank account and showed her and it said slamming nails $42 so I showed the lady and she says oh OK and walks off and then another lady comes in and says oh well she still owes nine dollars. I'm like yes that's why she had to go to the car to get more money for me which you guys were surrounding my kid. Anyway, I paid my the fee and absolutely did not give any type of tip but will never come to this nail shop again. I have been there before they did a terrible pedicure on me and I already knew I did not really like the vibe there because the people aren't very friendly and then they tried to up Charge on everything so now it's even more solid that I will never come back to that shop again and I would urge you if your person of color probably not to go back there either since they're assuming that people are walking out. read more

I normally don't make reviews but this place does deserve a review. This was my first time visiting this salon because it was near my job. I was a walk in and they were able to squeeze me in and I told them I had to leave by 2:00. They managed to get my nails anddd toes done in 1 hour and the quality and service was excellent even when they had to speed through. I appreciate that they didn't get upset that I was on a time crunch. I also would like to add I love how I can tip electronically and I didn't have to get extra money out the ATM it was so convenient. I definitely will be returning!! read more

I came here back in September and loved my experience so I returned to get my nails done for Halloween. Tim did my nails this time and he filed my previous gel off instead of soaking them off and continued to file my nails a lot once the color was off as well. I liked how my nails looked and thought nothing of the filing since my nails looked long after my appointment and I assumed he knew what he was doing. Hours later I realized how weak my nails were, they went from strong to bendable. I came in on Thursday and by Sunday my nails were breaking on the sides, too far down my finger for me to just clip. I had to trim all my nails in order to get them to not fully break, but the damage was already done on 4 and the pain that came with it was terrible. He ruined my previously long and strong nails.
